Ben in Misery

''Leader, I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to kill him.'' Jajah cried out, hugging Jax's foot to beg for mercy. After a moment, she furiously turned to look at Ben as she went on, ''Ben, why are you so weak?! How could you die so easily? How dare you bring me an unforgivable sin and irresistible guilt?!''

"..." Jax was lost for words. He didn't know whether to hit Jajah on her head or not. Everything that had just happened was just an accident. But that accident was also due to their carelessness.

And that's definitely their fault.

If it was before, be would definitely berate Jajah endlessly. Causing their friend to die was definitely a sin that needed to be punished. And it would definitely cause strife among them if left unattended.

However, that wasn't the case now. Even if Ben was now dead, he still had some hopes left.

He still could be saved!

After all, they still had their Master. A transcendent being that opposed all common sense. With his holy hand, Ben could be revived as many times as he wanted to die.

''Jajah, take responsibility. Bring that corpse to the tree cave and put that thing inside a coffin. We'll wait for Master and let him decide what to do next with him ,'' Jax ordered Jajah nonchalantly.

''Pardon?'' One question mark floated over Jajah's head. But later, she understood their Leader's intention. She quickly stood up straight as she added with a lively tone, ''Right away, Leader! I will put this fragile thing inside a coffin!''

Jajah was just about to make a move when suddenly...

''Ugh... I'm. Not. Dead. Yet... You bastards!''

A hoarse voice sounded. Jajah and Jax traced back that voice, only to see Ben's body twitching.

''Kyaaaahhhhh!!! The dead is trying to rise!'' Jajah's piercing scream immediately echoed when she saw Ben trying to move. She hid behind Jax as she went on, ''Leader, what should I do? Should I put a big rock on top of him so he won't rise?''

"..." Jax forced out a smile, but the corners of his lips kept twitching. This girl was really working hard to get on his nerves!

''Jajah, come in front of me,'' Jax ordered patiently as he tried to force out a smile.

''Why?'' Jajah asked. Still, she obeyed his order and really went in front of Jax.

Thud!

To her surprise, Jax suddenly hit her head, leaving her no choice but to hold the place where he hit her. She wanted to complain, but Jax had already spoken.

''Stop making things more annoying, alright?'' Jax warned. His smile was still forced, telling the other party that if he did anything more funny than what had already become, then she would receive another hit.

Jajah could only bow her head down crying. She walked to the side and didn't try to speak anymore.

Now that he dealt with Jajah, Jax shifted his gaze back at Ben. He could see his body still twitching.

''Can you get up, Ben?'' Jax asked. To think this guy was still alive. It seemed like he was still a tough nut. How did he survive that, anyway?

''@#&+£-#++''But only a hoarse voice responded to him. It seemed like Ben was having a hard time speaking.

Jax couldn't help but frown. He took the initiative to help him as he gently held him. He pulled him sit up and supported his upper body with his arm.

''You okay, Ben?'' Jax asked. But seeing his pale face now, Jax could tell that he wouldn't be able to answer.

''Le-leader...'' To Jax's surprise, Ben suddenly spoke. Although he was having a hard time, he forced out a smile as he continued, ''You... are... a trai...tor.''

"..." Suddenly, Jax fell speechless as his expression went dark. Obviously, he knew what Ben was talking about. Did he still resent him for leaving him behind earlier?

''What's the huge commotion? Why is Ben like that?''

Suddenly, a voice of a young lady sounded. Jax turned around and there he saw Mecaella and Leovicente walking unhurriedly in their direction.

''Ah, that...'' But Jax didn't know how to reply to her. He could only scratch the back of his head and let out a wry smile.

''Meca!'' So, instead of Jax, the one who responded fast was Jajah. She rushed to her and greeted her with a hug. ''Jax, that stupid Leader, hit my head hard when I didn't even kill Ben.'' She sobbed as if she was a child who was trying to complain to her mother.

''Alright, alright, he must have a reason why he did that.'' Mecaella only smiled in response as she patted Jajah's back a few times. ''In any case, you guys should enter. Master is waiting for all of you now.''

''Master has already returned?'' Jajah repeated. Jax and Ben also had the same question in their mind. When did he come back?

''Yes,'' Mecaella nodded in response.

''...'' the three of them traded a glance before they finally sighed. Then Jax replied, ''Alright, let's go.''

He helped Ben up as he shifted his gaze at Jajah and said, ''Jajah, you carry Ben. You're the one who put him in that miserable state, so you must take responsibility.''

''Ugh, but I am...'' Jajah was about to complain and refute that she was a girl when Jax cut in.

''Stop making excuses. Or are you trying to disobey me once again?'' Jax stared at her with a stern look.

''Ugh...'' Jajah was helpless. In the end, she complied and heeded his command.

Just like that, Jajah carried Ben in her arms as if he were a princess that she saved from danger. As dark as her expression could get, she had no choice but to do that.

Meanwhile, Ben suddenly passed out for no reason at all. He must have been too happy when Jajah carried him like a princess.

In any case, the five of them went back to the tree cave. Their Master was already waiting there, sitting on a certain stone platform.

''You little brats surely are wild. Who told you to act so rampantly here?'' But Heretic Saint right now was all serious. He seemed unhappy seeing those brats running wildly in the short moments he was gone. He narrowed his eyes before he continued coldly, ''You brats are ready to die, right?''

''Eeikk...'' Jajah's expression went exceedingly pale. If there was currently a person in the world she feared the most, then that would be her Master.

So, now that he was angry, Jajah naturally felt terrified too. Who knew if this Master of hers would really kill her on a whim?

That was something she definitely didn't want to happen.

''Please forgive me, Master! I swear, I will never kill this fragile thing ever again!'' Jajah cried out. She really hoped to appease her Master's anger with that.

Meanwhile, Ben who had just regained his senses was about to pass out again in sheer anger when he heard Jajah. How dare she look down on her so much? He wasn't that fragile to be beaten up twice by the same person.

In the end, Ben gritted his teeth. He needed to do at least that if he wanted to remain conscious.

If only he wasn't in such a pathetic state, then he would have hit Jajah already. Seriously, how many times did she want to mock and look down on him?

This was really making him mad!
