EPILOGUE

It was 10pm when I woke up. I immediately looked at the window to see if the ship had already departed. I saw the sea, I tried to look around to find the pier but all I see is water. I'm sure almost all passengers are asleep by now. So I decided to go up the sun deck, every ship has it, but I don't know how to go there so I asked a crew when I saw one. He guided me all the way to the sun deck. There are some people up here. Perhaps 20 or 30, I don't know.

I looked up and I saw a lot of stars. The wind in the sun deck is so strong that it gives me shivers. I leaned in a metal handrail as I look up and stare at those stars that will forever be special to me. I fixed a gaze at those stars then I slowly closed my eyes as I see her face in my mind. I don't know how far I am now or how great the distance we have in between. But all I know is that, her memories will always be with me. I don't know when we'll be able to see each other again. Maybe after a year or 2 or longer than that. Now I have another wish in my mind as I opened my eyes and looked at those stars again. I know time will come that she'll wonder where I am. One day she'll be angry with me of not informing her about these things. But I wish that when I come back, she'll listen to my explanations. For now, all I can do is to look up and imagine that she is all that I am staring at, as I look at it from a distance.
