There's something about the smell of the forest at midnight which can drive a wolf crazy. It stirs their souls, their hunting instincts, and has them lusting for blood. It is the same even for those who spend their days walking on two legs. The nights surrounding the full moon are the worst of them; forced to take their furred forms, werewolves spend the nights drunk on the moon's power.   But I was never one of them. An accident of birth, my class was both a blessing and a curse. It meant I wasn't forced to change as most of my packmates were. It also meant I wasn't hit by the moon's fever. There was no real reason for me to be in the forest with the rest of my pack, but I came nonetheless, because I found them beautiful."

Blood Moon 1- Suffering

Ten days. It had been ten days days since I had last seen Tsuki, and I was going frantic with worry. I was pretty sure I had scared the living hell out of my pack the after the first day, when I had gone into an absolute rage under the assumption that one of them had hurt him. Some of the wolves still refused to so much as raise their head in my presence. Even the humans at the college seemed to sense it, my boiling anger and fear radiating from me like an evil aura. 


I was so worried that I had even broken the rules and went to see Tsuki's father. It took me several days of visits to meet with him, as his work apparently kept him overnight many times. When I finally made contact, I got some vague excuse about Tsuki visiting relatives. Tsuki didn't have relatives. His father was insane if he thought I didn't know that; Tsuki told me everything, which was why I was so worried about his sudden disappearance.
