5. My Heart Somehow Cares!

My motive changed, I can feel her pains right here in my heart when I carried her in my arms, I could feel she had a painful and lonely past.

Which made me curious, then I looked through her, Somehow somewhere in my heart, a part of me wants to save her.

After several attempts that failed, I cleaned up her body, protected her in the hut with a powerful spell to prevent intruders into the hut because her scent will surely attract others. By so doing, I left for my castle.

All through the night, her thoughts filled my heart, how and ways to succeed in protecting her in secret without the knowledge of my packs pondered in my heart.

From the time of my Forefathers, humans have been banned from stepping into the Werewolf world. With this my only way to protect her is to safeguard her in the hut and protect her there until she will recover, but how will I treat her?

Being the Omega Werewolf Lord, how will I unfold this incidence to my pack? What example am I laying down for them?

Who will treat her and make it secret till eternity? All these were my question throughout the night.

I turned to see wifey sleeping peacefully, Though she barely sleeps once she does her body form changes and she lives with the new form for somedays until she sleeps again, that is she can shapeshift into any creature only when she falls asleep.

Turning to the time, it's already 6 am, 'wow! my thoughts whined away the time so fast!' I stood up and made my way to the Study room but I haven't gotten there when an idea crossed my mind which made my face sprouts smiles.

"Andrew!!!" I called out as my voice echoed not minding my sleeping wifey, then connected to him through his mind to send him a message as I can't wait for him to come by. To each of my servants, I'm connected to their minds to easily reach out to them for emergency purposes. Though not all as I just ascended the throne.

After little laments, I stormed out of the study room in hurry but bumped into wifey unaware as she was pacing up and down in front of the door. My mouth gaped seeing her and become more surprised with her form unchanged, 'Does that means she was pretending to be asleep?'

I grabbed her by the waist to prevent her from falling due to the shock she got as I stormed on her, her eyelashes were blinking as She stares speechless at me.

The expression on her face kept asking... 'What's happening?' as I made her stand properly and released my hands from her waist.

I made a calm reply to her Inquisitive facial expression before she could say any word, "Everything is fine" I whispered.

She looked at me intently but I quickly rubbed her cheeks with my palms, I did not want her to know about the girl not because I don't trust her but because I didn't expect myself to fall victim to helping a human girl, I did it to safeguard us.

"My Lord, I am just worried about the way you called on Andrew, it was unusual of you," She barely muttered in-between my palms, this made me chuckled, bringing my face closer to hers, "I will be late outside today, I have some works to wrap up," I said as if nothing happened.

She avoided my gaze as if hiding a hurt feeling and then stared at me sharply, "Please, explain to me maybe I can be of help" her voice fades.

"Was that why you pretended to be asleep huh?" I said and landed a peck on her right cheek before stepping back from her.

She still behaves indifferently with her gaze which made me caress her hair roughly, "Ouch!!" I let out as she slapped my chest, "I said nothing happened!" my voice fades like hers.

"Asisi!! Until when will you stop being cruel?" I said finding my way out of her presence but her gaze was tracing me as I left, I couldn't bear to leave watching the cunning eyes of hers, I rushed to her and made triple pecks on her forehead, "You deserve that" I winked at her then with speed, I ran out leaving the Castle.

On reaching the city gate, I met with my medical head along the woods because I had sent Andrew on an errand for the medical head.

As I sighted her some few meters away, I sent her to the ancient hut immediately and after some minutes, I disappeared along with her and we both reappeared few meters to the hut, she looked amused glancing around but I ignored her with a pretentious face.

"Lord! Why here?" She asked still glancing around, I held her hand and passed through the spell to the hut ignoring her question.

"I need you to help me in two ways" I replied with authority, I don't need to behave naively in front of my maid for asking her for help.

Her panicking behavior stopped on hearing my voice and she immediately bowed her head, "Your Majesty! Who am I to reject your request?! I'm always at your service Lord!" She replied.

I signaled to her, "Ok, come with me" with my hand dragging her impatiently.

On entering the girl's hut, I pointed at the girl on the bed while I stared at my medical head who already flinched on the spot, her mouth agape with enough space for flies to enter as she returned her gaze on me in a perplexed manner.

"She is hu..." She stammered covering her mouth, "...man" She murmured.

"Yes! This is the reason I want you to heal her by all means. Also, keep this a secret from the pack including my wife!" I replied with audacity.

She gently nodded moving towards the girl while I stood akimbo, 'The more I resist, the more my heart wants to save her."

After the Lady Medical Head examined her, she prepared some concussion as a soup, "The magic you performed on her was a perfect one Lord, it made her body stable, also her body can react to the environment" She said.

I nodded in response collecting the soup from her and sits closer to the girl's bed. For me, this isn't a job, I did want to save her.

"She will be able to gulp soup 'Sire'... Just that she might still be unconscious" She explained but I can only respond with a head nod and watch the girl passionately.

I sighted LMH taking some steps back then bow her head, "She may still be unconscious" She repeated, this pissed me off as my eyes sparked flames at her and her body shivers to bow her head repeatedly.

I shuddered as I continue to feed the girl then send LMH off fast as I don't want any further words of hers to piss me off.

Looking at this girl, my heart somehow cares for her.
