On Earth

~a month ago on earth~

It was two days after Kaze left earth that things finally started to fall apart. The origin of which was a simple chip. "I got this" Violette, or Kane as they knew her back then showed them a chip. "This contains the security footage of what happened back at the biohazard room."

"Wait, you want us to see a murder scene"? Sander's sister asked, reluctantly.

"You're afraid or something"? Violette asked in a condescending manner.

"No" Immediately the Sander's sister shrugged off.

"I am curious, Where the hell did you get that? How the hell do you have access to everything that is shielded off from us"! Xander bursted out. "Are you… a felon"? He couldn't help but ask.

"I am so much more than that" She winked at him and fit it inside her phone. Soon there was a projection from her phone depicting everything in the giant wall, which worked as a screen.

As they witnessed the encounter they were left horrified. Not surprised, but horrified. "They said Kaze attacked Dr. Raymond, that he fooled us, when in reality they were studying him all this time"? Xander mumbled. "If I were him, I'd kill her too"

"Hey she was just being careful" The Sander's brother defended immediately.

"And how do you explain that she is a lysserion? Every transmogrification has a record. Her's isn't one of them"! Xander scoffed.

"How the hell can you possibly know that"? The Sanders brother turned his head.

"I checked it yesterday," Kane prompted. "I was going through the files to figure out something. She wasn't on the list"

"Exactly. She is accusing him of the very thing she is guilty of. I am sure hiding those scales would have been easy, until she invented that transmogrification machine" Xander huffed.

"How determined you are to claim her as the villain" The Sanders brother scoffed.

"I can say the same with you and Kaze,'' Xander blurted. "Look, I know you had your differences with him, but even you gotta admit. All the time he was here he didn't harm any of us on purpose. In fact, he always kept to himself." Xander argued defensively.

"Guys"! The Sanders sister shouted at them. "Pull yourself together. Who cares who the villain was, Dr. Karen Raymond is dead and Kaze is gone. For now, it's us who have to survive here."

"She's right," Kane snorted at her.

Amidst their argument they heard another person say, "Kane"! All of them, including Kane, turned around quickly. They were startled, no doubt but Kane still managed to shut off the projector just in case. She was still pretty sure thay Mr. Roman saw it. The ability of Mr. Roman to sneak up is something that annoyed and scared the entire team.

"Yes, Sir" Kane replied flatly as if she wasn't guilty of breaking many rules.

"The director requests your presence" Mr Roman declared sternly. "Follow me". He turned around to leave and Kane followed him as asked.

"Oh my God. I think she is in trouble" After almost a minute Sanders sister mumbled.

"I knew these were dangerous. It was about time". Sanders brother huffed.

Xander shot a quick glare at him before saying, "at this rate Team C will end up dissolving." He mumbled.

When Mr. Roman reached the Director's chamber that was situated in a whole different building whatsoever, and waited outside the room. "Go in" he ordered Kane, before punching his biometrics for access. From now, she was all on her own.

On the other side of the door, there was a big office on the edge of which was a giant, almost empty table and a middle aged man sitting there, just waiting for Kane to arrive. "I've been summoned"? Kane asked the Director.

"Yes, you are." A stern reply came. "I see you have been snooping around the entire building and on the server for the past couple of days. Care to explain"? He asked.

"What is there to explain?" Kane declared flatly. "It is exactly as it looks like".

"You realise you could get kicked out right"? The Director threatened.

"Might as well. It's not like I am here by choice" Kane scoffed.

"What else would you rather be doing"? The Director scoffed with rage. "Cause that answer has always been a blank stare. You were kicked out of military school, you were kicked out of the convenience store, you were kicked out everywhere you have ever been a part of"! The Director snarled at her. "You always get kicked out wherever you go"!

"I guess that's my thing," Kane shrugged. "Besides, I thought you brought me here because I can't get kicked out" She challenged the director with a snort.

"Violette, you're not a teenager anymore. This rebellious thing that you've been going on, you gotta get rid of it." The director snarled.

"You think I have been acting out like a kid"? Violette rolled her eyes. "I've merely been verifying what I have always believed about this institution. It's a fraud."

"Look, I know you're upset that your friend got convicted-"

"He is not my friend" before the director could finish, Violette cut him off.

"Regardless, what he did was wrong" The director sighed.

"Really? He tried to survive because everyone was hunting him.. Yeah that sounds super antagonising towards the human race" Violette remarked with sarcasm. "You and I, we both know how unfair this organization is to the people who are not them."

"That is not true. We maintain peace with the aliens" The Director insisted.

"Really, then why is no one an alien worker? Or the fact that Dr. Karen Raymond was a Lysserion herself, had to be a secret. Just because our president is a Lysserion, doesn't mean we actually have alien harmony" Violette scoffed.

The director was taken aback by that piece of information. "How much do you know"? He asked with utmost concern.

"I know enough. I know like her, like you, many lie about who they are in this place. I know there is something going on in this place" Violette pursed her lips. "And I am gonna figure it out"

"Listen, don't go digging up stuff that doesn't concern you. If you dig deep, I won't be able to protect you. You won't be kicked out, you'll be killed." The director.

"What's the guarantee that if I stay put, I'll be safe?" Violette challenged.

For that the Director had no reply. Dejected, Violette turned around to leave when she heard the director say, "Don't do this daughter".
