As on one side, Daifu was getting uneasy about Yun's awkward behaviours- he was also not devoid of the fact that his behaviour was irregular, yet it doesn't matter much as his decisions were damn accurate for each and every situation till now.
Neither the Prince was needing to fight by himself in the Battle, nor he needed to bleed for the victory in the war- he was just directing his actions without even looking clearly at the outcome- it was like he knew everything that would happen the next.
'So Perfect!'
Daifu flustered, as he got the battle report from Wuyang City's garrison.
"What? you are saying the Khitan infantry moved without noticing the second ambushing army's position?"
-Dai fu was surprised; he had just reached the gates of Wuyang, and this news just flew in from the scout towers of the city wall.
"Yeah-Yeah-Yeah!" Lieutenant Cao, being reckless to address the 'right hand'* of the Prince, came out of the gates to welcome Daifu; almost scaring off the soldiers already addressing the Butler, unaware of their officer will pop out of nowhere.
"Aiii! Don't make me seem scary-" Cao joked on the soldiers whose steps were taken aback when seeing their officer's sudden appearance.
Seeing Cao's funny behaviour, Dai fu's lower face showered a small scale of smile on them- but, immediately hiding it with the ultimate precision he screwed down his next words, sure of his act wasn't noticed by anyone.
"It's fine, Liuentenent Cao! You are definitely not scary- believe us."
But, Cao had noticed this gesture and was now embarrassed of his sudden act of popping up. Hiding his embarrassment, he immediately changed his tone to a serious one; One which reflected his dominant nature- seemingly hiding his reckless than making it obvious.
"Heh...Heh...What new orders are for the Wuyang's Garrison?"-He enquired Dai Fu about if any new orders issued to him; his face showing the glittering unrest rising in his head.
"Yeah-Yeah-Yeah! Second Prince has sent you a request as by his identity as 'General Xiao of Xijin', and wants you to lead a cavalry platoon towards the south via the Zhao-lin-Zheng forests to attack the rear of the enemy." Dai fu said softly as he handed off a piece of Scroll to Cao- which immediately cheered up Cao's face who was readily wanting to act for a long time by now.
Cao nodded and within the next minutes, A group of six hundred to eight hundred soldiers rode out of the southern gates- led by Dai fu and Liuentenent Cao; and this group immediately vanished into the mist of the Zhao-lin-Zheng's dense forests- which seemed to be engulfing the soldiers into it, only to hide it from any enemy scouts purging their heads into finding these troops.
.
.
Meanwhile, at the western side; The Khitan Chief Liu was already at his throbbing disadvantages- while leading his cavalry westwards, he had ignored the presence of a Jin outpost 2 kilometres away- and now, as that outpost had the advantage of being unnoticed; they did what they could have done best-
Heh...No attacking-
Guess what?
Remember that south-eastern city Jin of Shen Dian Zhen?
-Yeah, that one; which had something of an 'Eclipse army' stationed in it.
And, as informed earlier on that day (by that message sent earlier)- the Eclipse army of Shen-Dian-Zhen was ready to be deployed on the far western end of the northern hilly line of the Qing county; and as soon they got the word of an elite Khitan cavalry being on the move to the west, they set up a massive ambush in the hilly and misty lines of the northill forests- and having their numbers quadruple the enemies, they had a serious advantage;
Letting them have a reserve force of two thousand soldiers, which they still hid deep inside the ambush- making it unavoidable for the Khitan to make it out if fell.
But, things weren't so easy for them to keep those advantageous reserves- because as soon as they got the news of the Khitan cavalry closing in from their east, a Mongol cavalry division was already galloping towards them from the North.
This was the ultimate surprise which was planned by the Mongol Commander in Baohexiang, Deliberately trying to break through this disadvantageous open terrain- which may seem good for a cavalry-based army, but if that army is defending it's position; then, it's a bad idea-
I mean, a very bad one.
Noticing that cavalry division moving southwards towards them, The Jin Commander of the Eclipse army ordered his reserves to let the enemy soldiers dig deeper inside the mountain pass in North of Shen-Dian-Zhen, which was rather a risky one, but only if the Mongols reckon it to be safe; they will definitely try to pass through it and attack the Qing county's western flank- causing distress in the already outnumbered Black knights there.
.
.
Meanwhile, the Black knights cavalry was now deliberate to keep the tables turned for them as they struggled to keep harassing the now 'stablizing' Khitan forces in the area.
Since the ambushes were already used up and the little numbers of the Black knights cavalry was totally spilt up into smaller ambushing parties, their commander Zhang was forced to move his scattered forces deeper into the south giving ground to the Khitan army cobtinuously, almost reaching the Qing County outskirts.
But, the morale of the Jin troops was still high-
As,
All of these situations were predicted.
Each and every one of them.
The orders which flew past in the darkness of the night were not ordinary, they had the predicted situations written on them- Nothing seemed to be unexpected for the writer of those, except the writer was himself in a situation of being unexpectedly lucky all of a sudden-
Yes, the orders were written by Yun-
The person who was mentally moved by the deaths and blood just a day ago-
Now, he was firing the arrows remaining behind the shoulder's of other people, and still was totally unharmed by the chaos weaving surrounding him; it was like he was being protected by the 'destiny', the 'fate', the 'situations' itself!
"It's Luck; Pure luck!"
That's what it seems to be.
but, who knows this luck is just a bluff or dampened wick of a lamp-
Having Luck is one thing and keeping it is another!
Everything changes, if the time and luck changes.
