The match began.
Ms. Trisha dashed forward, but she stopped halfway when she noticed that the princess was coming at her quick.
Swish!
Aurelia thrusted her rapier towards Ms. Trisha's neck. Going for the vital points already? Ms. Trisha dashed backward and touched her neck to see if it was hit.
"That was close."
A guy said next to me. I looked and a boy a few inches taller than me with cyan hair and emerald green eyes was standing next to me. He was wearing a sleeveless black vest and trousers the color of desert sand with… sandals? What kind of fashion sense does this guy have? Though I must say he chose a pretty good color for his weapon which was a spear. It was completely black.
"Oh sorry about that. I tend to think loudly sometimes."
"No, it's alright."
"My name is Ordos Lawrence."
"Seiya, Seiya Gekiryu."
"Uoo, that sounds like a cool name."
"Uhh, thanks."
This guy is a chatterbox. If we were to do teams, I would definitely not want to work with this guy. He's like a beacon with that hair of his and his annoying ass voice.
Back to the fight.
The princess was nimble, she was evading all of Ms. Trisha's attacks with ease. All her attacks were aimed for the neck and when she can't find an opening, her attacks were aimed at every other vital point on the human body. The princess could win, but if this was a real fight with no limitations, I don't think she would stand a chance because Ms. Trisha is faster. She was dodging and weaving nonchalantly.
Suddenly the princess was knocked off guard. Trisha had grabbed onto the princess' weapon and jumped forward, her knee aimed for the princess' chest. Luckily, the princess dodged right before she was hit. The princess had a slim figure, meaning she's flat. Not to offend any girls, but a slim figure is a useful thing. You can dodge easier since you don't have any weight on your chest. By weight, I mean…
Well… you know… boobs.
The princess appeared behind Trisha and kicked her away. Trisha bounced back onto her feet and smirked.
"Impressive."
Suddenly the princess gave off a bright glow. I had to look away since her aura was so radiant. White and yellow, the colors of the sun. Later the light died down, though barely because the princess looked a bit different now.
Boosh!
White flames brighter than any flashlight sprouted from her back, and they shaped into wings. The end of her dress became two tails tainted with curled silver feathers. Her eyes dimmed a golden color.
"That's her Spirito, the white phoenix!"
"I've heard that she had a white phoenix Spirito, but I've been doubting it until now."
"She is definitely out of my league now."
White phoenix? That sounds kinda cool, not gonna lie.
"Full body transformation?"
Trisha asked the princess. She shook her head.
Oh yeah, full-body transformation. So it turns out that you can't fully transform into your Spirito just by the first try. You have to go through three stages. One, partial body transformation. Imagine your Spirito was a tiger or something like that. You can make your hand into the hand of a tiger, your feet, you can also grow a tail. However, you can transform one part of your body. Most people get past the first stage since it's pretty easy, but I'm at that stage since I just found out my Spirito. The next stage is incomplete body transformation. This is when you unlock to transform more than one part of your body. You can do the entire leg or the entire arm. This is the transformation that the princess is using right now. Last is the full-body transformation. I believe that Ms. Trisha just demonstrated it earlier. You can transform into your Spirito completely. There are two options, a humanoid form or the beastly form. She was using the beastly form if I'm correct. It's a bit harder to handle the beastly form, that's why you got the humanoid form. The information I got was that using a full body transformation requires a large amount of mana and stamina to handle. You can unlock your full body transformation around the age of eighteen if you have already utilized your incomplete body transformation.
Okay, enough with the transformation stuff. I'm getting a feeling that this fight is going to be an exciting one.
The princess took a step forward, and she instantly teleported in front of Trisha. I could tell that Trisha's body acted on its own because she didn't flinch when the princess had landed a harsh kick. Trisha's arm managed to block the attack before it hit her chest.
Spirito forms enhance the user's speed, strength, senses, and resistance. Of course, this won't be applied to all Spirito forms. It seems that a white phoenix Spirito enhances the user's speed, power, and resistance. When you activate your full body transformation though, not only will all those three factors be boosted, but so will your senses.
The princess dashed forward and barraged Ms. Trisha with fiery punches. Of course, she blocked them as she was still faster. The princess took the handle of her blade and began to thrust her sword rapidly. She was so fast that I could actually hear a sharp noise coming from her blade.
