Dismas pulled the trigger of his gun firing off a shot into the body of the resurrected priestess before advancing swiftly delivering a swift strike with his dagger. The priestess lifted her hand causing trails of blood to form a thin blade in her hand blocking Dismas'. "You've always been quick with a blade and gun haven't you Dismas?" Dismas ignored her trying to look for whatever opening he could. "So quick that you may not even realize who you're attacking and what was that talk about avenging anyone. You of all people should know that once you do something there's no going back, there is no redemption."
She slashed Dismas across the chest twice leaving behind these lingering trails of blood that ignited in these red flames forcibly cauterizing any wounds she left behind. Dismas grit his teeth fighting through the pain firing the second shot in his pistol toward the head of the priestess piercing the rusted headdress sending her body to the ground for the last time. The few people who hadn't passed out during the initial bloodletting watch as Dismas emptied the last shot in his pistol into the chest of the priestess before taking another drink and running out of the building.
When the fresh blood hit my tongue I felt a wave of energy flood throughout my body as I lept at the creature, claws out and fangs bared. The beast wasted no time bringing raking its sharp claws down my back as I sunk my fangs into an armorless piece of flesh. It soon became a struggle to see who would back down first as I continued to dig into its now wounded neck. I finally had to let go when the adrenaline began to wear off and the pain in my back became too much to bear.
< If Reynauld can't manage to crack plating we always have the opening you made when you tore out its eye. It is a direct shot to this thing the brain will put it down for good if you can reach it. I think you have the right idea about going for the neck which might cause this thing to slow down from extreme blood loss. But we need to do this now before we pass out. >
She was right, I could feel my movements begin to slow considerably and I could feel the wound in my leg begin to open up again. "Reynauld I need you to take out the arms so I can get a clean shot at the head!" I dropped low to the ground narrowly avoiding a claw swipe from the creature as I scrambled to regain my footing. Reynauld dove forward using his momentum to bring down the blade on the creature's arm, cleaving off the left arm of the creature causing another bestial roar of pain to resonate throughout the surrounding area as it slammed the ground with its remaining arm.
"This might be the last chance Ms. it would be best if you end this thing now!" Reynauld called out stabbing his blade into the beast's other massive arm, pinning it to the ground while the thing snapped its teeth at him in a blind fury. I focused the last bit of energy I had into my arm and uninjured leg launching myself forward stabbing my hand into the creature's empty eye socket piercing its brain putting the beast down for good.
I pulled my am out and let my tired body fall only to be caught by Reynauld. Audrey who had been watching for some time let out a chuckle before handing Reynauld a small vial. "You did good Rose, this should help you back on your feet." Reynauld emptied the vials contents into my mouth and I could feel my body begin to relax as my wounds began to close. I managed to find the strength to stand up again but my body was killing me. "Were you able to locate any survivors in any of the buildings Audrey?"
Audrey looked back at the collapsed buildings but there was no sign of the flesh creature that attacked her, not even the tendrils she cut off the thing with her daggers. "There were no 'people' but I think we need to come back when Rose gets better."
