Drunk

"You know, humans are honest when they are drunk ****DING DONG**** Now tell me, where were you today?"

"Like I told you... I went to Fuji's house..." I tried to unbuckle her hand from my hair.

"Wasn't it strong enough?" She wondered. I am sure it's the same amount as the last time. She let go of her grip and I rested my head back on the wall.

****DING DONG****

Our door bell rung for the second time, but my sister doesn't seem to care any less for it, but it looks like my only hope for help right now, if only I can reach till there...

My sister looks busy searching for something deep inside the cupboard beside me. "Where is it? Did I throw it deeper inside when I hurried?"

[Something is wrong with my sister, Is she even my sister? Where did my sweet, caring and loving sister go?]

I mustered my entire strength in my feet, I can't look quite clearly, every time I try to focus on one point, my eyes roll around. My knees are weak. They are shaking like that of an old man. My head is spinning and I can't seem to find its equilibrium.

***Ding Ding Ding Ding Dong***

But I didn't give up. Trying my best to be silent, avoiding any source of noise. I went on..., dragging my feet, feeling the tatami mat with the support of the wall. I made it outside the kitchen door. It's just a few more meters straight ahead.

"Here it is!!" I heard my sister exclaim in the kitchen. It looks like she didn't notice me yet.

"Where are you running off to, Touya?" She noticed...

Even if I try to run at the fastest I can currently, she may catch me before I reach the door. It's bad it's seriously bad.

As I thought, I stepped on my bathroom slipper, which I kicked awfully far away from the bathroom after I took a pee.

It's worth a try.

With the slipper in between vertically, I closed the kitchen door with all my might; and yes, the door closed with a loud thud, shutting so tight that the knob wasn't even turning.

"You think I can't open a door?" I heard her voice from the other side of the door, but I wasted no time and hurried to the door.

***Ding Ding DIng DOng*** ***Thud THUd*** .

[Who might it be?]

Digling Dangling, somehow I reached halfway when I heard my sister shout and bash the door.

"Why the hell it's so tight?... This f**king slipper."

As I expected, her palms are still wet, so it's harder to turn open the knob.

***Ding DOng***

In the little time I had, I finally made it to the door. All that was left, was to open the door.

**cluck**cluck**

What? I can't open the door.

The lock is open, and the doorknob is turning, so why is it not opening? Is it stuck somewhere?

But no, I don't see it stuck anywhere. Even if I pull it with everything I had, it didn't even budge. I don't know whether it's stuck above or beneath.

What do I do?

I am not as drowsy as before now... But I am still unsteady on my feet. It is silent in the kitchen now. Did she give up?

Think? Think?

Wait! The sliding glass door by the lawn. I can go out from there. But, it's far... Will I be able to make it?

The kitchen door opened...

"At last! Here we go." She noticed me by the door. "Ara, Touya, what are you doing by the door? By chance, were you trying to open it?" she teased.

My heart beat, which was already racing, raced even more. She came out holding the kitchen knife.

"Help! Help! Whoever it is..." I banged on the door. "The door looks stuck... come in from the lawn..."

"Touya!!! Is it Touya? What happened to you?" I heard a voice from the other side of the door.

"Yui?" "Yui!!!" I exclaimed. "Something is wrong with Onee-Chan, she is acting weird. Also, she mixed something in my dinner. Please stop her."

"What is she doing?"

"She is going to kill me." I answered her back.
