The Blast Of The Mates' Bond 2

"Tashina?!" Xavier called out in the drowning silence.

Her heartbeats were faint but he could feel it in him, the small beats desperately trying to come back to life.

Xavier quickly scooped her in his arms and walked down the market as his eyes searched for something.

During the turmoil, the small bear had gone back into Tashina's pocket and laid there.

"Xavier" Ren called out as he followed his cousin.

"She's alive," Xavier said while still running his blue eyes over the market.

"What? How's that possible?!" Ren asked in confusion and followed his cousin down to an empty stall.

"I have no idea but she is. Now help me get that carriage here" Xavier pointed at the wooden cart which looked like it had gone through better days.

Ren asked no questions and went to the cart as per his cousin's orders. He pushed closer to Xavier and Xavier gently laid down the princess on the cart and covered her with a small blanket that was found on the cart.

The Alpha then turned back and went to stand in front of the people, his body reeking of pure anger and rage.

The people who have successfully been as quiet as they could, all became on alert as their Alpha watched them silently with furious blue sockets.

They were used to his indifferent stares and attitude but never once have they seen the Alpha exhibit an emotion so powerful and threatening as the intense rage that emitted from his pores.

"All of you will be held accountable for this" he gritted out menacingly and ran his eyes into each and every single one of the people who were standing as though sticks have been driven through their arse.

"But sir, she's-" the next words of the man who stabbed Tashina were cut off short by a pair of hands gripping his throat with no mercy.

"Say another word about her and that will be your last" Xavier spat out with glazing fiery eyes which were starting to change into a deep-sea blue as his hands squeezed the man's throat as though it were nothing.

The man's eyes started changing color as his entire neck went into a color transition from red to blue than to purple.

People around him began to fear for his life but their lips were sealed as a fresh bag of chips, not daring to make even the slightest movement so as not to offend the Alpha.

"Alpha, that's enough!" Ren quickly ran to stop his cousin.

"Stop this, we need to get her to the castle immediately" Ren whispered in Xavier's ears because he knew that is the only thing that could save the poor man's life.

Xavier visibly relaxed and his eye color changed back to the normal cool blue. He walked out of the market, not bothering to spare a glance at any of his subjects.

Ren took the driver's seat and rode the cart towards the path of the castle as Xavier sat beside Tashina, not taking his eyes off her for even a second.

His long, blood-stained fingers went forward to stroke her red hair which was in a loose ponytail. He watched the way her closed eyes fluttered its eyelashes and the way her mouth was parched out from the cold weather.

He didn't want to look at her body which was filled with every type of wound and was covered in thick red blood which looked almost black now so he kept his eyes solely on her face.

He heard a sound coming from somewhere close to Tashina and located it from his hoodie that the princess was putting on.

His curious hands dived into the pocket and when he felt a soft, hairy ball, he grabbed it and took it out from the pocket.

He came in face to face with a white polar bear which bore the deepest of brown eyes. The small thing looked up at him in slight fear and awe.

The Alpha also stared back at the little thing which barely covered his palm, his expression was slightly dazed.

"Look what we have here," he said as he poked the bear with his finger and the bear jumped with a small,

"Koka!"

"Aren't you ticklish?" he asked with a wistful smile.

The bear turned around, looking for something until it finally found Tashina laying on the cart, covered in her own blood.

The bear laid down on Xavier's palm as it stared at Tashina with a look of sadness clouding its small face.

Xavier put the bear down, next to him as they both stared at the sleeping angel.

"This is all my fault" The little bear looked up at the Alpha.

"I shouldn't have left her" Xavier whispered as the tears threatened to fall out again but he held them back.

In a way, this was kind of an ironic situation. Just five days ago, Xavier found Tashina, injured and took her to his tower just the same way she is injured now, barely alive and he is taking her to another of his abode.

The only difference was that the last time, her breaths calmed him down but now, the rough and ragged breaths that escaped her mouth made him fear for if it would be her last.

The road to the castle was long and quiet. Ren who was driving was busy watching out for any attackers who usually stayed in this part of the town by this hour, Xavier was still watching Tashina who had made no move to wake up and the little bear had fallen asleep.

The sun was slowly going down and as it was descending, it brought down with it a beautiful, heart-wrenching, orange and yellow hue which covered the sky obliviously.

By the time they reached the castle, the sun had already fallen and the moon took its place with radiant glory.

"We're here" Ren announced and stopped the cart before the gates.

He stepped down to inform the gatemen about his presence and they were quick to open the gates for their Beta.

The Alpha was in a worn-out cart, shirtless and barefooted, besides him was a sleeping bear and an injured female vampire.

This wasn't normal.

But the guards didn't say a word and made sure to secure the gates after they passed through.

The North-Eastern castle was a lot of things but it wasn't small. The vast space was shared into different buildings which each had its own purpose.

By the left was the Packhouse in which the soldiers, workers, and officials of the Pack resided. It was mostly loud and noisy because of the youths that rule the place.

While by the right were servants' quarters in which all the maids, guards, and helpers in the castle lived. It was a fairly big and well-adorned building.

The Castle was at the center of attraction. It was a five-story building with several small houses attracted to it. Painted with the glowing gold and white combination, the building was the epitome of architecture glamour.

The lights on all three buildings were on and noises could be heard from all.

Some of the Werewolves from the Packhouse were out, taking a breath of fresh air and when they saw the Beta driving a cart in which sat the Alpha and a female vampire, they all looked at each other in confusion before they hurried inside to tell the others about the bizarre scene they witnessed.

Upon arriving at the castle, Xavier took Tashina in his arms and headed towards his room past the main door and past the maids who were cleaning up for the day.

Everyone's mouth fell open at the strange yet very real situation that occurred before their eyes.

When a few maids regained consciousness, they followed the Alpha as he went to his private chamber.

"Greetings, Great Alpha. Should we prepare a warm bath for you?" one of the maids asked as she struggled to keep pace with his long strides.

"The food is ready, should we serve it first?" another of the maid asked.

The Alpha opened the door to his private chamber as she was still in his arms and rushed to put her in his bed.

"Should I get the first aid kit?" one of the maids asked despite the glare in her eyes for the vampire.

"All of you, get out!!!" The Alpha yelled and they all scrambled out of the room as he closed the doors behind them with a loud bang.
