Chirping was all Finch could do since she turned into a bird. She had never thought that a chirping sound of her speech would turn out to be a normal voice of a human — the voice she used to have as a girl.
It had been a few days since the day she came to the capital. Edmond, Neil and their cousin, Shelley, had agreed to never tell their parents about Finch's ability to speak normal again. Finch had been told not to utter a single word in the present of their parents or somebody else. It was now their little secret.
On the other hand, Edmond had not been able to restrain himself from having conversation with Finch here and there. He would always ask her questions in front of others and literally expect her to verbally answer him. Finch, as best as she could, only gave him a nod or a shaking head, just so the boy could get what he wanted.
