Confrontation (3)

The corner of his lips turned up, "Even if we are good friends, you should always be on guard."

"Why, though? You have always been taking care of me ever since I entered this company. Why would I not trust you?"

Instead of answering me, he inserted the car keys, turned the car on, and started driving. He must be trying to inform me that we should start working and leave any personal emotions out of work. I let out a deep sigh and just watched the roads we passed by.

"Are we going to Yeosu-do today?" I asked.

He nodded in reply, "Weren't you excited to take great pictures of the beach in Yeosu island?"

"Yes, I am! The night beach is awesome!" I replied. "It's been a while since I have been here, and this is my hometown."

"I see; we will be arriving at noon. What food would you want to eat? Any recommendation?"

"Dolsan grilled oysters?"

"That sounds great."

After having grilled oysters for lunch, we went to Mosageum Beach and took pictures on the beach. We were by the beach, but Seungwoo and I were wearing office attire. We could cover them up using our long trench coats because it's getting colder these days.

Seungwoo was busy taking pictures, and I tried to help by suggesting who and where the lens in his camera would focus on and in which perspective would be better. I caught a glimpse of a grandma and grandpa walking around the beach and approached them for a small interview.

They held each other's arms, but it seemed like the grandma guided the grandpa to walk and feel the air on the beach. Both of them looked like they are in their late 60's. Grandma looked so happy, looking at the grandpa so much. It was my ideal romantic love.

"Hello, grandpa and grandma. How are you doing? I am Li Suji, an office worker in Seo Publishing Inc.," I spoke to them as I was walking towards the elderly and smiled. "We are trying to have an exhibit of love while promoting local tourist destinations in our novels. Can you tell me the secret recipe of a long-lasting relationship?"

I pulled my small notebook and ballpen to get myself ready to write whatever they say.

"Can you say that again, young miss?!" Grandpa yelled due to old age, and he can't hear me clearly, I think?

"I'll answer that instead," Grandma butted in and gave me a warm-hearted smile. "The key to a relationship long-lasting relationship is the compatibility of intimacy. There would be emotional, intellectual, and sexual compatibility of intimacy. I mean, these are the needs of your partner and you, and it is important to satisfy their needs as a person to develop more."

"I see, I see," I replied as I tried to write down everything Grandma said.

"Also," She added. "It's important to have trust in a relationship. I think if you trust a person, love will certainly follow. Don't you agree? If you have already opened your heart, then there's no turning back now."

"Thank you so much for the wise words, grandma," I said as I closed my small pocket notebook. "It was a pleasure to get to know your secret to a long-lasting relationship."

"Yes, it was nice meeting you, young miss." She replied as she tried to hold my hand. "I know that you will be able to complete what was already left behind in your past."

My eyes widened in shock as I heard the grandma's words. Is she a shaman?

The two elderly walked away from me as I heard someone's footsteps approaching me from my back. I turned around and found out it was Seungwoo. He was looking at my bewildered face in shock.

"You know, you tend to make a funny face whenever you are shocked." He said as he smiled, flashing his seemingly perfect teeth while showing his dimples. "It amazes me how ugly your face turns,"

I got riled up when he mentioned my face is ugly. I stomped my feet in frustration and glared at him, "How can you say it to my face that I am ugly? And I'm not ugly! I am adorable!"

"Yes, yes,"

"I am adorable!" I frowned, and he left me saying that he'll take more pictures. "You always just leave and don't like to listen to what I say!"

After a few hours of doing some street interviews and gathering more information, Seungwoo was also able to do his part well. It was a very productive day for us. We are currently at an abandoned amusement park in Yongmasan, Jungnang District, Seoul, from several places. As we were on our way to walk back to the entrance, the rain suddenly poured. Our umbrellas were in the car, so we have no choice but to run for our lives.

Seungwoo suddenly took off his coat, approached me, and handed over his trench coat. He started to run, but he turned to look back at me. I was so perplexed by the sudden turn of events that I froze. "Li Suji, do you want to die from the cold? Let's go for a run!"

He went back and grabbed his coat. Using his trench coat as the thing that would cover both of our heads from the rain, I was delighted with the sudden proximity he was showing. I ran along with him, but for the whole time, I was only looking at his dimples, his ear-piercing, and his seemingly sexy jawline. Everything around him was shining. I felt like I was in a fairy-tale, and then I realized I fell in love with him more than I should have.

I only thought about finding the reincarnated prince that I confused my feelings for him. I thought I was only interested in him since he was most likely the candidate for being the reincarnated prince. I realized that he already smote me from the very beginning. Knowing that he is the reincarnated prince fueled my curiosity more.

One thing is for sure.

I want him to be the reincarnated prince I have been looking for for so long. And if fate exists, he will undoubtedly become him.
