- Weird Tech

While I finish the soup Ethan takes the empty bowl from me and quickly heads back to the kitchen. Then I notice him removing something out of his satchel which looks like a tab. He carries it and walks back to the room. He gives the tab to me. I stare at it , it looks weird not like anything I have seen before. He shows a tiny button at the right bottom corner which is hardly visible. I literally strain my eyes to figure out that there is actually a button out there. Then he looks at me and pulls out Bozu again to help me with instructions on how to use the tab.

Bozu now switches back to male voice.

Bozu (N) : Rachel this device is called webopedia. It contains everything you wish to know. You will need to say Index thrice for it to show you the index and then you can decide what you need to look through. "

Rachael: "Thanks Bozu. I'll have a look. Again I had a quick question".

Bozu (N): " Sure Rachael "

And then I see the light on Bozu turning into shade of brown . I quickly look at Ethan.

Bozu (A) : " Don't worry. This is just another mode of Bozu called auto thought (A) mode. Ethan that's me, can communicate directly with you now. This is faster mode than translation mode which is the normal (N) but uses more of my soul energy. That's one reason I don't use this mode to reserve energy. I have some urgent work to be completed which does not need much of my soul energy today. So I can use the energy here and then I'll need to get going soon."

Rachael: !!!

Bozu (A) : "What was your question?"

I am dazed and it takes me a minute to get out of it

Rachael: " I am feeling home sick. Is there a way for me to cook food , until you make arrangements for me to get back home? "

Bozu (A) : " Sure. But from what I can sense the materia required in your place may not be available here."

Rachael: "Now that you have given me the webopedia I should be able to figure things out. Or may be if I can't find something may be I can go out and search in the forest? "

With the hidden intention of getting away from here , I had to put it in a casual way that Ethan would not sense my intentions.

Bozu (A): "Without gauging your protection level , you will stand a 0% chance of surviving with the pleasant attractive smell you emit. I have never seen any one with such mesmerising attractive smell to drive the beasts crazy. The ferocious beasts will just need a pixet to kill you and devour you which will in turn increase their protection and energy levels by 1000 times.

I see Ethan pausing for a quick second and then he continues

From my guess you are not from here. We the inmates of this place are born with level 5 protection level, and the protection level increases as we grow older. For your protection I have layered multiple protection shields around this dome. To speed up the protection level we have an alternate cultivation technique which also has energy boosters added to it.

You can have a look at Webopedia for instructions on how to to check your protection level. It also has instructions on alternate cultivation technique which comes with pre- requisite yin- yan ritual which you can have a look at . Go through it and let me know when you are ready for it. For you to get back safely with the smell you emit you will at least need 100 protection level"

I felt nervous listening to all this.

Rachael: "Thank you. I believe you are getting late . Before you leave I had one final question. "

Bozu(A) : " Sure"

Rachael: "How do I recharge this device? "

I was planning to utilise the same source of power to charge my phone.

Bozu (A): "We generally use less than 5% of our soul energy to recharge this device. But again as I said, we have lot of checks to be done on you before trying out anything on your soul . So until then you can use alternative energy source which has been built into this dome. I'll open it up for you but make sure you charge it for less amount of pixels. This energy is extremely powerful and the device may rupture if it charges beyond certain pixels. "

Rachael: "Pixels" ?

I see Ethan quickly switching Bozu to translator mode.

Bozu (N) : "Pixels is a unit of time"

Rachael : " Ok I get it, where can I see the time I mean pixels?"

Bozu (N): " In the right bottom of the webopedia screen. Just recharge the device for less than 5 pixels"

Rachael : "Thanks Ethan"

Ethan seemed to be in a hurry and quickly switched Bozu to Auto thought mode

Bozu (A) : "I'll need to hurry up. Let me show you the recharge spot. Follow me"

Ethan leads me to the kitchen counter

Bozu: (A): " I hope you're touch senses are good enough in the dark. I put a protection spell before I turn the lights on. But you can use this device which acts as both energy and protection source"

Ethan quickly pulls out a hidden door from the kitchen wall just above the kitchen counter and pulls out a circular tray attached to it. He just lightly touches an inscription at the center of the tray and you can see a faint circular green light emitting starting from the center till it covers the entire tray.

Bozu (A): "Once the light covers the tray , the protection and the energy level of the dome will increase. Just place webopedia in the center of it for like 3 pixels and remove it. Just touch the center again to shut off the device"

Rachael: " Thank you Ethan"

Then I see Ethan staring at me again with that love stricken eyes before he finally says bye for the day.

I found all the technology from webopedia to Bozu changing into auto thought mode to this hidden tray weird.

But nevertheless I was excited that I could find some way out with the help of webopedia but hesitant about the energy cultivation method . But then I had to get my hands on this protection and energy methods otherwise as Ethan mentioned I would not survive outside. I had to trust him.

I never got a chance to tell him about the thought I had. Good that I held back. Let me go through Webopedia and then decide on how to put it across to him when I get a suitable chance.
