Mikey's

It struck me odd, that Mikey's place was completely different. She lived alone, her parents were always abroad but they kept her financially stable. Her place was always so, kept together. Now, this place looked like a pig sty, old pizza boxes from our local pizzeria " Danny Harlin's Pizza", laundry thrown over the furniture, and kitty litter scattered on the ground. I didn't know Mikey even had a cat? "Look, a lot's changed since ya last came here angel face." Mikey was looking at the old fuzzy black carpeted floor, she looked nervous and maybe just a little embarrassed. "So, not to be annoying but, what the hell happened?" Ah, I was waiting for this I guess, Mikey just can't stop being the curious girl she is. I mean, well, it was one of the reasons I had even fallen in love with her. She will always be nostalgic to me. The off-white walls, taped windows, and dimmed lighted small 3 roomed apartment will be a second to me forever. The times we would run into the old broken lap right next to her door, when we got a bottle of beer and some really good Cheeto puffs. I could almost hear our giggles and snorting, the lamp falling on the ground while she and I only stayed in place on the ground mesmerized by each others faces and just how happy we were. I then realized Mikey has been snapping in my face for over 10 minutes. "AY! Angel face listen! WE have got some real shit going on, stop doing whatever the fuck is going on up in there!" She seriously has a point there. "Ok, promise not to freak if I tell you?" "Honestly angel face, I'm ready for anything." Her face was so stern it was frightening.
