"Brother Mikoto, I'll leave the magical beasts from the left to you. Murlocs, form teams of three and block the magical beasts coming from the right. Elementals, stay at the back and be sneaky. Suppress them using long-range attacks. Do not go near and get affected by AOE damage.
"Earth Elemental, stay here with me. If there are any magical beasts that come towards me, shield me.
"Murloc Commander, you are much more sturdy. Go and tank while the other two attack. When the commander can no longer handle it, then one of you will replace him.

"Ice Elemental, come over and support Murloc Group Number Three. They have a high agility magical beast over there. Freeze it and then attack it to death.
"Lightning Elemental. Throw your lightning over there. Right, just like that. Focus them all at one point, and blow them all up!
"Oh? The Murloc Commander has leveled up? And learned a new skill? Alright! Go over there and try your new skill. Use it on the monster in front of you, and see how much damage you deal.
"One hit kill? Not bad. Use more of this skill and increase your proficiency. Once it has leveled up, it should become even more powerful.

After saying that, Zhang Yun sat down on the stone table that was placed next to the shop's door. He took out drinkable water from his Inventory, and then downed it with a glug.
"Ah!

After resting for a few seconds, he stood up once again and joined the battle.
"Hey hey hey! Murloc Group Number Four, what are you doing? Defiling a corpse? Quickly rush forward!
"Murloc Group Number Three, to the right! Block the empty space to the right!
"Commander, you are out of HP? Do not worry! I will use a totem right now!

[Summary:
Once the totem was placed, all the Murlocs that had suffered different degrees of injuries began to glow green. At the same time, they also had green numbers floating out from their heads and their almost depleted HP quickly recovered.
Very quickly, all the Murlocs once again had fully recovered and became vigorous enough to wave their scimitars in their hands again. They then cried out as they rushed toward the closest magical beasts, and the Totem of Healing's duration was not even halfway expired.

Zhang Yun looked at his Inventory with heartache. He had wasted one of the 999 Totems of Healing that he had taken out from Storage, and he only had 998 left.
Other than those, his Inventory still had other support items. For example, "Totem of Speed", "Totem of Attack", "Vulnerary", "Strengthening Pill" and others. All of them were at 999 in terms of quantity.
But in truth, while he had prepared so many items, Zhang Yun did not expect to use them. At least, not now.
As for the sole Totem of Healing he had used, it was only because there were too many monsters in this dungeon and his followers could use this chance to increase their levels. Only then, did he take it out reluctantly and use it to give them some help to increase their proficiency.
If it was during normal times, he would not be so wasteful.
He would directly have his followers be at Fate's mercy. It mattered little if they died since Brother Mikoto, the Poor Man's God of War was there. Even if all his followers had died, he alone could clear the entire street.
When he was fighting the Twilight Wolf, the reason that Zhang Yun did not heal the Murlocs was because he had considered that as he was going to summon a powerful brawler and let it take care of those normal bosses anyway, there was no need to spend any resources on the cannon fodder that he sent to test their strength.
Not to mention that the bosses instantly killed them anyway, so healing the Murlocs would be useless. So, he might as well save all his resources and let the Murlocs die.
If Brother Mikoto was the one that had a little bit of life left, then it would be a different case. Zhang Yun would immediately take out his recovery items from his Inventory and heal his HP, so that he would not be killed by his enemy.

That was the difference between how players treated powerful characters and cannon fodder…
Conserve what must be conserved, spend what must be spent, and it varies from summon to summon…
Sigh. The life of a hoarder was that simple, unadorned, and dull.
Time had passed very quickly and it had already reached 11 in the evening. As Zhang Yun commanded his followers and had them kill the magical beasts, their levels had increased higher and higher, along with their combat capabilities.
He also looked for chances to go down and give a few strikes to get some combat experience, or kill low-level monsters that had little HP left which he stabbed in the back for that final strike XP.
He did not know why the level of the magical beasts were not that high, mostly between level 10 to level 20, the highest level being only level 22, and they were only minions.
However, Zhang Yun felt that it was a good thing. At least he did not have to worry about his followers being instantly killed, he could have them go and fight at their own leisure, and all he needed to do was to use the items that could recover just enough HP on them.
Using the large amount of XP, the Murlocs' levels had all increased to level 15. The Elementals that fought previously had also increased to level 18.
That was because their attacks were very powerful and magical in nature. They had taken many of the final strike XPs. This included the extra XP from killing the worm boss earlier that was of a higher level than them. It was normal for them to be of a higher level than the Murlocs.
On the other side, Brother Mikoto was on a roll, and the number of magical beasts he killed was more than all of his other followers combined.
He killed monsters as easily as he was cutting vegetables, and wherever he went all the magical beasts there would swiftly fall. All of them had been killed in one strike. And those that were already dead were still damaged by the flames, dealing 0 damage to them as the fire burned.
Those magical beasts could not even touch his clothes. While some did, he managed to evade them by taking a step back. At most, they would be able to give him a light scratch and not even deal 20 HP worth of damage.
Since Zhang Yun had grew to level 20 earlier, these normal monsters gave him very little XP. Even if he included the XP from killing the Twilight Wolf, Brother Mikoto had at most increased his level to level 22.
Luckily, personal XP was not the only thing that the magical beasts offered up. They also offered up class XP and skill proficiency. Brother Mikoto's class level had been increased to level 4 and he had learned a new skill, while several of his skills had grew to both level 2 and level 3.
In general, Brother Mikoto's improvements were quite significant.
As for the person that got the best deal thanks to the magical beast horde…
