The News for the King

Cassandra and her party went back home earlier than expected. After all, they had been sent back home by that person who had beaten them into a pulp.

When they all finally lost their mana and strength, that person carried them with his mana control, something that only a Transcendent Being could do. He then got on the mythical beast, Tikbalang, as he used it as a means of transportation and ordered it to run fast.

To their shock, the Tikbalang really ran fast as they reached their destination in a mere several minutes. To think that a Tikbalang was capable of doing something like that. They really underestimated that mythical beast.

But that wasn't what was concerning about it.

But that person who caught it and commanded it like it was his pet.

That person was definitely a monster.

His strength far surpassed Cassandra's imagination. She never expected that there would come a time in her life when someone would show her such a huge gap in strength.

She thought that she was already strong after having the chance to wield the power of time. And even if there were someone in the entire continent who could defeat her, at least the other party would be injured by her too.

But that monster merely treated them like children.

Even when the three of them, the ones who wielded the three arch elements, combined their strengths and used everything at their disposal, they still lost miserably against that monster. They couldn't even leave him a single scratch on his body nor were they able to tear his clothes.

He defeated them without actually getting serious at all.

Just what would happen to them if that person intended to kill them?

Thinking about the possible outcome, Cassandra couldn't help but shiver. Her face went pale and she began to release cold sweats.

They shouldn't have touched those kids and actually killed them. Just why on earth were they so stupid? How could they offend such a mysterious person?

She couldn't help but recall the words of that monster...

''I don't care whether you spoiled brats would play around here and there. But how dare you touch my disciples? It seems to me that you brats want to die.'' That person spoke to them with a smile still appearing on his face. But that smile alone was more than enough to cause a chill to the three of them.

''I didn't know that they were your disciples. If we knew that...'' Cassandra desperately wished to explain herself for them to survive that calamity. But amidst her words, the other party already interrupted.

''Enough.'' He said with a nonchalant smile. ''Don't worry, I won't kill you all.'' He took a moment of pause before he continued, ''Just don't die within these five years. After all, my disciples will come after you sooner or later and exact their revenge.''

''They're still alive? But we have already...'' Cassandra replied, her tone confused and doubting.

''I resurrected them. In any case, remember not to die. If you do, I will make sure to come after you, revive you ten thousand times, and kill you myself with all the ways I know ten thousand times too.'' He replied with a cold smile. ''So, just don't die and wait for them in the World Championship, understood?''

World Championship? No, that wasn't the main point here.

For him to bring the dead back to life, Cassandra and the other two got some idea of how much of a monster he was. He must be a Transcendent Being who had gone beyond the realm of humans and achieved divinity.

Such a person actually existed in the world? Just who in the world was he?

''Cassandra! Cassandra! Hey, why are you spacing out?''

''Ah,'' The King's indignant voice pulled Cassandra back to her senses. She quickly got herself together as she replied right away, ''I'm sorry, Your Majesty, I was just thinking about something else.''

''Sigh, don't let this failure destroy your confidence. I already expected this much,'' The King sighed as he shook his head slowly and continued in a calmer tone, ''I know that it's almost impossible to find the Tikbalang, much less, catch it. So, this first failure of you and your party is still forgivable.''

For his daughter's mind to sway like that after just a single failure, she sure had a weak mental fortitude. He didn't want her to remain like that.

''But we found the Tikbalang, Father, Your Majesty,'' Cassandra replied.

''WHAT?'' The King almost jumped up from his throne after hearing the news. ''Then why are you bastards...'' He couldn't retain his anger as he went on, ''Don't tell me, the reason why you useless bastards are in such a pathetic state was that you got beaten up by a mere beast?''

''It's not like that, father. It's not the Tikbalang that beat us up.'' Cassandra replied as she raised her head to look at her father and ease his anger somehow.

''Huh? Then who?!'' The King replied, but this time, his anger only seemed to level up. How could they let someone else defeat them when the three of them wielded the three strongest elements?

''Father, the Tikbalang has already been caught by someone. And that person is the one who beat us up one-sidedly.'' Cassandra replied as she bowed her head down again. She was too ashamed to meet her father in the eyes when she was reporting about her defeat.

''What did you just say?!'' The King finally lost it. He stood up from his throne as the ground beneath his feet cracked. He finally unleashed a terrifying murderous aura as he continued, ''How dare you let someone else catch the Tikbalang. Do you know how grave the sin you have committed?''

''Father, please calm your anger and listen to me first.'' Cassandra didn't wait for the King's response as she added right away, ''If the Guardian Lord fight the three of us together, how confident you are that he will win against us?''

Cassandra said it as she implied that the Guardian Lord, the personal guard of the King as well as the strongest person in the Maharlika Kingdom, wouldn't be able to defeat the three of them if they fought him together.

Even if he could, at least they would be able to take away an arm or two from him.

With that, Cassandra replied, ''Just to let you know, Father, that monster only toyed with our combine strengths ''

''What?'' The King seemed to calm down a bit. But his expression remained cold as he asked with the same coldness, ''Are you sure that the three of you didn't get arrogant and careless?''

''Father, please believe in me and don't take this lightly,'' Cassandra replied as she added, ''We really did everything we could to fight him. But we still got defeated miserably in the end.'' There was a moment of pause before she continued, ''I'm sorry Father. We are willing to accept any punishment.''

"..." This time, the King finally fell silent. It seemed like they really met an annoying person this time.

''Tch, it can't be helped then. Go back to the place where you found the Tikbalang. Bring three of the Royal Guards as well as the Archknights with you.'' The King decided. This time, they would definitely catch the mythical beast. ''We can't miss it this time. Or else, 'that person' will definitely destroy our entire kingdom.''

With the help of the Royal Guards and the First Knights Order of the Maharlika Kingdom, the Archknights, whoever that person might be would definitely suffer a miserable defeat.

To Cassandra's horror, his father the King was really persistent. She immediately stood up and displayed her disagreement.

Then she said, ''Father, there's something that that person has told us to inform you.''

''What's that? For you to act like this, it must be something urgent,'' The King narrowed his eyes as he replied.

''That person said...'' Cassandra replied as she tried to recall the last words of that monster before he left them. After a moment of pause, she continued, ''Tell your King to tell Barbara, that nasty barbaric bitch, not to come after the Tikbalang anymore. That cute pet is now under my collection.''

''If she wants it, then come look for me and take it in person.'' There was a moment of pause before she continued, ''That is if she can.''
