"WHY ARE YOU STILL STAYING!! DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT YOU WOULDN'T ANYMORE?!"
A loud roar resounded from the hallway...
When Papi heard that, it was as if his soul had left his entire body. His face paled and eyes widen the second he had realised what that was about. He was sure that the voice belonged to Amy's boyfriend.
Is-Is he yelling at Amy..? Wa-Was it because of what I did?
Papi really didn't want to be the reason that Amy was being yelled at. He wanted Amy to stay for the same reason but didn't think that it would end up like this. Of course, he wouldn't be sure if that was what it was about until he had check it out, but he was too afraid to go and confirm it.
But he knew that he had to go confirm the scene outside. If it was Amy that was being yelled at, then the person that was yelling must be her boyfriend. If that was really the case, then he couldn't just leave Amy there. Mustering every single ounce of his courage, he walked towards the door and what was presented to him was...
"Ma-Marco, I can explain-"
"What else is there to explain?! It has been a whole fucking year and finally you've just decided to transfer...but now you have another reason again?!"
Standing one head taller than Amy, he was a slim guy with brown hair spiky hair which makes him another half a head taller than Amy. He seemed like he had an attitude that was screaming that he was a son of a gangster... well most student in this school are son or daughter of a gangster but he was especially so.
From just the way he dress, with dark brown leather jacket and that gangster aura he had around him, Papi was already ready to book it and leave...but that was until he saw Amy's expression. She again had the same expression as she did the day before...the day when she was telling Papi that she was transferring. It was obvious that she was on the verge of crying.
Papi was once again shocked by her reaction. He was sure that she had always been a strong and proud woman, but this time, she seemed rather small.
Fuck...Wh-What should I do...? It was my fault that she's in this situation to begin with...but what can I do?!
The dilemma was kicking in hard as his guilt started taking over him.
There's certainly a way... I could go in and be the white knight that saves her from him but... I think even Amy would agree with me that my life is more important than something like this. I'm sure she would understand and not blame me for it even if I don't take responsibility for this. Plus, a couple should deal with their own problem by themselves...Mhm, I should just go. Giving moral support from behind is the only thing I can do.
In an instant that was not more than just a few second, Papi already had a proud expression hanging on his face as he justified himself. He had nothing to do with this and can do nothing to help. Immediately right as he turned around to walk away, something that would make his guilt spiked up made its appearance.
"Hiik!"
It was the same shriek that Amy had made when Papi extended his hand to pat her head. How shaken and terrified she must be feeling right now. Papi knew exactly how she felt...it was the same as when he was beaten up by Danny...At that time, he had longed for a saviour but life wasn't that nice to him. And now, Amy was in the same position as he was in before...
All of this made his feeling of guilt and his feeling of wanting to protect spiked up even more. His body started moving against his will as he struggles to move. His eyes were widen and the both ends of his lip started curving up as he's face turned into his iconic Joker face.
Although on the inside he was really afraid and was on the verge of crying, to the other people around, he looked menacing. With that, his body involuntarily walked towards the scene. With a hair-raising voice, he said...
"Hey Amy~"
"Hiik!"
When Papi called out to Amy, Marco was immediately alarmed. Papi's voice was so creepy and sinister that he even felt a chill going down his spine. When he turned to the source of the voice, he was even shocked. What was presented to him scared him the fuck out.
From Papi's expression to his posture, they were all screaming that he was really the incarnation of Joker. He held his head high, as if looking down on everything like they just below him. There was an unapparent smirk on his face that could be seen as if everything was amusing to him. He stood there with his hands in his pocket, seemingly vulnerable, but there was no way one could approach him.
In reality though, Papi was just sweating like hell and had to hide his hands into his pocket. If he didn't do that, someone could have easily notice that his sweat were dripping like crazy. And for his expression, it was just that whenever he was scared, he would make a joker face and there was nothing he could do about it.
Shit! Shit! Shit! I've really mess the fuck up now!!
Marco was taken by surprise as to why someone like him was calling out to Amy when he was in the middle of a conversation with her. To him, someone who has this kind of aura must be an A class student.
But when he focused properly on Papi's face, only then he had realised who he was...It was only a nobody...after realising that there was nothing to worry about, Marco relaxed down and asked in a menacing voice...
"Wooi son of a bitch. Can't you see that we were talking-"
"Huh?"
Papi's was startled when Marco spoke in such a voice that his left eye twitched a little. It was already lucky that he didn't jump up and prostrate himself to beg for forgiveness, but to Marco, it was the total opposite.
