Chapter 38

"Are you sure you have to leave out?" Lucas nervously asked his mom while following her to the wide-open front door.

Elizabeth stopped a few feet from the exit as the morning light hit her face. Her head quickly turned to see the luggage silently waiting to be picked up. Without question or being told, Martha slipped past Lucas with her hand, quickly ruffling up his hair along the way. As he tried to stop her from messing up his hair, he couldn't help but watch his older sister in a navy blue sundress swiftly pick up the heavy suitcases and head out the front door. Lucas moved closer to his mother like a baby duckling as she placed a backpack on her back and picked up the last bag before going towards the door.

"I told you already, sweetheart. I picked up the extra job since I can't train you at the moment." Elizabeth said, grabbing her keys out of the bowl. She then turned around and brought her scared son to her chest for a one-handed hug. She then spoke softly to him. "We will only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Besides, you have Amay to keep you safe."

Lucas could feel her heartbeat. While comforting, it didn't calm his nerve.

"That's exactly what I'm afraid of. Couldn't Martha keep an eye on me?" He shyly asked while hugging her back.

Elizabeth gently kissed the top of her son's head before giggling. "Sweetheart, we both know that's a bad idea."

She told him before remembering that she used to have Martha babysit Lucas for a few hours. But one time, she got home to find Martha had Lucas duck-taped to a wall with a tube in his mouth and a bucket under him. When she questioned Martha why, she simply replied, "He annoyed me." That was the day Elizabeth stopped having Martha babysitting him.

"I mean...no, but..." he said, remembering the "feeding" tube.

"Lucas. You will be fine. We will be gone for a few days, and Amay will protect you. She has enough blood to do so," Elizabeth sternly told him.

"But..." Lucas was about to say but silently backed down. "Yes, ma'am."

Elizabeth gave him another one-handed hug to bring him closer to her. "I promise. You will be fine. I will try to hurry my job, but it won't go past a week at most. I love you." She softly assured him.

Lucas sighed as he hugged her back. "I love you, too."

Elizabeth let him go before continuing out the open door and quickly loading things into the car.

"I will call you when we get there and when we are almost home!" She yelled back to him before stepping into the car to look at him. She watched as her son waved her off as she started the car.

A long sigh left his mouth as he watched the car pull off from their house. A frown came across his face as he realized this would be weird.

"First time home alone with a girl that can manipulate blood. Home alone with a girl for a few days. Alone with a girl for a few days. A cute girl that I've kissed." Lucas's mind began to speak to him as reality set in. He couldn't help but blush as he remembered the soft feel of her lips on his. He quickly shook his head as his mind began to trail off into dirty thoughts.

Lucas closed and locked the door as soon as his mom's car disappeared into the tree line. He looked down for a moment as he felt his heart begin to beat a little faster and his hands become sweaty. His mind was moving in all directions, yet he was still unsure about being alone with Amay. While there was no problem with her, and he thought of her as a friend, he was afraid of their little secret becoming something else or more. He shook his head again, trying to push those thoughts further back.

"I need something to drink." He said, turning around to see Amay staring up at him. Lucas nearly jumped out of his skin as he saw her giant red viper-like eyes. "Fuck!" He screamed as he gripped his chest with his right arm, and this only caused more pain in his right arm from the sudden jerk and clench.

Amay childishly giggled as she knew what she was doing. She couldn't help but continue to laugh as she looked at how badly he jumped. "You make it too easy sometimes," she teased at him. Her red eyes then looked towards the locked door behind him. "So did they leave already?" she asked, slightly tilting her head past him.

"You're gonna give me a heart attack." Lucas angrily mumbled. His expression quickly changed as he saw the way she was slightly hunched over with her hands behind her back while her head was tilted. He could feel his face slightly blush as he could almost see her entire chest. He quickly averted his eyes upwards. "Y-yeah. They are gone," he quickly told her.

"And we are alone now?" She said, looking back up at him. She then took one step towards him as her smile started to deepen.

Lucas took one step back. "I mean, yes."

"Just the two of us? With no one around for a good while away." Amay said, taking another step towards him.

Lucas could feel a nervous sweat beat down his face as he felt his body touch the door. "Amay..what are you trying to get at?" Lucas bravely asked her.

Amay closed the distance between them and pushed her body close to his. She then looked up at him with a sinister smirk. She could feel how tense and nervous he was, and the way he blushed even more made her giggle.

"Oh, nothing. I was just pointing out that you are alone with a girl." She said, getting on her tippy toes a little. "I just thought we should take advantage of it." She said, walking her fingers on his chest.

Lucas felt her fingers on his chest and could feel her warm body against his. His face became redder as he looked down at her red lips. He noticed that she was somewhat blushing herself, and her words main him swallow hard.

"What do you have in mind then?" Lucas asked and prepared himself for what she was about to say.

