- The Time

I feel cold and I slowly open my eyes. I have a dizzy feeling. The stranger is mesmerising but I cannot be staying here forever. I need to track the time. I pull out the phone from my pocket and try turning it on. The battery is dead.

I remove the battery and place is it on the wooden cot. I pray and initiate the energy flow. I have never tried this before but had heard stories from energy healers on earth. Now is the time to put my energy back to use. I concentrate and draw the energy symbol on my palms and place the battery in between my palms and I can feel the energy oozing through the length of my arms. I must have sat there for close to 2 hours and my arms begin to hurt.

I finally stop the energy flow, thank my master and gods and put back the battery in the battery socket in the phone and try turning it on. The phone flashes on and shows the battery charged upto 20%. It worked. I quickly check the date and time. It shows October 18 2019, and the time says 11:11 am. Why is it pitch dark while it's still morning ? I need to find out.

My brother will turn 16 in exactly 11 months. I need to get back before that. Before his power unleashes. It's been exactly a week when we had been to the fantasy park.

I hear the door creaking again and I quickly switch off the mobile and put it back in my pocket. I plan not to pretend asleep this time, just that he knows I am aware. I plan to use my energy to subside my hunger such that I am not tempted to eat that soup and fall asleep again. But he may get a doubt. I had to think of something to avoid eating that soup.

He comes inside and makes that pattern again . It looks like he drew something like a flashlight and a cooktop pattern on the wall. I am not sure . But I plan to check it out later once he leaves, now that I have my flashlight handy. The light which seemed engraved into the ceiling flashes on and the hidden kitchen comes to life. I am disgusted with that staunch smell again radiating from him. This gives me a quick idea. He sees me sitting and gives his usual adorable grin. I try giving a quick smile which is more of a smirk.

I see the same vegetables . While he begins to chop it up I slowly I get up . I feel a little dizzy but I slowly manage to walk upto him while he is busy chopping. I pretend to be nauseous and have a feeling to throw up. I gesture that I have a pain in my stomach and don't need the soup and I need to go back to sleep. I guess he got the message and stops chopping the weird veggies.

He removes the weird looking instrument which did not work the other day and now turns it on. But seeing the tired look on my face he turns it off and gestures me to go and sleep. Although i was eager to know what that instrument did, I have to wait until he shows it to me and not lose my calm out of curiosity. Patience is the key here. I just nod my head and slowly walk back to my cot. I hear the door creaking behind me and I know he left.

I give a quick grin to myself. My plan worked. I did not have to drink that soup with that grey powder in it, which gives me ample amount of time till he comes back again. I plan to lie down quite for 2 hours just to make sure he is not in the vicinity before I begin to explore.

Meanwhile I need to use the energy again to subside the hunger. I can sense the tears welling up in my eyes again. I feel sad to be in this situation away from my parents and my dear brother who I adore to bits. I quickly wipe away my tears. I need to be strong. I know it's a tough journey but I have no choice. I lie down in the cot and initiate energy to subside my hunger at the same time replenish my energy.
