{Ordos' POV}
From the looks of it, it seems Seiya caused quite a mess. Almost half of the entire mammoth forest was destroyed.
"Wow Seiya, you really went on a rampage didn't you?"
The whole forest was nothing but large craters. The skies were plagued with dust and ashes, debris everywhere, animal corpses, well at least he got rid of every monster nest that could prove a danger to others. Well, if there are any others left.
As I wander around what used to be the mammoth forest, I barely encountered a single entity. Considering the amount of monster left, I'd say it would be pretty rare to find a monster.
About a few minutes of a leisurely stroll, I've gotten nowhere. I mean, where the hell am I gonna find Seiya here? He's probably somewhere making some breakfast right now.
Damn, now I want to eat some of his cooking. I've never tasted something so good in my life. I'm gonna have to knock him out of whatever state he is in right now.
The Seiya I saw yesterday, he was nothing like the Seiya I knew before that.
He was… far beyond edgy that I actually wanted to almost puke. Normal edgy Seiya is enough.
Crackle!
I raised my head to see a lightning bolt plunging down towards the earth. Following that was a gigantic explosion which almost knocked me off my feet.
Now if I were to guess, that would be where Seiya is. Or, where Seiya should be close to. After all, who can throw such powerful lightning like that? Zeus maybe? Jupiter… wait, wasn't that what Seiya named one of his attacks? Jupiter's Hammer? What was he thinking?
I couldn't help but chuckle at that thought. Well, I can't really say anything since I can't really come up with a good attack name. Piercing Vortex? Tyrannical Fist? Shadow Purgatory? Jeez, they sound so cool. The best I could come up with was Drilling Assault until he named it Piercing Vortex.
As I was drowning in thoughts, I suddenly heard a voice.
"Help me!"
I turned and there was someone running towards me. Wow, someone is still alive.
"What's wrong?" I'd ask as I approach him but what I saw behind him made me stop.
There was a figure trailing the guy. At first I thought it was just a monster and this guy was trying to bring it to me but I took a closer look. It looked humanoid but it also had a spiky figure. With all this smog, I couldn't see it clearly but to me, it definitely didn't look friendly.
I guess I should help the guy from whatever this thing is.
I took my spear and charged forward.
"Move out of the way!" I yelled and the guy ducked. I'd thrust my spear forward and it collided with the large figure.
Chink!
A faint metal sound was heard when my weapon struck the figure. Though it didn't feel like I did much damage, the figure had stopped moving. I was a bit confused why but that's when it hit me. This dude was being chased by a Fatisense.
These creatures are B-ranks. They are basically the combination of a monitor lizard and a porcupine, hence their spiky appearance. The spikes are extremely thick and extremely sharp as well, they are able to pierce even the toughest of metals. Thought they may look hostile and look like they could attack you as soon as they see you, the thing is that they can't see. But in exchange for being blind, they have super-enhanced hearing.
Being blind is not the only weakness this thing has. It is also weak to metal. Yeah, you heard me. You can stun it temporarily with anything made of metal. It's said that it is "allergic" to a substance stored in metal. My spear being made of metal(obviously) had just stunned it. Though I didn't stab it, it's better to run while it is dazed.
I quickly pulled my spear away and ran towards the guy.
"Hey you alright?" I asked and he looked at me. He nodded with a face of relief, but then he looked scared again. That's when I sensed something coming my way. Quickly, I jumped to the side, avoiding the projectile flung towards me.
As I got back up, the guy had vanished and in his place was a bunch of spikes.
Oh yeah, I may have forgotten to mention that it can shoot the spikes on its body. Also, it's only stunned for a maximum of ten seconds.
Well, I just wasted my time saving someone who just in the end got eliminated. Heck, I didn't even know who he was. I think he was my classmate but I'm not sure.
The Fatisense looked around or well, motioned its head around. It's probably listening for any sounds right now. I should stand still. If I don't make noise, then it won't come after me.
After what felt like an hour, I was getting tired of standing and was about to sit down until the Fatisense moved its head towards me.
I thought it had figured out where I was and was about to attack me right there but then it motioned its head to another direction and ran towards there.
To make sure the Fatisense and gone away, I picked up a rock and threw it just a few meters ahead of me. Sure enough, it was gone.
Whew. It's finally gone. But I wonder what it is after right now? You know, I'm just a bit curious. Maybe I should check it out. I mean, it's better than walking around aimlessly, right?
I ran towards the direction where the Fatisense had headed off. About a few minutes, I heard the sound of growling and grunting.
As I got closer, the growling and grunting turned into ferocious roars. One of them sounded just like how a Fatisense would sound, a loud booming roar similar to a lion. The other however sounded way different. It was distorted, deep, and hollow. It almost sounded like a demon.
Eventually getting closer, I could see two figures fighting. One of them was the Fatisense and the other looked weird. It looked like a large beastly humanoid, with large wings. Now that I think of it, those wings look familiar…
Then I heard a humming noise and when the wings started to glow violet, I immediately knew what that beastly humanoid was.
It was Seiya, or that's what I thought.
Turns out it was just Seiya's doppelganger. But the aura it gave off almost made me think it was him.
Its appearance was really distinct. It almost represented a dragon. It had pitch-black scales all over its body and the parts which weren't covered were glowing incandescent amethyst purple. It had horns spiking from its head, two giant pairs of wings, and a large purple glowing symbol on its chest. The symbol was similar to that of a pair of broken angel wings. What irritated me the most was that one side looked more torn than the other, and that's very annoying.
Anyway, back to the fight.
The Fatisense was larger in appearance and was overwhelming the doppelganger in the first few seconds, but then the doppelganger fought back. With the boost of its powerful wings, it easily had enough force to overpower the Fatisense.
The Fatisense began sliding back. Then the doppelganger started walking as if the Fatisense wasn't even there.
It took a step, then another. It kept walking until the Fatisense stumbled onto its back. Then the doppelganger let go and pinned the Fatisense down with its foot. The Fatisense sent its spike towards the doppelganger but they just phased through. The doppelganger then looked at its fist and it started to glow.
When I saw its hand glow, I immediately knew to back away. I got my wings out and flew into the air quickly. Then I heard a giant explosion behind me.
BOOOOOOOOOM!!!
I turned around and there was a massive crater in the ground. Fire and lightning was everywhere and I think I smelt bacon.
That is… very weird. Are Fatisense made of pork? Damn it, now I'm interested in how they taste. I wonder what Seiya could make out of them.
Well, I probably won't be getting a taste if Seiya is in his current state. I need to find him quickly.
And I think I know how...
A figure flew into the air and headed off. That was his doppelganger just now, I just need to follow him. Cause if I'm guessing correctly, his doppelganger is made of his own energy so he needs to provide it with mana now and then.
This is perfect. I just need to follow it and it'll eventually lead me to Seiya. I hit the jackpot.
***
Eventually I stopped in front of a large mountain. I had run out of energy to fly any higher and I'm just hanging out in a tree. Glad that there was at least a small percentage of forestation left.
Earlier, I saw his doppelganger fly all the way to the top of the mountain. Jeez, Seiya, couldn't you have picked a lower spot to perch on? Just got to be on the top huh?
Well whatever, I'm tired. I think I'll just take a quick nap before I mess with Seiya. From what I can tell, he's just sending his doppelganger to take out anything it encounters. I just hope it doesn't spot me in this tree.
Now then, time to hit the hay…
