Tears streamed down her eyes as she cried silently and full of resentment. If Esmeralda had never been born... "Everything started to get worse because of you!" She cast a hateful glance at Esmeralda.

"Sister, are you okay?" Esmeralda didn't notice her sister's hateful look and went to console her. She didn't believe her father acted that way because of her, after all, it was when Rachel tried to mention the box that he got nervous. She was also perceptive enough to notice the direction her father looked afterwards.

"Is Dad afraid that this gentleman will steal the sacred Buddha's finger?" Esmeralda began to believe that this was the truth.

While the sisters' mother remained silent, she cast an indifferent look at Rachel. "This unlucky girl, born under a bad star, blames her younger sister when, in fact, it was thanks to my dear Esmeralda that my luck changed." Her gaze shifted when she turned to Esmeralda.