Amay's lips came together to form a sedative smile on her face as she made eye contact with him. She softly giggled escaped as she came closer to him is lips.

"Why don't you come upstairs and find out." She whispered, using her voice to trap him. She slowly brought her hand down his left arm before interlocking her fingers with his. Amay then slowly pulled him with her as they started to walk upstairs.

"Oh my God! It's happening," Lucas's inner voice began to scream at him excitedly, but as it quickly turned into internal screaming of fear. His body slowly followed Amay as he tried to think of how this could all go. He couldn't say anything as they started to head upstairs to his room.

A solid hour had passed, and Lucas found himself sweating and breathing heavily. He never expected to be working so hard and could feel his heart pumping fast with excitement as he felt himself getting closer. "I'm close, Amay!" He found himself yelling out.

"Not yet. I'm almost there." Amay yelled back as her face was blushing a deep red as she was in the same condition as Lucas. "No fair. Slow down!" She said, trying to catch up.

"Yes. Yes. Yesss!" Lucas yelled out loud as he fell backward. He was breathing heavily as he never expected to feel this good while still holding the control in his hand as he looked back up at the word "Victory" written on his tv screen.

"Well played. You win, again." Amay said, exhaling as she felt so close to beating him in this match. A long sigh left her mouth as she shook her head. "I need to practice more."

"Hey. Don't beat yourself up like that. You have gotten a lot better in this game, and you actually gave me a run for my money." Lucas said, wiping the sweat off of his brow.

He and Amay have been playing his fighting game for the past hour. She went straight to his room and told him she wanted to beat him in the game. Part of himself was relieved that it wasn't what he thought it was, but he did feel slightly disappointed. However, the moment she started talking shit about being better than him, he had to step up to the challenge.

"I will say you go really good with her move set. She's usually the most difficult to master." Lucas complimented her on the character she was fighting against him with. "You really caught me off guard in the first and second match, but I'm glad we did the best of 5."

"Well, thank you. I honestly liked her look and color choices." Amay proudly told him. "If only it were the best of 3. No matter, I had you worried there." She smugly said while leaning back on her hands. This caused her shirt to rise to reveal her shorts.

"You did. You did. I'll give you that one." Lucas chuckled a little. "You had me sweating badly."

Amay just giggled at him as she watched him nod in agreement and the way he said it. "That's what happens when you try to take it easy on me. I learn and get better."

"I agree." Lucas nodded while still chuckling. He then felt his stomach tighten up a little as he felt it growl at him. "Man. I'm hungry."

"Now that you said it out loud. I have built up quite the appetite myself." She agreed as food did sound good. "But I also want to play one more match."

"Same, but I do want to eat," Lucas said, feeling his stomach growl again. He then thought of a great idea. "I got it."

"Oh?" she said, tilting her head to the left.

"If you beat me in this last match, I will take you anywhere you want to eat. No matter what." Lucas casually explained. "But you have to beat me in the game."

"Hmmm," she thought about it. "What do you get out of it?" She asked him.

"I'm still the best, and you are a second-rate loser." Lucas smugly said.

"Someone's talking mighty big of themselves," Amay said, raising an eyebrow and smiling.

"Bitch, I'm King Kong in this shit. You in or what?" Lucas said, feeling his ability in the game.

"Alrighty, "King-Kong." I will take your deal with the condition that you have to do whatever I say for one day." Amay said, sticking her hand out.

"Pfft. You're on then." Lucas said, smiling and shaking Amay's hand.

As they started up the match, Lucas took the lead by getting the first blow. However, the table slowly started to turn as Amay started using different combos and spamming some attacks. She quickly took the first match and took a significant lead as Lucas followed behind. Lucas promptly took the second match, tieing both of them. Just as the final game started, Lucas took the lead, and just as he was about to finish it, he slipped up and pressed the wrong button. Amay struck like a viper. She didn't show any mercy as she finished the match and ended it with a perfect finisher.

"I WON!!!" Amay gladly shouted. She dropped the controller, jumped up, and did a little victory dance. "In your face Kong-King. I win, so we are going out to eat at the best restaurant around." She told him to his face with a big toothy smile.

"Okay. Okay. You won." Lucas said, feeling a little upset. This quickly went away as he saw how happy she was from this. He couldn't believe how cute a smile she had, even with her sharp teeth.

"I'm so excited," Amay said, barely able to control her excitement. "Ooo. I can't wait."

"Before we go, let's at least freshen up and then head out. I will call us a ride as well." Lucas said, standing up and realizing he could smell himself from his sweat. He could only imagine what Amay could smell from him.

"Oh. That's fair," Amay said, finally realizing their smell. "I'll go get ready then." She happily said as she quickly left out of his room.

Lucas couldn't help but chuckle and smile. "She's something else." He said to himself as he didn't want to waste any more time and keep his part of the bargain.
