Adjudicator’s Adventuring Guild

The streets were still full of women. Though it wasn't like there was much people here in the first place. The plaza had become emptied and only a few people had remained now that it was mid day.

Compared to the 40 hour day and 10 hour night of Orkin, this place's day and night cycle was just like Earth.

I wonder how time translates here to Orkin? Is it like 1 minute here and 2 minute there? Or is it just the same and Orkin's days are two days here? I tossed these thoughts to the back of my head, I'll eventually know.

As I wondered about the plaza, I spotted shops and retailers that sold clothes that looked similar to Earth's clothes. I would say that they are kinda useless, except for the fact the Orkin's fashion sense isn't that great.

Looking at the clothes on display at the store's window, it reminded me of how much Rose had spent on my clothes. I need some source of money, not only to pay Rose back, but to buy some food to.

*Growl*

My stomach agreeded with me via a growl. Though I can survive for a few days without eating, it's not like I don't need to eat some food. I'm eventually need some nutrition, so how do I get money?

My eyes spotted a building not too far off the distance where I was. Bingo!

...

I walked into the building while looking around at the place. The entrance looked like a normal front desk accompanied by a receptionist, while on the side were some elevators.

"Excuse me sir, do you know where you are?" The woman at the front desk at asked me in a polite tone.

"I believe so"

"And what might that be sir?" I stopped looking around and turned to the woman.

"An adventuring guild..." The receptionist nodded and replied back.

"Do you have the qualification? This is mandatory as we are not responsible for anything that goes wrong on mission. Are you alright with that?"

"I am okay with that, so...what is the qualifications?" The woman at the desk flipped some paper and checked through a file.

"You must have at least 150 total base attributes, do you meet these standards?" The woman asked in a condescending tone with full confidence. I did the some quick maths and I had 170.5 base points. I think I qualify.

"Yes, I do" The receptionist squinted her eyes at me before widening them again.

"Please use the elevators and go to the 12th floor, Mr Carter will be seeing you" She had spoke to me with her head down. I could see the redness of her embarrassment. I sighed, that's what you get for underestimating someone.

I entered in one of the elevators and pressed the 12th floor. As the doors were about to close a hand had stopped the doors. The doors reopened for a young man carrying some piles of paper, some was flying away as he had just sprinted to catch this elevator.

He looked pretty young, but he seemed older than me. Which was really weird as I was really tall and he was kinda short.

I picked some papers off the ground and gave them back to him, he responded with a thanks and pressed his floor number. The elevator doors closed for good and the metal box that carried us started to move.

It was quite awkward for me, the last time I had spent with someone this long, we started making out. I looked at the guy with an expressionless face, he smiled awkwardly. I like women so I didn't care any less about the man beside me.

*DING*

The doors open and we both walked out. The floor was once again like an office except the desks were facing a chair. It seemed like an interview set up but I guess they do have to know a bit about you before you enter their guild.

"Mr Quinn? Right here please" A middle aged man had stood up from his desk and brought me to his desk.

"So Mrs Quinn, I am very sorry for our receptionist but I do too have some worries about you. Is it alright for me to ask?" I nodded.

"I have seen your values, but may I ask, why are you in this world? You see, if you are trying to just steal the spotlight and fame from hardworking supporters because you are built like a warrior, it would be bad for our reputation here. Do you understand?" There's people like that?

"I understand. But I'm not here to steal some fame or spotlight. I'm currently in need of some money so I just thought that I could gain some here. Is that how these places work?"

"Indeed, we do work like that. But your reason for coming here doesn't justify your stats being warrior-like, can you explain" The man had tapped in his keyboard a few times before turning to me. I guess they like information, I guess everyone does. Everyone has the fear of the unknown so we first must get some information about it first.

"It's about my abilities, they are related to my health. As a supporter, we are needed for many things. One of them is healing. How it is related to my health is something I can't disclaim" The man stared at me for a bit before typing on his computer.

Though information is nice, when someone else has your information it feels uncomfortable and unnerving. So I decided to to only told them that I can be the support I'm supposed to be.

"I see, as you have just arrived at as adventuring guild, I take it you don't know how these work?" I nodded, even though I have pretty good anime knowledge, it can be very different than in real life.

"So, how things work here is we get projects from the governments around the world. From Sana to the sea of Fen. We get projects from many places. With these outlines of their projects. we put up missions according to the materials needed. After we have a team suited for the mission, we send them to the first floor and once they return back they receive an award based on the mission difficulty. Are you still with me?"

"Yes sir!" The man chuckled.

"I haven't been addressed in that way in a long time. Brings me back to the back old times...Anyways, we have a ranking system here. Based on this ranking system you receive a privilege in the guild building. In this guild building there is training centres, spas, a blacksmith and some more services. The way to go up the ranks is by completing missions. The ranks go in order from worst to best. Here" He gave me a piece of paper from his desk and I examined it.

"I know its a lot to take in, but since your just at bronze, don't worry about advancing too fast. We all have our own pace" I nodded.

"For the ranks, Whats the privileges?" The man fumbled a couple of his papers before handing them to me.

Crystalline coins? I guess there's another coin higher than gold.

"Excuse me, how much gold coins is in crystalline coin?" The man grumbled and stroked his chin.

"About 300 gold coins. If that's all your questions wait a bit before I collect your adventure identity card" He got up from the desk and left me to myself in the room. I saw the same guy I was in the elevator with. Who he was interviewing was a familiar face.

"Miss Prim?..." When Miss Prim had heard my call, she looked in my direction instantly. I saw her lick her lips and I didnt feel like resisting so I unwrapped my bloody bandages from my neck and she thought of it as an invitation. From across the room, she came to me in an instant.

She jumped on me and stared sucking my blood with a ecstatic face.

...

A man was coming back to his desk with a card for a certain man he had interview in his hand. Coming out of the hallway, he saw the view of the office.

In front of his desk looked a bit weird. The man he was interviewing now had a girl on his lap drinking his blood.

The man thought 'What the hell is happening?!'
