When my eye landed on Elsa I felt crushed, though she looked fully healed her heart barely beat and I couldn't see her chest move. I walked up to her bed side and carefully picked up her hand. It was ice cold to the touch. My heart broke more at the state she was in. I may have just met her but already she was my little girl. It hurt knowing she was in this mess because of me.
I looked up at the boys. "You said I could save her. What did you mean by that? How can I save her?" Tears streamed harder from my eyes and desperation leaked into my voice.
"Please tell me! She's all I have left." I stood there weakly pleading with my tear filled eyes at them. They looked at each other worriedly but came to a silent understanding. Turning back to me they avoided looking in my eyes.
"You have to drain her near dry and give her a piece of your soul. But if you give her the piece she won't be just a comozoz anymore...." Frost trails off still avoiding my gaze. Then Jared jumps in with the next part of the explanation knowing if I didn't get the rest I'd explode in anger. "She'll be like you. Shape shifter, Comozoz, and witch priestess. She won't have time to acclimate to the power, and if you can't help her control it, she'll have to be disposed of permanently, by...." Now even Jared couldn't finish his sentence. But he didn't have to because I drew the connection.
"I'd have to kill her...again." Fresh tears spilled down my face because now either way I'll have to ruin Elsa's life more.
I look down at her still crying. "I'll do it, but how will I know what to do?"
"You just will." They both said in unison.
