The ultimate defense

[I can send multiple probes to secretly collect DNA samples from every Matthew Malloy on the list,] Paris suggested.

"Sure, just make sure it's discreet and doesn't harm anyone. Leave Matthew to me… Oh, and add every James Jasper you find—he should be British," James replied.

To avoid putting all his eggs in one basket, James had Paris track down every individual, male or female, named Matthew Malloy.

This ensured that even if the Matthew he initially suspected wasn't the one, he'd still have the real target within reach.

By casting a wide net, the "real" Matthew Malloy would be found no matter what. Adding James Jasper to the list was a strategic move.

James remembered him as one of Marvel's most powerful reality warpers.

While Matthew Malloy was arguably the most powerful reality warper upon discovering his abilities—raising the dead and overpowering telepaths like Emma Frost—James Jasper was an even greater threat.

James planned to either eliminate him early or strip him of his powers.

As for transferring powers without Matthew's knowledge, the method was simple: isolate the target, use an Element X ring to warp reality within a limited radius, perform the transfer, and erase any memory of the event.

This was the only approach James could think of, as he also intended to delete the X-Gene from both Matthew and Jasper.

An Element X ring would grant him limited yet "limitless" power, avoiding the attention of the Living Tribunal.

Unlike the cosmic ring, which nullified creations outside its vicinity, the Element X ring made changes permanent within its range. Still, James preferred true power over such limitations.

[Affirmative,] Paris said.

Elsewhere, a swarm of ant-sized drones sat on a desk, resembling the Stark drones from Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Numbering in the millions, they lined up neatly before thousands booted up, hovering steadily into the air.

A small portal appeared, and the drones shot through it, disappearing to carry out their mission. Paris controlled these drones effortlessly, as if they were extensions of her body.

Despite their size, the drones were equipped with powerful miniature engines and advanced systems, enabling them to perform complex maneuvers—barrel rolls, sideways hovers, and sharp turns—without malfunctioning.

[Drones deployed. Also, I think I've created a prototype of the symbiote you wanted,] Paris informed James.

"Let's see it," James said.

[Here,] Paris replied, displaying all the information on the new symbiote's genetic structure.

After a few minutes of reading, James couldn't believe his eyes. Paris had solved all the traditional weaknesses of a symbiote and even corrected flaws she identified.

According to the data, this new symbiote was immune to sonic attacks, fire, and energy-based attacks. It was self-sustaining but empowered by emotions—specifically, the host's willpower rather than negative emotions.

The most impressive feature, in James's opinion, was that the symbiote had no mind of its own. The host became its mind, granting complete control.

Unlike Venom, where Eddie Brock had to negotiate with the symbiote, this one obeyed its host entirely.

"This is amazing!!" James shouted.

[I know I'm awesome.]

"As much as I hate to admit it, you are," James said with a smile. If successfully created, this symbiote would be the ultimate soldier.

Venom was already a menace with his power-mimicry abilities, but this new symbiote was on another level.

Immune to conventional weaknesses and growing stronger with the host's willpower, it could easily overpower Venom in its base form.

Over time, as it gained additional abilities, even Toxin—the strongest in Venom's lineage—would be no match. This symbiote would be the perfect protection for James's family.

Controlled entirely by the host's mind, it would remain dormant unless danger arose, acting as a flawless defense.

Like the Hulk to Bruce Banner: "I put a bullet in my mouth, and the other guy spits it out."
