Chapter 67

In Stormhaven Madison was patrolling the city with Aleister at her side. She was waiting for the ideal moment to take his head, but so far they haven't had alone time since the bedroom. They were heading to ensure feeding protocols are being followed, and as they approached the square the gate alarm rang. All the nearby vampires looked at Aleister for direction.

"Don't stand there you idiots get moving!" Aleister demanded.

"Should we go?" Madison asked.

"No, we should stay here. This all seems pretty convenient considering most of our fighters are gone. Now you wanna draw me away from our food." Aleister replied.

"If you have something to say then be a man about it." Madison retorted.

The vampires nearby began watching cautiously. They were debating which side to jump in on if battle broke out. When they heard about Madison's family escaping many had their doubts about the alliance, but once they investigated Victoria was identified as the culprit. Madison assigned her a few guards and even warned Aleister she could be a threat.

Madison heard Victoria snuck away from her guards, and killed them on the spot as punishment. This bought her some trust back, but being attacked during Madison's plan to split forces was hard to ignore. The ferals began closing in slowly just in case. Madison saw this and began gathering her magic.

Regarding her defense nature, they determined Madison was guilty, and even some of her clan members were swarming around her. As they charged Madison became one with the wind dishing out massive area damage. Limbs went flying as they tried to escape the devasting storm and the blades of wind that followed. Most of the attacks seemed focused on Aleister, but he was dodging most of them. Any damage Aleister did take was healed rapidly.

After gaining power from Marcus his body has been going under rapid changes. Seeing her attacks have no effect made Madison push harder. The wind only grew stronger as it swirled violently around Aleister, and his armor was slowly chipping away.

A large gash went across Aleister's chest once it was exposed. With this, he became concerned and attempted to escape the winds. It was chasing him down fiercely, and none of the ferals could counter. One of the mystics had been gathering magic preparing to intervene.

"Everyone get clear!"

Once the other vampires were clear a mystic began forcefully containing the winds. The mystic had enough control to force it to a halt, and the storm was forced apart. Madison was forced back to her normal form, and everyone saw her body with numerous injuries slowly being healed. A few ferals swarmed in to finish Madison but were cut in half by powerful winds.

Madison swiped her hand a few more times reducing her enemies as much as possible. Aleister appeared behind her landing a heavy kick causing Madison's arm to shatter. The force of the blow was powerful enough to send her crashing through a few empty buildings.

Madison was trying to recover, and stand up through the rubble, but her body was feeling immense pain. She had broken pieces of wood, and glass lodged throughout her body. Madison calmed herself as they were forced out, and the wounds sealed.

'That much strength in one kick is unnatural. Even father couldn't strike that hard.'

"Send a few more to check the fighting at the gate, but don't leave the cattle alone. The rest of you drag that bitch back here," Aleister ordered while pointing out the guards.

A group of vampires rushed forward as a strong gust of wind picked up in their direction. The winds began slowing their advances and eventually grew strong enough to halt them in place. Madison was walking forward with destruction swirling around her. A few of the mystics were preparing to counter but were cut into a series of small chunks. The other vampires didn't even notice Madison sweeping past them.

With each attack, Madison unleashed death followed, but each one had less power than the last. Madison was riding on fumes trying to fight off so many alone. She could no longer form large attacks and was relying on two blades conjured from the wind.

With the attacks becoming sluggish one of the mystics managed to bind Madison. The chains were sapping any magic, and strength she had left. This made her swords dissipate as she collapsed face-first onto the road.

Madison was finally restrained, and the ferals swarmed in barraging her with kicks. Once they had their fill they dragged her towards Aleister by her hair. Madison was tossed in front of Aleister, and forced to kneel before him.

"You fought well. Now tell me who's outside causing trouble?" Aleister asked lifter her up by her hair.

"If you're so tough why don't you go check," Madison replied with a smile.

"You know you're a great actor. How did it feel to kill your father, and hear your sister scream in pain?" Aleister taunted with a smirk.

"How does it feel knowing you only won cause father was weakened? You didn't have the balls to challenge him at full strength. You're a fucking pussy who can't last more than a few pumps." Madison retorted while spitting in his face.

A few women in the crowd couldn't help but chuckle at her words. Aleister turned around seeing no culprit in sight. Aleister became enraged as he slammed Madison's face into the ground repetitively. He pulled her back up wanting to see her miserable face. Madison had blood running down her face, but a grin was still showing.

"Did I strike a nerve? No wonder you have no children, or a woman by your side now. The equipment is surely faulty." Madison smirked.

"I was gonna keep you around as a pet if you played nice," Aleister said raising his hand.

Aleister held Madison's head higher while lining his hand up. He was preparing to swipe her head off, but Madison simply smiled. Before Aleister's hand could gain momentum his body was halted. He tried to force his hand forward, but it wouldn't budge. It felt as if a forcefield was wrapped around his arm.

Aleister looked around for the person foolish enough to intervene. It was then all the vampires felt a familiar tingle down their spine. One of them was pointing in the air as a pair of golden eyes looked down upon them. Before they could react Zack was in front of Aleister. Zack grabbed his wrist squeezing as he shouted in pain and released Madison.

Zack waved his hand as spell circles surrounded the feet of Madison. They began spinning around her glowing as Madison was encased in earth. Her figure could be seen through the bedrock as she disappeared into the ground.
