Poisoned...

She heard sudden loud thumping noise in a distant nearing by a second , loud shrieks followed and ground started to feel vibrations , she got alert and stopped in her tracks ! Before she could realise what it was a strong cloud of dust and soil formed as someone or something ran with a speed of light , she instinctively climbed up the nearby tree and hide behind tree leaves !

After a while when dust in the air settled down and the view was a bit clearer, she saw a lion was laying in a distant , ying yue slowly crawled down the tree and got near the wailing lion who was hurt ! She was careful enough not to be seen by him and hide in nearby bushes .

'Even the king of the forest gets attacked?!' She wondered , how dangerous and beastly these place could be? She observed him from behind the bushes hesitant to approach the groaning lion that was on the grounds groaning in a pain, after all who won't fear a lion though he is wounded, the lion is always a lion no ?!! Still as they say curiosity kills the cat or snake in this situation, she was looking at him curious to know what has happened !

Few minutes passed and lion stopped groaning or moving his body, and his breaths came shallow , seeing he is not moving anymore she came out the bushes and finally approached him with much guts than she thought she actually had in her !

Looking straight at the lion in front of her she gasped at the same time was awestruck ! 'I am actually standing .. err ... crawling right beside lion ! I would have never imagined that my boring life could be this dangerously adventurous!!' she was either laying in hospital beds most of her life or would be doing household chores as ordered by her step mom and rest of the time getting bullied by her family that was the kind of a life past ying yue lived !

She sighed looking at him !

he wasn't that big lion but as she was small he seemed really big to her eyes!

After close inspection she realised he was still breathing and was alive , though his breathing was getting weak every passing second !

He was attacked by an arrow !

Ying yue thought for a second how could she get that arrow out of his body as she didn't have arms or even a legs for that matter !!

Then an idea strikes to her little snake head !

She tightened her snake tail around the arrow , when she felt the grip she pulled the arrow out of his body and he let out a soft yawp !

But this didn't help much in a situation as lot of blood gushed out of the wound when the arrow was pulled out, ying yue got anxious, she looked around , gathered some leaves and vine from nearby plants and creepers to tie around the wound to stop the bleeding but she noticed the blood wasn't red but it was turning black !

'What ? The arrow was poisoned ?!'

She closed her eyes trying to think when she felt a strong headache, she shut her eyes more tightly and saw something ! A series of events rushing through her memory like fast forwarded scenes one after another! And she suddenly opened her eyes , she gasped for breath !

'What ? A vision ?! Or... A memory ?!'

It was all scattered and in bits and pieces , but something clicked !

There was a distinguished white flower with purple edges, it was very unique and different kind of flower and it seemed it was the clue !!

Actually it was a special kind of flower that could heal any wound , could act as an antidote to even the most deadly poison out there !

But where could she find one in this unknown forest..?

But still she decided to give it a try , but before going in a search of the flower she tied those vine of creeper tightly on both sides of the wound enclosing it so that poison doesn't spread to the rest of the body !

Then she slithered fast through the forest following her instinct , though she was new in this world the previous owner of this body , the white snake wasn't new !

After going deep in the forest for about fifteen minutes she saw a familiar place from the previous white snake's memory and crawled into the distinct hole that felt like cave to her but actually was just a snake's burrow !

But it was not just any normal snake's burrow !

It was huge from inside !

The hole seemed small but when she entered inside it was quite big and there was quite a lot of space inside , she looked around and found a rare flower in the middle of what felt like center of that space in a deep wide hole , if she wasn't in a hurry she would have wanted to explore this place but now she didn't had time and only focused on getting that flower and rushing out to the lion !

She crawled down to that wide hole from where she was and plucked the white flower , once she got the flower she swiftly and energetically rushed back in a direction to where the wounded lion was ,

' hopefully he is still alive and my efforts won't go in vain .... hang on buddy, I am almost there ...!' she talked to herself and increased her pace !

When she arrived he was barely hanging on a thread , 'his condition looks worse, but at least he is breathing , I must hurry !'

She quickly found stone nearby, with flower in her mouth she kept it on a stone and with utmost care plus difficulty, thanks to the fact that she didn't have legs or arms !! she somehow made a paste out of that flower !

'How am I supposed to survive with no hands or legs ! I always feared snakes but today I really pity them !'

She then untied the vine that she had tied around his wounds , cleaned the area with leaves using her tail and then applied the flower paste !

She herself was sceptical if it would really work or not yet she has done everything she could do or may be more considering her disadvantageous form ! Now she only hoped that it works !

She herself didn't knew why did she go to this lengths just to save a lion ?! may be because she pitied the dying lion? or may be because she was also been treated badly in her past life that her heart ached and she felt his condition was pitiful though he is a lion ?!

Whatever the reason was , she did what she could and now whether he wakes up or not it all depends on Almighty god !!

After running errands like that she was really hungry now and tired too , she felt the urge to go look for some food but she didn't liked the idea of leaving a patient alone and she can't even take him to somewhere else with her considering his heavy lion body !! That was ten times, no thousands of time bigger than her !!
