Chapter-7 : Premiere

Time flew by and it was September* 2nd, the day of the premiere of E.T. The Universal Pictures through a grand premiere for E.T. Unlike the previous time, the E.T this time is a best selling book and had a lot if fan base. Top it off the Author of this book is not only the screen writer but also played a important role in the film which attracted a lot of people specially the children.

The premiere will held in 7 in the evening for special consideration of the children in the famous Chinese theater. A surprising number audience can be seen including a lot of kids. As celebrities stepped onto the red carpet, the click of the camera shutter became a piece of information. At the same time, fans cheered and reporters asked questions. , The clamor of the paparazzi, also disturbed one after another.

Putting down the camera in his hand, Drek Williams breathed a sigh of relief for the time being. He is a reporter for the entertainment edition of the Los Angeles Times and he is used to seeing all kinds of big scenes. if not for Universal pictures invitation, or the film is adaptation of a popular best seller book or the gimmick that the author of the book is the actor it is difficult for him to be dispatched in person.

"Drek, is Universal deliberately hyping?" his assistant asked at this time,

"A 7 year old is both the screen writer and the actor of movie? Is this possible, I don't even believe a kid can writer a book much less a screen play, a unless he is alien."

"Don't you think Universal is a fool. Even they will not willfully fool audience unless they are crazy. So, it must be fact. "

"Hey, They are here, it should be them!" some paparazzi shouted.

A family of three are walking on the red carpet. A man wearing a black suit while the lady is wearing a silky black&white gown and the boy in middle wearing a three piece black suit.

Richard have faced many red carpets last life but no like a main character which is making excited and nervous. despite his nervousness and excitement in his heart, he managed to calm down and finally started smiling while walking the red carpet.

"Mr Richard Jackson, this should be your first book turned to a film. How do you feel.?"

"Mr Richard Jackson it should be your first time acting, can you tell us some of your feelings?"

When they came to the reporter area, various questions came over, but as previously planned they didn't mean to answer, and ignored those shouting, they walked directly to the front of the theater.

"Hey Steven, how are you" Richard took the initiative to socialize seeing Steven Spielberg in front.

"Hey Richard... How do you feel." replied Steven smiling.

"Well to tell the truth, I don't know what I feel right now. But I can say that its definitely better than making it." answered Richard mischievously well nodding his head as if he is making a point.

The men in front of Richard laughed out load hearing him.

"Oh Richard don't ever change. By the way this is Francis Coppola, Martin Scorsese and George Lucas."

"Hello everyone. its nice to meet you all. But look at the time, show is about to start, so lets get going then." said Richard looking at his watch.

Getting confirmation from everyone went in took their respective seats. The light turned off and he screen started to lit up. the logos of Amblin and Universal came one after another and the movie started.

One starry night in suburban California, a group of alien botanists' trip to Earth is interrupted by a shady team of federal agents. In their hurry to vacate, the aliens accidentally leave one of their own behind, a little alien called E.T.

Later, a boy named Elliott hears strange noises in his backyard and almost literally stumbles across E.T. Naturally, he's stoked. The problem is, nobody believes him—not his older brother, Michael; not his younger sister, Gertie; not his mother, Mary, who's raising Elliott and his siblings on her own.

Elliott tries to lure E.T. back to his house using Reese's Pieces...and it works.

He hides E.T. in his closet, and then introduces him to Michael and Gertie. Elliott swears both to secrecy. Meanwhile, the menacing federal agents are still hot on E.T.'s interplanetary trail

During this moment many audience laughed due to those weird noises.

As the kids get to know E.T., they discover that he has special powers such as he can make items like balls and bikes levitate, and he also resurrected some dead geraniums. He also seems to share a special bond with Elliott, and Elliott feels it, too.

In fact, Elliott feels everything E.T. feels.

Gertie teaches E.T. to speak, and he tells her and Elliott that he wants to call home. He hasn't been feeling so well lately and needs to return to his home planet. Elliott and Michael help him gather parts to build a communicator. The sinister federal agents get closer, E.T. gets sicker, and when Elliott cuts his finger, E.T. quickly mends it with his healing touch.

On Halloween, Elliott and Michael sneak E.T. into the forest so he can call home. The next morning, Elliott wakes up alone and sick.

E.T. is gone.

Michael later finds E.T. severely weak and lying face down in a creek bed. Michael brings him home, and E.T. is finally introduced to Mom...just before the federal agents and their team of doctors storm the house.

The doctors set up shop and run a battery of tests on E.T. As he gets sicker, Elliott gets better.

E.T. crashes.

At that many held their breath.

But when Elliott tells E.T. he loves him, E.T. awakens...

This time many shed their tears.

the plan to return E.T. to his home planet is back on.

Elliott, Michael, and Michael's three friends race E.T. back to the woods on their bikes, arriving just in time to meet the aliens' spaceship. After heartfelt goodbyes all around, E.T. returns to the ship and it departs, leaving a rainbow across the sky.

When the screen turn black all the audience stood up clapped hard. They clapped, made noise talked excitedly all in all the movie was well received. The entire film crew sigh in relief, all is left is the box office performance.