Ms. Trisha managed to dodge, and she stepped behind the princess. The princess was quick and reacted by jumping into the air. The princess began to make a magic formation. One, two, three, she was going to perform a third-tier spell. Spells are determined by how many magic formations you can create, and a third-tier spell is basically the highest form of beginner magic. I'm impressed she can conduct a third-tier spell. The best I can do is two magic formations. I can learn pretty quickly, but I can't immediately master something in such a short amount of time. I mastered knife throwing in a year under harsh training.
Just as she was about to cast the spell, Ms. Trisha interrupted.
"Aurelia Lucifis, you pass."
The princess hesitated for a moment, then nodded as she dispersed her magic formations and floated down towards the ground. Her wings dissolved into ashes and her tail returned into her dress. Damn, just a few more seconds and I would've gotten to see the good part. I must say, that was a pretty impressive fight even though it ended pretty shortly.
For some reason, I get a weird vibe from Ms. Trisha. I don't know what but I just have the feeling.
"Next?"
"Oh, that's me."
Ordos who was next to me shuffled through everyone. Apologizing as he passed the others. As he got to the front, he took a hold of his spear and got into a low stance.
Let's see what the talkative dude can do.
Ms. Trisha began counting down.
"Three…"
I noticed that there was sand in Ordos' hair. But what I thought was sand, wasn't sand at all. His hair was changing colors similar to sand. You could say he had sandy hair.
That was a bad one…
Crack!
The coming from his back came out a giant tail. A scorpion tail, to be exact. The stinger at the end of his tail was glowing cyan. His Spirito is a scorpion, huh?
Ms. Trisha didn't seem to be affected by this. She continued to count until she reached zero.
"…Zero…"
Suddenly, Ordos jumped into the air, then he slammed the ground with his spear, creating spiky pillars made out of rocks that traveled towards Trisha. She was quick to react as she dashed to the side. She appeared next to Ordos and then placed her palm on the side of his stomach.
Confused, Ordos glanced at her, but it was too late. Ordos was suddenly blasted away, and he crashed into a pillar.
I saw what she did. She quickly activated a spell that blows your opponent away. It's an easy spell to perform as it requires one magic formation. If it were to have a name, it would be call soaring fist. Spends a small amount of mana for a quick and powerful punch. I could probably perform it since I have wind aptitude.
Looks like Ordos lost this one. But when I looked over to the pillar that Ordos had crashed into, he was gone. That was when I noticed he was suddenly behind Trisha, his stinger above Trisha's face and the end of his spear pointed at her neck.
I noticed that there was a trail of sand. He must have earth aptitude, and if I were to be specific, he knows sand magic.
Impressive, I didn't actually see that coming. I would've been totally caught off guard. Maybe he's not a beacon after all.
"A sand user, huh? You will be an interesting student. Good, you pass."
Ordos smirked and retracted his spear and his tail. His tail dispersed into sand and as he walked over the trail of sand, he seemed to absorb it into his feet. Maybe he's like me. If he's in an area full of sand or… a desert, he would probably have an infinite source of mana as well.
"Next!"
As the next examinees fought with Trisha, I was carefully inspecting her movements. I'm going to have to know everything about this woman when I fight her.
After what seemed like only two minutes, it was already my turn. I didn't learn much from the previous fights, except that Trisha was fast and seemed to play around with most of the examinees.
"Number 21?"
"Here."
It was finally my turn. I was getting bored of seeing people get their asses kicked. Only five out of twenty people have passed so far. I'm hoping that I won't be the ones that failed. If that annoying cyan haired dude can pass, then so can I.
My left hand was trembling, but I managed to stop it. Don't show weakness, it will be your downfall.
"Are you ready?"
Trisha said. I looked around and inspected for any shadows that I could use. The only shadows that were available were the ones behind the pillars. I've been meaning to try out a new move that I invented. Well, new for me, but I don't know if it is new in this world.
For now, defeating her is my number one priority.
I unsheathed my dragon's talon and got into a stance. Trisha smirked and began counting down.
"Three, two, one…"
I am prepared. And also, I am fully… concentrated.
"…Zero…"
