'Order and Chaos'

[Wuyang City, North eastern Caizhou]

"Ah...so, General Xiao Yun has ordered us to attack the raiders?"

-A young man clad with nice Jin armor, asked the Fifty-two year old City Magistrate- Chen Wu.

"..."

"what happened Lord Wu? What's written in the letter?", the young man in armor asked recklessly.

"It's pretty un-clear, It seems prince Yun has a bad handwriting-" The old man having a weary eyesight, looked at those words more closely. "It says he wants us to prepare our soldiers-" he added.

"That's what I thought to be, I will attack those ruffles of Khitan!", the young man excitedly cut down the old man's words.

"Aiyo No!"- Magistrate Wu exclaimed with weariness.

"...Then???"- the young man frowned in visible confusion and disappointment.

"He has requested us to not attack."

"Are you sure he wrote this?", the young man frowned again- "I mean, we should be attacking those ruffles raiding our countryside right now, if not attack then what?"

"He has told us to do just nothing.", the Magistrate answered. "He just wants us to be ready to deploy our Garrison anytime. It's written down here."

"-Ahemm..", the young man frowned again in seer confusion- He wasn't able to believe a General is not telling them to attack the enemy, else he is telling them to do absolutely nothing when the enemy is in front of them.

'Is he mad?'-the young man thought in his mind.

"Well, I see you are confused."- the Magistrate observed the visible disappointment on the young man's face.

"How can't I be confused by this order?-", the young man clarified- "We have the advantage of the first strike still now, and instead of asking us to strike the Mongols standing at our doors, He is asking us to stay put inside our city walls; I mean who won't be confused?"

"Well, Liuentenent Cao-", The Old man added-"If the Prince has told us to hold our forces, we will cooperate with him, at least he won't be blaming us for not accepting his order if something ill happens."

"What ill can happen here, their Khitan infantry has deliberately camped front of us mocking our power; I can't believe I can't destroy those merely three or two thousand ruffles with my 2000 Light Cavalry..."- Cao replied unwillingly, making faces to show his disappointment.

"Aiyo Liuentenent, Don't say that-", Magistrate Wu stopped Cao-" Its the order of the second prince of Caizhou, General Xiao of the great Xijin Army- if he has ordered something like this, He definitely knows the stakes and risks of the actions he is acting on. Afterall, He is the one who accompanied the Grand General Heda in the battle of Da-chang-yuan in the past year. We should obey him other than trodding upon his orders."

The Liuentenent kicked the floor in rage and left in a frowned face, almost scaring off the perching birds from the arch of the Barrack's building.

[Shen Dian Zhen City, 11kms South-west of Qing county.]

A well equipped soldier rushing up his horse to the castle doors, like a storm's eyes glaring on a standing tree far away.

*Krrrrr….*

The heavy and weary doors opened up, exposing the Jin City of 'Shen-Dian-Zhen' - more likely known as the heart of the Caizhou's 'Eclipse' army, not to mention the leader of this army was the brother of the Caizhou's richest person- Lord Bai Qin.

Well known for its highly prized heavy cavalry equivalent to the Black Knights; it had a fame of its own, because of having intercepting many Song and Xia incursions between the Caizhou-Chang'an route.

But, after Bai Qin's minor fall in the previous year, this army was left to defend the Shen-Dian-Zhen city which covered flanks of Capital City and it's sheer defense.

"Report!"

The man on the horse came down and bowed to the Officer standing there.

"The Second Prince has sent you a message!"The Young soldier still bent to an extent, handed out a piece of folded paper to the hands of the Officer.

Opening its ends, the Officer held up the paper over his eyesight in the dim glow of the eastern sky-

Four lines of poorly written words appeared on the paper, bearing a Royal seal of the Jins.

Reading it with ultimate difficulty* for a while, the official nodded in assertion with the soldier- welcoming him inside the city garrision. What message it was; had just a couple of hours to be reavealed.

[Baohexiang City, east of Wuyang]

It's already late, but the sun still being hesitated to come out over the Eastern sky- made the coldness of the City gates seeming to be have an aura of serene and calm feelings out of it.

But, the serenity of the gates; soon came off when the blowing wisps of wind hurled down the burnt Jin flag in front of the wooden gate, drenched in the dust and dirt.

Baohexiang's walls were breached by the Mongol raiders a day earlier, and the city was already in the Mongol hands- the hands; whose cruelty can make evil the devil ashamed of him.

There were five thousand soldiers already camped here alongwith the contingent of three thousand khitan cavalry camped at 10 miles west of the city-

Led by the Khitan General Xiao La, these troops purged into the Baohexiang's walls as the magistrate of the city defected to the Mongol's side and opened the door; from where this overwhelming force of raiders launched a swift night attack on the city when the garrison was unaware of the dangerous position of the enemy.

Looking closely enough, one can find the bloodshed of the yesterday's breach of the castle had made the streets red with the stench of blood and corpses.

But, About this thing no one really had any clue though- As the whole point of view was cut off by the four thousand Khitan cavalry covering the sights of the Jin eyes from the Wuyang and Qing County being in the limelight of their target.

It was not a 'small' army standing before the Wuyang and Qing country- It was a whole damn tumen* of ten thousand raiders.

Victory seems to be evitable for the mongols; having a upper hand in almost every aspect for the moment- in numbers, tactics and experience along with perfection.

But, There are some really wicked plans hidden inside the way of time.

The time, which sees everything.

The Time having the evidence of everything.

Many questions already dominate the sphere of the situation;

Afterall, who knows what plans Yun has throbbed into the Jin 'war-machine'?

And, Will our not-too-good MC get something better by this?

Who knows.

*The time knows though. xD*

[Qing County Yamen]

"Lord Yun, are you really saying you won't fight in the battle?", Dai Fu asked persuasively.

"No!", Yun moved his head in disagreement.

"Are you saying NO, and gesturing YES?"- Dai fu asked with a certain confusion in eyes.

"What do you want to say, my lord?"- he added.

Quickly realizing his movement of head* was an abnormal gesture for his Chinese appearance, RSK repeated the gesture again and again- now acting to have a itch on his shoulder.

"I will be just directing the battle-", Yun answered carelessly, "I don't have the Military seal, so I shouldn't fight."

"Why?"

"I don't want to-"

"You? -don't want to?"

"Yeah!"

"you are planning for something then?"- Dai fu slowly whispered near Yun.

'Yeah! to just escape from this situation; without getting again into this blood, and death.'-Yun nodded faking a smile and left.
