Ryu's POV

"Who the hell is talking?" I asked

Everyone looked at me but the queen seemed surprised.

"I think that the Thunderbird is finally awake." she said

"She can think unlike you." said the voice

"Wait you're in my head." I said to the voice

"Obviously, I'm in you." replied the voice

"Hey get out then, how the hell did you even get in me in the first place?" I asked

"I can't leave your body until I'm fully healed." replied the voice

"You're talking to him now?" asked Kishimoto

"Yea I am." I replied

I looked at my hands in confusion.

"So only I can hear you?" I said

"Yes." replied the voice

"Okay, what should I call you?" I asked

"Thunderbird? What else? Humans lack such sense." said Thunderbird

"Hey if you had something in you talking you'll be just as confused as me." I said, "Look besides all that my biggest question is how the hell did you get in me. I mean when did you transfer inside of me?"

"When you were born." replied Thunderbird

"Okay so you have been with me since birth." I said, "So you must know what's going on."

"No, I've been asleep till now." he replied

I sighed and walked down the hallway.

"Okay then explain this to me, why the hell did you pick me?" I asked

"Because I chose you." he replied

"Yea but why me?"

"I chose you because I knew you were the only one who could stop the Phoenix." he said

"Yea I can't stop the Phoenix because he's already inside of a goddess." I replied

"I can sense that he's close." said the Thunderbird

"Close?" I asked

I looked around but I didn't see Demon anywhere.

"Your majesty, I think it'll be better if you leave right now." I said

"Why?" she asked

"She's here." I replied

"Behind you." said Thunderbird

I snapped around and I was launched backwards onto a wall. Demon placed her hand against my chest and started extracting Thunderbird out of me. I screamed in pain as I saw some white light emit from my chest and some kind of ghost aurora come out.

"All I need is him, don't worry you won't die." she said

I looked at Kishimoto and Lydia but they weren't moving at all, not even their facial expressions.

'Did she freeze time.'

I tried to move but I couldn't as I continued to scream as she began to pull her hand away, pulling out Thunderbird's spirit, I could see Thunderbird struggling to fight back.

"Almost there." she said

"Stop it!" I yelled

I gathered all my strength and began to fight against whatever force was preventing me from moving and punched Demon's face and she stumbled back. The time unfroze and Lydia, Kishimoto and the queen were moving and she called in her knights.

I collapsed onto my knees and started vomiting blood all over the floor. Demon then kicked me thru the wall and I crashed through multiple walls after that. Eventually I flew out of the castle, through some more buildings and out of the floating city. I crashed onto the ground creating a huge ditch and Demon punched my chest harder and I started coughing blood.

"Get out of there, if I'm extracted out of you you'll be dead." said Thunderbird

I tried getting up but Demon grabbed my leg and threw me into the air. I flew over so many terrains like the desert, snowy place, forests until I crashed into a jungle.

My armor was broken and I was covered with my own blood and some dirt. I tried getting up but Demon landed right in front of me and grabbed my hair and started dragging me.

"You got a lot more bratty." she growled

I electrocuted her but she didn't react at all, rather she just punched my chest into the ground, destroying the trees around us making the jungle turn into a desert.

"Ryu get out!" yelled Thunderbird, "Not for my sake but for yours!"

If I tried to move any part of my body pain just took over, forcing me to stay still. Demon placed her foot against my neck and slowly began crushing my windpipe.

"What should I do with him? We only need the Thunderbird." she said

I assumed she was talking to the Phoenix.

"Ryu I'm lending you some of my power, there aren't any civilians around so blast your way out." said Thunderbird

I suddenly felt a wave of energy flood into me so I gathered up all of my augmentation but Demon stabbed her sword into my stomach.

"Don't think about escaping." she said

She used her other leg and shoved the sword deeper into my stomach.

"Ryu!" yelled Thunderbird

I was crying as the blade's guard hit my stomach forcing me to stay still. She then replaced her foot with her shin as she bent down towards me.

"I tried keeping you alive, but I guess I no longer can do that." she said

"Stop please, there are innocent fucking people alive." I groaned as blood came out of my mouth

Demon looked at me and placed her hand against my chest.

"No one's innocent." she said

She began extracting Thunderbird out of me again and I screamed in pain but I couldn't move at all.

"I'll see you in hell and you'll be nothing but my slave." she said

I saw Thunderbird being extracted out but then flames erupted from her arm taking the form of a bird and it grabbed the Thunderbird and began to pull as well.

"Stop no please stop I'm sorry!" I yelled

"Sorry for what?" she asked

"Stop it!"

I felt my chest throb but I felt another wave of energy and without hesitation I screamed and an explosion erupted from my body, a whole circle of lighting bolts grew bigger as it spread out. The explosion was like a radioactive wave, that turned everything it touched into dust and it kept growing bigger, expanding its diameter even further.

