Delay

Kaze's plans to find out Dr. Karen Raymond was momentarily delayed by the sudden commotion that took place which he was forced to be a part of due to circumstances.

He sat in the med bay while going through any and every file ZIA could pull out on Dr. Raymond, l and waited for Xander, his supposed friend, to wake up.

"What's happening"? That's the first thing Kaze heard Xander say when he woke up.

Kaze retaliated with a similar question, "What happened at the training"?

"They said we need to master flying by today. Due to my poor scores I had to go multiple times. I ended up puking, I think. So I came back to take some rest. Why am I here"?

"You looked… sick. So I brought you here" Kaze answered almost robotically.

"Alright"

"The doctor said you have dehydration coupled with nausea. He gave you those medications." He pointed at the tray near the head stand.

"Thanks...I guess" Xander mumbled then took the medicines as implied. Feeling much better after a nap he got down. "I need to go to my room," he mumbled. "How was your training"? Xander asked.

"Exquisite" is all Kaze replied. Knowing that there was not much point in waiting for Kaze to continue the conversation, Xander got up and left. Xander assumed Kaze would have followed him, but after crossing the corridor he found out that wasn't the case. Xander went back to see what Kaze was up to only to find out he had vanished from his spot.

On the other hand, staying in the med bay allowed him access to a couple of drugs. He didn't have any particular drug in mind, but chose mostly the sedatives and a stash of epipens to steal. He took the back exit and headed for the training building. He needed to find Dr. Karen Raymond, and for that he programmed ZIA to look for any traces that were left by the doctor.

If only ZIA could hack into the surveillance system and use the in built facial recognition system to find Dr. Karen Raymond. Not that her software wasn't capable of hacking, but doing that poses a risk of exposure. Her software is like that hidden malware which when exposed can warn the facilities for a virus check. They might get to ZIA or worse, Kaze can get caught in the fiasco.

"I am unable to locate Dr. Karen Raymond at this very moment. Should I carry on with my search, Captain"? ZIA asked.

"Yes", taking a quick glance around to ensure he was alone, he mumbled.

Since the biohazard room was only accessible to her, there was no way he could go there without her biometrics. He might be able to replicate them, but given his limited access to technology and equipment, that might not be an option at the moment.

Frustrated, he had no option but to wait it out… unless, he went looking for her himself. IAEA was a huge facility, and given the difference in ranks of Kaze and Dr. Raymond, not everything might be accessible to them. With that being said, he still could search out the areas accessible to him.

After a quick search of his own building, he decided to check the building with their current training simulation facilities. He ensured he wasn't caught, making every turn carefully with softer than feather steps and passed undetected through his entire scrutiny of the building. Alas, when he found nothing he was frustrated beyond anything. Looks like there would be further delays in escaping this planet.

[Z/ tell me how much damage has occurred to me till now?] He typed on his phone.

"After a quick scan the damage is approximately 30 percent." ZIA declared. He needed to return fast if he were to recover from whatever damage oxygen or even this atmosphere was doing to him.

He finally arrived at the end of his scrutiny, the place which mattered to him the most. The door of the biohazard room. The entire floor was dark, given how it was non-functional at the moment, except from the area around the staircases.

His alien vision however allowed him to see pretty clearly in the dark, especially when there was a second light source coming from below the door of the biohazard room.

Someone was inside, and whoever it was must be doing something important. All he hoped was that the person was not dismantling the ship further than he had already damaged it. A while later, the doors opened prompting Kaze to hide in the corner, as none other than Dr. Karen Raymond walked out of the door with another person.

"We are done for the day. Let's continue with our analysis tomorrow." She declared.

"Yes, ma'am" The person nodded and walked away. Dr. Karen Raymond turned around to take a final look followed by a sigh, before she headed for closing the door. Suddenly a ping in her phone interrupted from doing so. Dr. Karen could tell it was urgent from the tone of the ping.

Unfortunately, it was really hard to access her phone along with handling it thanks to the biohazard suit she was wearing. When she finally managed to take it out, it slipped off and fell on the ground agitating her further. "Why does it have to be now"! She groaned in frustration.

Picking up the phone she finally realised that there was a breach alert in the system, which needed her immediate attention. She closed the door in a hurry and ran to the main building even without taking out her safety suit.

Finally when the corridor was empty again, Kaze emerged, but not from the corner he was hiding, but from the back of the door inside the biohazard room. Turns out it was him who generated that fake ping in order to distract Dr. Karen Raymond enough to slyther in.

He had to use his powers to ensure her grip on the phone slipped, but it was worth it, if it was going to get him out of here. He finally took a glance at the room, which was filled with multiple unexplored alien tech. It could very well be a floor of the space museum itself. From a tiny transponder to a giant spaceship… there was everything,

After a thorough search, which wasn't that time taking, he finally found his own S-Capsule. It was not in the shape to take him home, but by the time Kane is done with it, it just might take him to Syverzius.
