Actually, among the various Beastman Tribes, they do value the relationship between teachers and students, but it is far less intimate than the mentor-apprentice relationship in the Cultivation World.
In the Cultivation World, the relationship between a master and a disciple is sometimes even closer than that between a father and son because the time spent together between a master and a disciple is much longer than that between a father and son, and because the mental and material efforts required to teach a disciple are absolutely beyond ordinary comprehension.
And most importantly, all disciples are the successors of the same sect, and a cultivator's loyalty to their sect far exceeds ordinary comprehension.
Because of this, when a master is teaching their disciple, they will pass on their own insights into the Dao as well, which can certainly be considered an intimate passing on of the mantle.
