Chapter Thirty-one: Back to the Palace

As soon as her mind absorbed what has happened, Haneul's eyes immediately widened. She looked at Wangchul with its eyes closed and lips covering hers.

It was, of course, her first kiss. Her fiancee did not even have the chance to lay a hand on her. How much more kissing?

Haneul was about to push him away when Wangchul opened his eyes that made her shortly froze. Its stare was like the deep ocean. You'll get drown without precaution. It was as if telling her something so important with further longing and loneliness. And with that thought, Haneul felt a pang on her chest. It was as if she skipped some important detail and a part of her memory has been long gone.

Yet Haneul wiped out those thoughts and replaced them with a more reasonable one. Telling lies and taking the identity of someone important to the Emperor, for example. It was all but the conscience that was bugging her right at the moment.
