After the long drive, Mr. Smith slowed the car as we enter a resort. The palm trees that aligned the entrance, my eyes wander around and saw the director's car and along with the staff.
"We're here" Mr. Smith stated as he stopped the car. I hopped off and embrace the breeze that gently hit me. The calming sound of waves, the wind that gently rustles the trees, it felt summer.
"Miss Summer" It was Mr. Smith, carrying my luggage. "The director told me to escort you to your room, please follow me" and Mr. Smith walked. I followed him behind as my eyes wander around.
My eyes landed on Nathaniel and Tresha, talking. Nathaniel saw me and I averted my gaze, I speed my walk, catching Mr.Smith.
"Mr. Clayton, Miss Tresha, and Mr. Flynn arrived early than us," Mr. Smith said. I nodded and we entered a light-colored house that has a bit of modernity in it. Mr. Smith halted in front of an elevator and press a button. Instead of stairs, it has an elevator. Classy choice from the director.
"This is your room, Miss Summer" and Mr. Smith opened the door, I'm awed as I entered. It is light blue with seashells being a curtain and a conch with a starfish being pinned in a wall. I opened the sliding door and looked at the view, the ocean and the palm trees are seen.
"This place is great," I said, turning around to look at Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith nodded, "Indeed" and put my bags on the floor. "this place is reserved so if you need anything, just call the lobby desk"
"Okay' Mr. Smith. Thank you" and I closed the door. A sudden knock is heard, I opened it and...
'Hey, I want to talk to you" I take a glance sideways, looking if someone saw us. "What do you want to talk about?"
'I just.. well, I miss hanging out with you"
Come again? Nathaniel miss hanging out with me.
'No, you didn't miss me. Anyway, go and have fun talking to Tresha. You disturbed my chill time" I said, turning my back on him. "Oh, the way you sound of "have fun talking to Tresha" seems… you ar—"
I cut his sentence off as I felt my cheeks went red, I turned around and looked at him.
"Oh, I'm not. Remember rule number 1"
Nathaniel nodded, "Oh, yeah. Sorry about that. I thought you are already falling for m—"
"Shush your mouth, Nathaniel. You are too full of yourself" and Nathaniel laughed. "Alright. Gotta go and hang out with Tresha instead." And he walked out. I looked outside my door, looking sideways. My eyes widened as I saw Bryce.
"Bryce, w-what are you doing here?"
He didn't hear us, right?
"Oh, I was wandering around"
"Oh, I see' I said, sighing in relief.
"Hmm?"
"Oh, it's nothing. I just.." I paused, "I'm just tired today so.." I lied, pointing inside my room.
"Oh, go ahead. Sorry if I did disturb you or something"
"Oh no no," I laughed, shaking my head. I grabbed the doorknob, "So, uh.. happy wandering around"
He smiled and I shut the door. I sighed and laid my back against the door, jumped on my bed, I'm too tired. I need my beauty sleep. I'm not tired, maybe because Natuaniel ruined it by making me jealous. I wouldn't let anyone ruined my day, I grabbed my bikini and went to the mini bar. The calming waves of the ocean and the subtle summer music in the bar made me relaxed for a bit. I sighed and let the breeze hit my face. The sudden laughter of Tresha interrupted me, I removed my sunglasses and take a glan\e down, I saw Nathaniel and Tresha playing together.
'how weird that you didn't play with Nathaniel?" Bryce said, looking at them.
"Come join us!"Tresha said, I gave her a subtle smile. 'I—"
"come, join us" Nathaniel said. I look at Bryce, his eyes looking at them. I look back at them and before I could reply, Bryce took my hand and drag me.
"He—Hey! I don't want to play with—" Bryce cut my sentence.
"I'm not in the mood. So,--"
"Just play. One game" Bryce said, trying to convince me. Bryce and I headed towards them, they tossed the ball and we start playing.
"Good job, Daphne," Bryce said and I smiled.
They played and Nathaniel glared as he notice Daphne's expression. She seems so happy with Bryce.
"I'm tired. Not gonna play anymore" and Nathaniel walked out, leaving the three confused.
" What's wrong with him? Daphne asked herself.
The sun has set and the smell of barbeque filled their mini-open bar. The director along with the staff happily chat.
"Oh, Nathaniel. Why daphne and you seem to be distant today?" the acting agent of Nathaniel teased. Nathaniel deeply sighed, "She seems to have fun talking with Bryce. So.."
"Are you jealous?" Nathaniel laughed, brushing the remark. "Jealous? Why would I?"
The acting agent gave him a funny look, teasing him. Nathaniel averted his gaze and looked at the two chatting together. She seems to enjoy the chat with Bryce.
"Honeyy" Nathaniel rolled his eyes at the voice of Tresha.
"I have to leave you both. Enjoyy' Nathaniel scoffed. Tresha clinged on his arms.
"Why do you call me, honey? We are not filming. Anyway, what do you want?"
"You're so cold to me when I just wanna hang out with you"
Nathaniel shook his head. "Seems they enjoyed talking," Tresha said, looking at Daphne and Bryce.
Nathaniel ignored it and looked at them, pissed.
"You are her boyfriend right? Then why she didn't talk with you. you two should spend together"
Nathaniel looked at Tresha, glaring.
"Maybe she didn't love you at all." Nathaniel's eyes widened.
"What's that glare? You are scaring me" Nathaniel stared at her.
"She loves me and I love her" and Nathaniel walkout.
He knows that their relationship is for only display but he is so pissed when he saw Bryce and Daphne, talking together. He knew Daphne isn't like before that is plain.
"Why would I be jealous when Daphne talks with someone? It wouldn't change the fact that she was plain before. And.. she can talk to some guy. It's in Rule Number 2 but.. why I'm so pissed off?"
Nathaniel asked himself. "and... I know I'm not in love with her´
or does he?
