"Of course it's not, but aren't you curious?"
"About what?"
"Everything related to him." Shrugging her shoulders, Holly further explained." It's been years since we last saw or shared a decent conversation with him, we don't even know if he is alive or—"
Cutting her off , Evelyn stated, "He is very much alive and living."
Raising her brows, Holly curiously questioned her best friend. "And how do you know that? As far as I know, you are not in touch with him for years now."
"Thomas bumped into him last month again. He told me this when I met him at the mall." After the heartbreaking breakup years back, Evelyn hadn't contacted Edward or tried to look for him. She did feel extremely restless when she heard the news about his super early retirement from the music industry which was really very surprising because music is all he lived for. But she somehow managed to refrain herself from getting involved with him again.
But now the tables had turned, she had no other choice but to dig into his life and get involved with him.
"I don't understand why only Thomas bumps into him and not any of us?" Widening her eyes in shock, Holly beamed, "Do you think something is going on between the two of them?"
"What? Of course not, I can't say for Thomas but Edward is very much straight, he is straighter than any other men in this entire Ansbert city," Evelyn snapped.
"Geez alright, why are so keen to defend his masculinity? There is nothing wrong even if he isn't straight anymore. The world is a diverse one, every kind masculinity and femininity is accepted now."
"I know and I am not against anything, neither am I trying to defend him." When Holly raised her brows, she quickly added, "I am just saying that—"
Cutting her of, Holly snapped, "Save that explanation for someone who cannot see through you. Anyway, how are you planning to find out where he is? Should we call Thomas again?"
Slumping on the couch, Evelyn sighed, "Do we have any other choice?"
...
5:00 pm.
Evelyn and Holly's place.
Pacing back and forth in annoyance with a huge frown on her face, Evelyn snapped, "Great, now I will definitely get fried."
"Relax, maybe someone else knows where Ed stays." Scrolling through her contact list, Holly added, "I really thought Thomas would be a huge help, too bad he forgot to ask Edward where he stays."
Groaning in frustration, she threw the blue file on the floor. "Everything is getting so complicated and this stupid blue thing is of no use."
"Woah someone looks super bumped." Leaning against the slab of the door, Rylan chuckled, "Did someone steal your food again?"
Slumping on the bed, Evelyn sighed, "I wish someone would have stolen my food. That would have been ten times better than this stupid project."
Picking up the file from the floor, Rylan made his way towards Holly. Sitting right next to her, he kissed her forehead. "Our Evy looks super stressed today."
"Uh huh, she has all the reasons to feel stressed and to freak out." Wrapping her arms around his, Holly smiled at him. "You are home early today."
"Yeah, it wasn't a busy day so I took an early departure to spend some quality time with my beautiful girlfriend and our super stressed friend." Flipping over the blue file, he inquired, "What is this about?"
"This is a new project which Davis handed over to Evy today."
"That is great—" He stopped midway when he felt Evelyn's life threatening stare. Awkwardly clearing his throat, he nervously added. "I mean, it doesn't sound that—" Looking at the name and picture which covered the entire front page of the blue file, he beamed, "Your project is Edward Wilson?"
