The old Man

Waiting on the tree took hours for them to leave, I am going to the bar and hanging out with everyone. Walking toward the bar I notice it is still empty, when I step in the old man is reading a book.

"Welcome back, how was your day Roy?"

"Terrible, I got chased out of sewers and had to sit on a tree. When I woke up I was surrounded by idiots who were cutting apart some female demon, they didn't leave until recently."

Looking up from his book, the old man looked into my eyes with a piercing glare.

"Did you see what they did to her, or did you close your eyes."

"I watched, I didn't close my eyes and watched it all."

Sighing, the old man put down his book and motioned with his hand for me to take a seat. Sitting across the bar from me he poured a drink in a mug, and sat down facing me.

"Drink, it's on the house kid."

"Oh thanks"

Drinking the obviously not orange juice, but instead beer. I started to truly take in the sight I witnessed before, it was crazy to say the least.

"Did you enjoy what they did?"

"What no, it was crazy she tried fighting back but they just wouldn't stop and you can guess the rest."

"Yea, so do you know what type of demon she was?"

Thinking it over, I tried finding anything they said that explained her type.

"Oh there is one! They said she was a type that drinks blood!"

"Did they, well now that makes things interesting."

"What why, isn't it just a thing all demons do?"

"No, only the vampires do that. Did you notice how she was panicking the whole time, poor thing probably would have died in the field left alone in the sun for a few minutes."

Thinking it over, he was correct even when the men cut her apart I couldn't see her. She was being shielded from the sun by the men, they knew she would die from it so they kept her shielded.

"So what's so interesting old man?"

"Well that demon is still alive, and it will only be for this night. Come noon tommarow it will be locked in a well with no escape and die when the sun faces directly overhead."
