Chapter 7
She went back home after all the students went to their home. She decided to just walk back home again that day so she can enjoy the calming breeze.
"Oh hey honey. You're home already?" her mom shout from the living room as soon as she stepped her foot inside the house.
"Yes, mom." Maya answered half tired. She went to her room as fast as she can so she don't have to answer all her mom's question but unfortunately, her mom was fast enough to catch her pace.
"What's wrong honey? You know you can tell me everything." said Mrs. Green.
Maya just cried and went to her mom who was sitting on the sofa in front of the television.
"I just find out that Jenny was not that type of friend as what I thought. She just use me for her own good. Mom, I believe her with all of my heart but she loss my trust. I can't believe it mom." said Maya while hugging her mom.
"Well, honey. That is the purpose we finding new person in our life. It can make us stronger. And you not freaking out like some girl is great enough. You are strong, Maya. You know that every cloud has a silver lining. You just have to wait for your moment to come and you shine brighter than anyone else." said her mom to make her feel better at that time.
"Thank you, mom. You made my day a bit better." said Maya.
"No worries honey. Now go take a shower and have a dinner. Your dad will be home a bit earlier today. So we can have an early dinner together." said Mrs.Green again and Maya just followed her order just like the good daughter always do.
"Hey honey. How was school?" asked Mr.Green to her daughter when all of the family member was on the table.
"As usual dad. Nothing much." said Maya while eyeing her mother to not tell her dad about what happen to her at school.
"That's great to hear. Now I don't have to worry about you. You are grown up now. I fell like yesterday, I was holding you in my arm." said Mr.Green while filling his mouth with the delicious dinner that his wife cooked. Maya just can smile in pain after hearing his dad words. What if her dad know what had happened to her at school? Won't her dad be worried of her well being?
After the dinner time, Maya immediately went to her bedroom and changing her clothes to her comfy pajama with a cute heart shape on the t-shirt.
Before she went to sleep, her activity was scrolling through her Instagram or youtube or even Webnovel so she can read some awesome from creative authors. But she was shocked to see her 'bestfriend' messaging her.
"Hey bestie. I don't saw you the whole day today since Jake wants to meet you. How was it? What did he want?" asked Jenny.
"Nothing. He just ask me to bring him the jacket back tomorrow. I've got to go now. I want to sleep. School tomorrow. Bye." replied Maya and immediately turn off her phone and close her eyes to forget everything that happen to her that day. It might be the bad day for her but maybe there is the worst day in the future that she even don't know it herself.
The next morning, Maya went to the school just like usual but with a sorrow face. She did met with her bestfriend, Jenny, but she excuses herself saying that she need to use the washroom.
She spent a good 10 minutes in the washroom and she went to her class but on the way to her class, just a few feets away, someone blocking her way. It was the mighty bully, Jake.
"Hey, where are you going? Don't you remember our deal yesterday?" asked Jake.
"I am sorry but not today. I am not in a good mood." said Maya and continue to walk away but once again, she being stopped by a grip on her wrist.
"Why? Didn't we start yesterday? Or you really want me to remind you back?" asked Jake starring right into Maya's eyes.
"OKEY STOP. I TOLD YOU I DON'T HAVE A MOOD TO WASTE MY TIME WITH A STUPID LIKE GUY. LEAVE ME ALONE." shouted Maya to Jake and immediately walk away.
She didn't even mean anything except that she wants to be alone for the day. Her mind had been messed up with problems. One was her deal with Jake that she had to agree to. And the second one was Jenny. Like why would Jenny want to be in the group with some bad girls like Amanda and her minion? Doesn't Maya was enough to keep her company and listen to all Jenny problem or anything?
That's what make Maya wondering. Like did she ever did something that make Jenny far away from her? Like her words that make Jenny feel a bit heart broken?
Well if she wants to know all that, she have to hear it from Jenny herself, right? Because truth is always from the person who have to spill it out.
"Hey bestfriend? Is everything okay? You seems a bit tired and lifeless. Mind to tell me? You know I am your friend." said Jenny after she saw Maya sit beside her in the classroom.
"Can I know more about Amanda?" asked Maya and get a nodding Jenny in front of her.
"Sure. What do you want to know aboyt her?" asked Jenny not knowing what Maya had planned to know the truth.
"Everything." answered Maya simple.
"Well, your wish is my command. Let me tell you what I know about them the very first time I met them." said Jenny.
"The first time I met her, she was the good and kind student. You can say she is the angel in this school. But after a few months, if I am not mistaken, she started to change. She become the other person from her original self. She started to hang out with the other girls from her group, no following the school rules, and she even did not follow the teacher words. She become a rebellious person and that lead herself to become the school bully." said Jenny.
"Then, do you know why she became like that?" asked Maya curiousity fill her up.
"No one know about it. Even her friend don't even know what happen to her until she become like that. But she once have a bestfriend but she seems to forget her old bestfriend now." said Jenny with a sad face that made Maya questioning to herself why Jenny become sad all of the sudden.
"Uh-oh, the teacher is already here. Let's focus now." said Jenny while preparing her table with the textbook and some pens. Maya just follow all her action.
