When I started exploring Niflheim, all I could do was wander around without any goal, and hope to find something at the end.
Niflheim was an endless land of bitter frost and dense toxic fog, filled with only icebergs and the smell of death, that I could even feel the aura of death even though I am not a Valkyrie.
Because I could only see for a few meters, I could only walk without any clear direction, even when using magic to enhance my eyesight, I could only increase my field of vision a little bit.
I tried to determine the four directions in this world by magic, but Niflheim did not contain organized magnetic fields, why would anyone have expected this? I did, but I couldn't help but try.
I kept walking continuously even when I did not find anything, I did not want my blood circulation to stop because I stopped moving, and I did not find anything, no caves, no food, not even water, I tried to melt the ice by the fire magic, but It almost froze again instantly, so I could just continue to use my divine energy in order to preserve my body.
This went on for some time before I decided to just choose another random direction, follow my six sense, and keep walking with it.
When I did this, I finally managed to get out of the uninhabited area and started to meet some other creatures, like Hell-walkers and undead, and evil spirits, there were countless of these creatures, frost giants, Trolls, humans, animals and even an Asgardians.
Most of these creatures were so wild, after staying in niflheim for so long, they had turned into nothing more than monsters roaming around.
Fortunately, I wasn't attacked in large numbers or by higher level monsters, so getting rid of small groups was relatively easy.
When killing the undead, I got a source of food, rotten flesh. I know that this is disgusting and I would not have thought of it in other circumstances, but looking at my current location, I could not help but accept it.
Although I could not cook it completely, I was able to heat it enough to eliminate most bacteria and diseases, and I my body is also very resistant, but it is better to check my body if I can get out of Niflheim one day.
As for the water, I used a skeleton skull as a pot and put the ice in it and kept using fire magic on it until it started to evaporate, and I drank it hot before it started to freeze again.
I went on this diet for several days before I started feeling like I was being called somewhere, no, it was the same as it felt when I put on Fafnir's armor, just without increasing my strength.
Fafnir's inner blood interacts with something in Niflheim, I think.
Because I had nothing better to do, I followed the place that this feeling directs me to, hoping that I will find something other than ice and undead savages.
The place I got to was a very large cave in a mountain made up of frost and ice, I noticed that even ghosts, spirits and the undead avoided this place, I already had an idea of who was here, but I decided to enter anyway.
Inside, the fog wasn't very dense and I could see and breathe a little better, what I considered comfort after spending long days in the monstrous outside world, maybe I could finally sleep ...
"That…" I said subconsciously when I saw what appeared to be a two-meter-tall dwarf, but he wasn't as muscular as other dwarves, he wore brown leather clothes and had a small forge hammer in his hand.
However, his skin was a little bit rotten and blue, but unlike other monsters, I could see the intelligence in his eyes, which meant that he had not gone mad like others.
Spirits can get corpses if they can absorb some otherworldly energy, that's why there are Hell-walkers, zombies, skeletons, and undead bodies here as well as spirits and ghosts.
"Fafnir ..." I said, subconsciously, when I realized the identity of this person, although he was not a dragon now, but I am sure that he was the evil dragon that I killed many years ago.
Fafnir stared at me silently for a moment before speaking, "I remember you too, you are the one who killed me, right?"
"Yes," I simply told him, since he remembered me there would be no point in denying the matter or trying to manipulate it, I thought he had suffered enough.
"You're not dead ... What are you doing here?"
"Nothing, the Bifrost Bridge broke down and I was sent to this place by mistake. I will return to Asgard as soon as possible," I said while avoiding giving him a correct answer.
"huh!" Fafnir laughed as he sat on a rock, "Forget it, there is no escape from Niflheim, not for the dead, and of course not for the living."
I looked at him at length and couldn't help but admit that he was true, no one had escaped Niflheim to the living world before, there was simply no way out, if there was a Bifrost Bridge crossing here, I don't know where it is, just as this world is like a maze.
"However, going to Heilheim is not very impossible," said Fafnir, as he looked at me with a meaningful look.
"I don't know where the Bridge of the Damned is." I told him the truth when I realized what he wanted.
"Never mind, I know where the bridge is, all you have to do is defeat Helson"
"No, I am not interested, it will not help me to go to Helheim in any way and it will just be a waste of time," I told him as I pondered a little.
"C'mon! _" Said Fafnir while standing up, "Helheim may not be a beautiful place, but it is much better than here! Do you really want to spend eternity in this place ?!"
