If I was using face claims and all that, why'd I choose to make it a play?
Because I thought it was a good idea.
By the way, because I want make it into a movie, film the play when you start to begin the play.
CHARACTERS
NEWSREADER: The man who initially breaks the news of strange sightings of doppelgangers in the town of Houston, Texas, and the subsequent amounts of them not being a mere rarity anymore, not common, yet, not rare, merely just on the lines of uncommon and they're spreading fast.
He then begins to report the famous Omaha singer, The Fairy's Requiem, has hidden her pregnancy and is now boarding a newborn baby girl.
DONOMA: the famous Omaha singer, The Fairy's Requiem, who has hidden her pregnancy and is now boarding a newborn baby girl, who later on has to keep her cloning the child from her own skin cells a secret.
NIDAWI: The newborn baby clone girl, Baby name books and sites list this name as meaning "fairy", but that is incorrect. In Omaha, nidawį actually means "elephant woman", from the Omaha nida referring to the giant bones found in riverbanks but the name was chosen because of the book saying it meant "Fairy" as a reference to her mother.
She falls in love with MIKA, an anti-clone Omaha man who loves her very much but would leave her when he found out she was a clone. Omaha like her mother.
MIKA: Feels like clones are an abomination against God and humanity and has no idea that NIDAWI is a clone. He thinks he loves her very much but it only conditional. He believes they aren't humans and have no spirits or souls, and that humans are made from God and not clones.
He thinks they are inhabited by demons, and they have no souls that would make it harder for demons to possess them. Omaha.
MIKAH: MIKA and NIDAWI's newborn baby girl. Omaha, of course.
ABEYTZI: An unfortunate man who loved NIDAWI and has had a crush on her for 4 years, which no success as she's been with Mika, who hates him and is definately jealous of him, him and NIDAWI is only friends, but she's usually with her lover because of his jealousy. He's lucky to see Nidawi not doing any romantic and flirty things in front of him so as not to hurt him, as she always brings her lover to meet with him so her lover doesn't think she's cheating on him. She is trying to please to conflicting people at the same time while trying to follow her love and moral compass at the same time. Omaha.
ACTOR SARAH THOMAS: Hater of clones and The Fairy's Requiem for cloning, is planning to find a way to expose Nidawi as a clone and get it on the news. Ethiopian Israeli.
PASTOR AMOS: A black Pastor who is secretly both against cloning but is okay with people who came from cloning for fear of his congragation leaving.
BILLIONAIRE Yellow Leaf (the source I found the names from only had two Omaha names for men so I settled for their meanings.): Head of the Native-American film company where they hire only Native-American actors and actresses to play in movies, plays, and music videos and only uses Native-American writers for books and singers or rappers for music.
Is an Omaha Christian and goes to PASTOR AMOS's rainbow church (A church with and for all races is called a rainbow Church). Omaha.
POLICE OFFICER John: A white police officer who hates Natives and clones, he fear clones who want to rule the world will kill all humans but them (in his mind, clones aren't humans) and hates natives and never votes for them in fear of them hurting his family of white people and kicking out all non-natives from America. Black people would have a fit if that happened, not gonna lie. Mexicans will throw fits of rage.
Hennessy Pastor: Not a real pastor, is the mixed 16-year-old half-Cherokee half-white adoptive daughter of Amos and has a problem with John as she feels she isn't safe around him, as he only tolerates her because she's half-white but tells her the natives will kill her if they get in office and she often fears that he'll kill her out of his paranoia, Amos has no idea he's like this and allows him to babysit her as he's skeptical of leaving her alone by herself due to her OCD.