'Oh shit... Di-Did I get the wrong person..? Di-Didn't he use to be the lackey that was under Danny...? How can such a person have such a vicious look?! Wasn't he suppose to be someone that was meant to be trampled on?! I-I'm sure he had killed someone before!!"
From only these few seconds, it could be seen that Marco was actually not as menacing as he looked...Actually, saying that he was not menacing was wrong. The actual word for this is that it was him who had thought that Papi was more intimidating than him. After all, he was still a class B student for a reason and to him, Papi was a person that was in the level of a class A.
'Fuck! I didn't know that even a lackey in class A was still way above a class B!!'
There again, Marco had once again mistaken about something else. In fact, most lackeys in class A were not as powerful or intimidating as even a class C student. They were only in class A because of the student they were slave to.
For example, Papi was actually someone that belonged to the bottom rank of class C. But it was because he was the lackey of Danny, a class A student, that he was also brought to class A.
Most of the student in class A are assigned to that class because they had powerful family background, power and wealth, so it made sense that they had to bring someone from the lower class to be the lackey. After all, how could a class A student be the lackey of another class A student. If they were that weak that they had to be a lackey, they wouldn't be in class A in the first place.
Mustering up his courage again, Marco barely spoke up again...
"I say can't you see that we were talking-!"
"Amy, what are you still doing here?"
"Hiik!"
'Fuck! He's fucking ignoring me!! He's fucking trying to embarrass me!!'
While Papi was doing his best to act like he didn't hear Marco, he turned towards Amy who was now totally pale, as if she had seen a ghost and was sweating as if she had just took a shower.
'Wh-Why is Bugsy he-here...'
Before Marco was able to do anything in response to the embarrassment he had received, Papi spoke up again. This time, he said in a more spine-chilling voice....
"Hey Amy...why aren't you doing your work?"
"Wh-What do you mean-"
"Woi!! I'm talking to you here! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO INTERUPT US WHEN WE WERE TALKING!!"
Marco couldn't take it anymore. From what he can see, Amy was really intimidated by Papi and there was no way he could let Papi keep on intimidating his girl. Because if there's one thing he knew about Amy, was that she only liked someone that was dominant, an alpha. That was the only reason why he had been acting all tough and douchey.
When Marco raised his voice, it had terrified Papi to the point that he began to tremble. He couldn't do this anymore... His heart had almost jumped into his mouth and he could hear it loud and clear, as if it was just right beside his ear beating rapidly.
He was starting to feel a little headache and his body became extremely hot. Veins were popping left and right on his forehead as his heart was beating too rapidly, pumping blood vigorously throughout his body.
HO-HOLY FUCK I'VE MADE HIM PISSED OFF!!
When he was trying to find a way to get Amy out of there, he had made a decision to lie about Amy still having work to do, but now he was utterly regretting. How could he had said a lie that he had no backup for? He was fucked and all he could do was to try to make something up. Stuttering, he looked towards Marco and said...
"Me-Me? I'm the class monitor and Amy is the vice monitor. I'm here to ask her to do the work he was assigned with..."
Papi was making up a story and tried to say it as nicely as possible in hope that Marco wouldn't get angry again...but it ended up more menacing than ever. His voice was so minacious and intimidating that everyone around felt their hair standing. To everyone around though, they could tell that Papi was utterly annoyed and was very angered by having Marco yelling at him. in fact it was the opposite.
"Is there a problem with that?"
Hearing that, Marco knew that he had angered the wrong person. How could he anger someone that had the most intimidating aura than any class A he had seen. He had literally fucked up and if there was a chance for him to get out of this, it would be now.
"Oh-Ohhh so-sorry about that!... Haha... I didn't know that Amy was a vice monitor in her class. So-Sorry about that Amy, yo-you must be very busy...Let's talk about it next time then.."
*ding dong dang deng*
With the perfectly timed bell, Marco quickly took the chance to turn around and leave with the excuse that class was starting. Everyone else too left the scene unsatisfied since the bell had ranged and the fight was canceled, leaving Amy standing there, confused by what Papi had just said.
As if God had heard his prayer, Papi heave a sigh of relieved and turned around, ready to leave before he felt someone pulling at the end of his sleeves. Turning around, Papi could see that it was Amy who was holding onto him. With a very tiny voice, she looked downward towards the floor and said..
"Th-Thank you..."
Hearing that tiny voice, all the fear that had accumulated in him disperse immediately and the only feeling left was the feeling of relieve. With that, he slowly extended his hand just like before, placing his palm on top of her head and said...
"I told you before, didn't I...? I told you not to worry...because I'll make sure to protect you..."
