Chapter 5: Confirmation

"What? I think my hearing might have gone bad from playing my games loudly, but I think I heard that magic is widely used from different races in the world of... Uhhh...? What was that last word again?" Kyle asked with a face full of disbelief as he was suspicious of this entire situation.

"Kartora. This is the world of Kartora." The voice answered monotonously.

"Ah yes. Alright guys, this was a good prank up until now, but you ruined with the whole "magic exists" and the whole Kartora crap. I'll say that you guys got me good. Now, can you let me out and go home peacefully?" Kyle started talking happily with a hint of anger, as he was slowly clapping and looking around for any hidden cameras, microphones or personnel that were probably messing with him.

"Uhhh... Are you okay kid?" The voice answered with its slightly condescending tone this time.

"Oh yeah. I'm fine. I'm absolutely fine. I'm so fine, that I'm actually livid. You think that this is a funny joke? Having me go through all of that? The stupid puzzle, that painful experience in the middle and even that whole moment with my chest exploding. Do you still think that it's a funny prank? Because I do not. So you better bring me back home, before I do something that will make you regret for even messing with me." Kyle spoke had dropped his happy expression and was openly showing his anger and hostility, as he was looking around.

"..."

"You have nothing to say about yourself? Any excuses? Explanations? Bullshit stories that I probably won't believe?"

"... It seems that the previous record for the most unreasonable and annoying person that I have seen in the tower, has finally been broken. I guess I'll have to teach you a lesson personally." The voice sounded angry as it said that.

"Can't wait to see what you have in store." Kyle commented with a smug expression as he was waiting for some more pranks and for the pranker to reveal himself.

In the next moment, the most unexpected thing happened right in front of his eyes. He saw a ball of fire growing out of nowhere and couldn't believe what was happening in front of him. As Kyle was watching and examining the ball, it slowly grew in size, until it reached the size of a baseball and once it stopped growing for a few seconds, it suddenly launched towards Kyle and grazed him slightly on his right arm, as he tried to dodge to the left.

After the fireball shot itself, a water ball came from the left and shot itself towards Kyle, similarly with the fireball. Dodging the water ball, a mud ball suddenly appeared and the same thing happened. After he dodged the mud ball, he was suddenly assaulted with extreme pain on belly, as he felt like he was smacked with a sledgehammer on that place of his body.

As he was assaulted by the pain, he spat out some blood out of mouth, which in turn caused him to feel even more panicked. It wasn't before long another attack came at him, but this attack was a thunderbolt that suddenly appeared from the ceiling. His mind could barely even process the fact that he was watching an actual thunderbolt coming to him, before he instinctively swayed his body slightly to the side to avoid the bolt. The result of this, was that the thunderbolt slightly grazed Kyle on the right side of his right arm, but instead of entering inside him and starting to electrocute him, it just grazed his arm and then landed on the wall.

For the most part, Kyle was fine, but his right arm hurt as if someone had cut him with a hot knife. Adding the fact that his stomach was also hit with an invisible force, equal to powerful hit from a sledgehammer, he wasn't sure if he would be able to survive for long, let alone getting out of the entire situation. In the next instant though, a sudden burst of light blinded Kyle instantly and then he felt as if something had impaled him on various parts of his body, as it pushing him quickly.

In a couple of seconds, Kyle had collided on the wall as he gave a painful scream, then he suddenly felt as if something had bound him on the wall and the things that had impaled him, started to slowly disappear. Before long, he had slowly regained his vision and what he saw right in front of him had left him speechless. He saw wooden breaches coming out of the ground, as if those had somehow broken through a layer of concrete and were flourishing normally, without any problems and after a few seconds, black tape with a purplish hue appeared out of the wall and then it tied him up on every edge of his limbs.

"Was that proof enough for you?" The voice said in a condescending manner as the branches started to turn into light particles. Kyle on the other hand was beyond terrified on the situation at hand. He could barely process the events that happened right now, so he hadn't heard what the voice said when it asked, so it wasn't until the voice asked him again:

"I said, was that proof enough for you?"

"Y-Yeah. T-That... That's definitely enough proof for me."

"So, now that is over with, thankfully, can you pick your starting magic already? I want to call it a day already." The voice asked in an annoyed as it slowly unbound Kyle from the wall.

"... *hic* Goddamn it." At that moment, Kyle started crying slightly as he was trying to get get up from being bound on the wall.

"Hey, don't tell me I scared you so much that you started crying like a baby. What kind of crybaby has managed to pass my test now?" The voice spoke in an annoyed tone as it looking at Kyle.

"Damn it. *hic* Why... Just why did you have to prove that?" Kyle answered furiously with tears in his eyes.

"What's the problem with that? You asked for proof that magic existed, so I gave it to you. Heck, I even showed you all the eight elements of the world, so I don't see the problem."

"That's the problem, the fact that you proved that magic existed. Now, thanks to that, you have just confirmed the worst possible scenario for me."

"What do you mean by that? Kid, you should know that I'm just an ego. I'm not capable of comprehending you thoughts right now, so you have to give me an explanation." The answered in a less condescending manner this time and more with a tone of curiosity.

"That- That... Urgh..." At that moment, Kyle suddenly fell on the ground and felt extreme nausea and the urge to throw up.

"YOU JUST CONFIRMED THAT I JUST DIED AND THAT I'M IN ANOTHER WORLD WITH NO WAY BACK. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT YOU ALSO CONFIRMED THAT I DIED IN SUCH A GRUESOME WAY." At that moment, Kyle had completely snapped as he yelled with all of his power.
