The Legacy System

Each and every one of those words seemed like a threat in and of its own. It was clear that the overseer was directly targeting Eric.

Eric wasn't really surprised by this, because while it looked like this guy was here for that Master Heartless the reality was actually the exact opposite.

This guy was just a rabid dog that the owner had sent in order to bite and make trouble for him, but this was also a great opportunity for him to find out who was the owner of the dog.

For that reason, Eric didn't seem willing to step back, as he said in a stalwart and staunch voice,

"As a matter of fact, I am doubting you, overseer! From the moment you appeared, you have tried to set me up against this Mountain fool, with unclear intentions.

If it weren't for that great Master Heartless by your side I would think that this is the will of the organizers, trying to act against me and my partner, Young Miss Long!"
