These Moments (Part 2)

Right next to them, a police vehicle smashes into a parked car. The sound was thunderous, and further the sound of the glass hitting the pavement was like the dumping of a bag of marbles. Two young men were in the front seat of the car. They were not police officers. As they both bail out of the car and run in the opposite direction from Nick and Violet, the sirens from other police cars gets closer.

Philly's finest speed past the crash site and down the road after the men who had ditched the now abandoned patrol vehicle. "She figures out how to get back to the car, fast." Violet says.

Nick's gears started turning, she couldn't mean steal the police car, could she? The next moment was her heading to it, Nick yelled out to her. "Put on your gloves!" Not, "No". Not "Stop." Not "Don't" but "Put on your gloves." As he did the same.

Eight blocks. Nine. Ten. Eleven. That's how far they got until Nick saw another police car. "They're going the opposite direction, but what if they circle back?" Nick postulates.

Violet agrees. They pull over. He still had his hand on her thigh. She felt it squeeze. "Ready?" He asks.

She is, but not for what he expected. They had parked on a side street. It was dark, with many trees. Her short black mini skirt was easy to raise and she removes her underwear, and puts them in Nick's mouth. "Be quiet." Nick was erect already having just watched her take off her panties. He unzips his fly and his member became exposed for her to ride.

As they go at it, she moans with pleasure. Violet came right away from all of the excitement. Nick could feel her juices trickle over his scrotum. He couldn't concentrate. The worry of being busted gets to him and he isn't able to come with her.

*WOOP WOOP!* The sound gets their attention. Violet is out the door instantly. Nick took her panties from his teeth and gave a quick wipe down to the seat, fearing her wetness could be traced back to them. Their masks and bandanas should have been enough to cover them if the car had a camera.

A cop grabs Nick's arm and spins him around, Nick moves with him and shoves the man in blue backwards. Violet was behind him. When she ducks, he falls over top of her and hits his head. They hear him yelling and know he had survived, so they flee on foot. When Violet looks behind them, she sees the cop is getting to his feet. "We should split up, I'll meet you at home."

"No, we should stick together." Nick yells out.

Both of them are in a full sprint, as they see the cop running at them, full tilt. "Two rabbits." She said, because she knew her short legs couldn't hold up to Nick's long strides any more.

Nick remembers the talk they had a few months ago about Native American wisdom. "If you chase two rabbits, you'll lose them both."

Nick kept running, he thought she was right behind him, but Violet had ducked down an alleyway, a block ago. He was running alone and the cop was keeping pace. Nick was sure glad he had been working on his stamina at the gym lately. He saw a street sign that points to him being only 3 blocks from the Bentley.

Nick darts down an alleyway that would bring him close enough to his car that he would be able to be out of sight by the time the cop cleared the corner to see the license plate. He digs deep into his reservoir of energy and pours on some more speed, knowing his finish line is close. He sees it and pulls out his keys, being careful not to drop them. Once he makes it to the car, Nick unlocks and enters the vehicle.

Just as he starts the engine, the cop comes around the corner. Reverse, then a lurch forward. That fast he was flying down the street, away from the cop, who only made out a green sedan driving from the scene.

Nick circles back around to find Violet, but she is just gone. Nick's heart sinks in his chest. He almost starts to cry, as tears well up. Nick fears he will never see her again, so he drives home, like she told him to do.
