I got to go

I felt a little uncomfortable at Mason's apartment. He told me to find a movie on Netflix, which I seen a lot of movies because I'm your average boring girl with no life. To the left of me, on the sofa, I picked up the remote and turned the tv on. I couldn't find Netflix, especially the brand the tv was. It was weird and I didn't recognize it, probably a cheap one. After all my searching for it, I finally found Netflix. Now the hard part is searching for a movie. I'll give it to Netflix, they have a ton of good movies out there, even from different countries. But I do dislike the ones were it's in a different language and you have english speakers speaking over their slow lips.

He came back as I was still struggling to find a movie for us to watch together, but the popcorn he brought in smelt so good. It reminded me of the movie theaters, where everyone is getting high priced candy (when you could get dollar tree candy...duh), slushies, and big buttery buckets of popcorn. Gosh take me back to that time where I was with my family enjoying a peaceful movie; laughing and joking around with one another, and the audience, we could enjoy it with them too. Oooooooo and I love the 3D movies too that jump right at you. Especially a good horror movie, or a movie like Jurassic Park.

He sat beside me and put the popcorn down the middle to seperate us. If it was a separation mark for him not to touch me, well it didn't work at all. We need, well I need, is a castle barrier, oh, or maybe a moat, you know the ones that castles use to protect themselves with water surrounding the place. I needed that, because this man is so touchy. His hand gradually slid to my thigh and he squeezed it just a little, just so he could feel satisfied with himself, but it didn't make me at all.

Yes, I do like affection, yet it's only the first date. Come to think of it, this feels like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode in my face.

"Hey, I see you can't seem to find a movie. Want me to pick?"

Oh thank god, yes I want him to pick. I looked at the clock and noticed that I've been sitting here for 20 minutes looking for one.

"Yes, please."

He then wraps his arms around me and gets close to my neck. Then he slowly brushes his fingers against mine. The remote was in my right hand so I felt as though he wanted to be sexy while he took it out of my hand. At this point I'm so done with this date. I do like Mason, however, he's just crossing boundaries too early.

"Ummmmmm, Mason?"

"Yea?" He looked so deep into my eyes and that smirk on his face gave me a signal that I needed to leave, he probably wanted to take this a step further and that's just a no no go.

"I have to go home now, it's getting late." Lying wasn't the best option so I used the truth but bent in enough to let me leave. As I said the words, his eyes got rather smaller than before, like he was sighing towards me just using his eyes. I felt a little bad, but this date made me very uncomfortable ever since I came to his house.

"Mason, I could call you tomorrow if you want?"

"Yeah, that'll be great. You have my number right?"

"Yes, I do." On the dating app the number is in the profile so people could contact you to meet up.

"Well let me walk you out. Oh wait, I'll drive you home, let me grabs my keys real quick."

"No, no. I can call an Uber. I'll be fine."

"Are you sure? I wouldn't mind at all."

"I'll be ok."

"Alrighty then." He got up and held my hand as we walked to his apartment door.

"So call tomorrow, right Julian?"

"Yes, most definitely." He hugged me and I started walking down the steps and waved bye, that's when I heard the door shut and my Uber was just pulling up. I got the Uber awhile ago while at Mason's, I just hated being there. As I got to the bottom of the stairs I saw a young guy walking his cute dog up the stairs. The dog was so adorable with gray and white fur on it. Jeez, I wanted that dog for myself, I should've asked what breed it was.

I got in the Uber and shut the door. It smelt kinda weird when I got in, but all Ubers won't smell the same. The driver did have cold bottled water in the back with snacks too, although my hungry self would take it, I decided to leave it be, anything could be poisoned.

The city lights were so beautiful. The darkness and the orange tinted lights shining on cars and the black paved roads grew a harmony with each other. I loved the nights where me and my friends would walk to the city and get ice cream and walk back home. Just the feel of the city is magnificent and lovely. You felt free and alive and you seemed you had the need to explore the wonders the city offered, and me and my teenage friends did just that a few years ago.

A couple of minutes pasted and as I was dazing into the city wonders through the car window, he told me I was home. I paid him and hopped out the car. I was so tired that I wanted to plop in my bed and go to sleep. My house was a decent size and I loved it. I bought the house, and it's fully paid for too. I worked hard to get it, and I couldn't think of ever selling it either. I opened the door to an empty house, no other soul lived with me, unless ghosts were lurking about. I dropped my purse by the door and closed it shut, I only walked a few steps to the couch and curled up like a ball and fell asleep.
