A LINK TO THE PAST - 2

Bartholomew lit up more candle to brighten up the dark room of the first Queen. The room that was covered by the dust before, had been cleaned immaculately by a flick of fingers. It was all thanks to Bartholomew and his secret power.

The so called-first queen was still laying down on the bed. Her grey eyes blinked every few seconds. She was still trying to adjust herself with the lights around her. Her half of century sleep, had got her used to the darkness.

"I know that this might be too bright for your eyes. But it is better than the sunlight outside the castle." Said Bartholomew, standing at the end of the bed. His eyes studied the woman carefully, as he anticipated the sudden change that might occur any minute to her.

Slowly, the woman got up and sat down gracefully on the bed.

Seeing the Queen was fine and strong enough to sit up, Bartholomew smiled widely. "I shall prepare your favourite tea right away, Your Majesty."
