Loop

Xander found himself waking up in a soft bed with a comfortable blanket laid over him. After a year of uncomfortable tracksuits, he was quite relieved to have that blanket over him. Last time he ever heard of a blanket was back when he was on earth. He really missed home.

The scent of Sunday morning pancakes and the anticipation of raspberry sherbet in the evening. It was good to be back home….

… wait, back home? Xander's eyes opened with a jerk and he looked around himself for signs of any hint as to where he was. No matter what, there was no way he was back home, given that the earth was destroyed, although from the smell of it, any alternative idea seems a bit ridiculous.

Xander hesitated, but gradually and eventually he got out of his bed. He located the smell and tried to follow its course to its origin. On the way, he started to notice his surroundings more clearly.