Demon was blown away but she was able to maintain her ground a bit and she smiled once the explosion blew past her. She got up and brushed off the dirt and sand that was covering her attire. I quickly pulled out the sword from my stomach but then the wound healed, as if there was nothing there.

"See why I want power!" yelled Demon

I got up and stumbled back as I tried to run away from her.

"This is why!" she yelled

"Ryu, run I can't give you anymore energy because I'm drained from fighting back as well." said Thunderbird

"Where do you think you're running?" she asked

She ran in front of me and smiled.

"You know you can't run from me." she said

"I'm not running." I said

Demon's smile disappeared and she raised an eyebrow.

"I'm stalling time." I said as I looked up and smiled

A wave of water crashed onto us and it swept both of us away, but then I crashed and fell onto the floor. I looked around and I was inside the crashing water but I was able to breathe, it was like a cage of air in the water.

"What the hell?" I questioned

But then Lydia came through and landed right next to me.

"Ryu are you okay?" she asked

"I'm fine but how are you doing this?" I asked

"I'm able to force oxygen into water, so I'm forcing water out of this area allowing us to breathe and talk." she said

I nodded and rubbed my chest.

"We need to leave so that I could heal you." said Thunderbird

"Let's get out of here." I said

But then I saw something dark in the water.

"It's a sea monster." said Thunderbird

I placed my hand on the water and electrocuted the sea monster. I could hear it's screams from here as it was burning to death but then something grabs my ankles and drags me into the ground. Lydia also experiences the same thing and Demon bursts out of the ground and lands in between us.

"Nice try." said Demon

Then Lydia forced the water to collapse on us, drowning me and Demon but Lydia formed the same air bubble thing around my head allowing me to breathe.

"I don't need air to breathe Lydia." said Demon

'Damn I forgot about that.'

But then Lydia completely froze the water, catching me by surprise.

"Now's your chance to get out." said Thunderbird

"No offense, why are you useless?" I asked

"Cause I'm still healing from my wounds." said Thunderbird

"What the fuck, you need 18 years to heal?" I asked

"I'll explain everything later." he replied

I blasted my way out and Lydia was already out on top of the ice waiting for me.

"Let's go!" she yelled

But then the ice underneath me began to melt and I fell straight into the hole. But Lydia jumped and grabbed my hand but she was blown far away.

"Lydia!" I yelled

I fell into the hole and crashed onto the icy floor.

"Thunderbird I hope you have some powers left." I groaned

"I don't if I use my powers over my limit then I'll die." said Thunderbird

I tried getting up but Demon came out and sat on top of me and began pounding my face, over and over again until I nearly blacked out.

"You could have made my job so much easier, yet you continue to fight." she growled

"Ryu focus!" yelled Thunderbird

I tried waking up but Demon kept pounding my face. After about 8 more punches she stopped and my left eye was bruised and I couldn't see through that eye.

"Now stay still." she growled

But then I grabbed her arm and looked at her.

"Stop, please..." I whispered

But Demon smiled and in a blink of an eye, she ripped my arm off entirely, blood splattered all over the ice around us.

I gasped in pain but I was mostly numb so it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. She tossed my arm away and looked at me.

"Ryu!" yelled Thunderbird

"You're funny." she laughed

She placed her hand against my chest but she looked at me and smiled.

"Don't worry, you won't be tortured in hell." she said

But before she began extracting Thunderbird out of me, an ice spike came out of the ice wall around us but Demon destroyed all of them.

"Ryu!" I heard Lydia's voice

I looked up and saw Lydia at the edge of the hole, I tried reaching my other arm towards her but Demon grabbed my arm, but before she could do anything the ice around us turned into water.

I began drowning in the water but Lydia came and hugged me and jumped out of the water. She landed and now she was walking on water but then my face began to heal and my arm grew back.

"That's cool." I said

We quickly entered hyper space and we were now back on the MVA orbital station, not the main one but a secondary outpost.

"Okay now Thunderbird, talk." I said

"The Phoenix wounded my insides, especially my heart." he said

"Is there anything I could do to help?" I asked

"If you can spiritually come here, then that'll heal me right away." he replied

"But that's not possible for me." I sighed

Kishimoto ran towards us and nodded at us once he saw that we were safe.

"Look I don't know if I can stand a chance against her." I said

"You don't, you'll need help." replied Lydia

"Fuck, Demon why do you have to do this?" I mumbled to myself

"Is she your friend?" asked Thunderbird

"Yes, a lover as well." I replied

Thunderbird stayed quiet and I sighed as I looked out the window.

"Thunderbird, give me your honest opinion on this." I said

I leaned against the window frame and sighed.

"Is there hope in stopping her?" I asked

Thunderbird stayed silent, causing me to fear.

"Yes, there is hope." he replied

"Are you lying to me?" I asked

"No, there's no point in lying in this kind of situation." replied Thunderbird

I sighed and nodded.

"Let's get to work then." I said
