"Young L/N, did you hear what I said?" I nod staring at the floor in disbelieve. Backdraft had been badly injured in an incident involving a landslide. I've been enjoying my work study with him since last year, but now he's being put on medical leave and none of the other fire fighters want me around. Only Backdraft ever truly believed in me, he helped me pick my hero name. Now it's third year and work study is more important than ever. "All Might, do you think I could visit Backdraft at the hospital?"


 "I'm sure we can work something out Young L/N and I'll get back to you with an answer when I have one. In the meantime, you need to be thinking about what to do in place of your work study."


 "Yes, of course sir, I'll think of something."


 The school day went on in a blur. I think of Backdraft hoping he's ok and wish I didn't need to  look for a new work study. I walk down the hall and hear "Hey L/N wait up would ya?" I stop and smile apologetically at the approaching red head. "Oh, hey Kirishima sorry, got a lot on my mind"


 "Yeah I can imagine, I heard about Backdraft, sorry I know you love doing your work study with him. So what now?" I shake my head looking at my feet realizing this is first time I've talked to him alone in a few months, he's usually with Bakugo. "Don't look sad, I can make a good case to Fat Gum for you to come and do your work study with me!" My face flushed red, the last thing I wanted was Bakugo to think I was making a move on his boyfriend. " Oh I-I don't know Kiris-"


 "It'll be fun come on, we barely hang out any more. I feel like I lost a sister or something." I smile at his words, I've long thought of the goofy red head like the brother I always wanted. I nod at him and he runs off looking satisfied yelling behind him "I'll let you know tomorrow"


"She's going to hate you when she discovers your plan Eiji." Bakugo scolded me. "Aw, come on pebble, I'm telling you it'll work out, everyone will be happy. To be a good friend is manly, I'll be helping three people all at once." He tries to hide his smile, he knows he loves it when I'm being manly, even more so when I call him pebble. Besides my plan was fool proof. Fat Gum keeps saying that Suneater would be a more effective sidekick if he learned how to relax. L/N can totally help him with that while still keeping up with her work study. Besides Katsuki didn't see the way Suneater stared when I was looking through L/N's Insta to send my cousin pics of her. He's shy but I could see he liked her, I'm certain they will hit it off. So certain I never sent those pics to my cousin.


 Ring. Ring. Ring. Man, why does it seem like the phone rings forever when I'm excited for the reason I'm calling. "Hello, Red Riot, something I can help you with?" 


 "Fat Gum sir, I have a friend in need of a place to do work study"


 "Oh I didn't realize you knew any first years Red"


 "Well no sir, she's in my class actually. She was doing her work study with Backdraft"


 "Oh, I see. Poor girl, what is her quirk? Must be pretty good for you to be bringing her to my attention." 


 "Well sir her hero name is Solace, her quirk is comfort, she can safely lower the adrenaline and/or cortisol of those within 20 feet of her up to 60 people at a time. She can also sense fear and anxiety in others allowing her to locate victims."


 "Hmmmm, very interesting indeed. So she is really more of a support type?" 


 "That is her strong suit, but she can hold her own in a fight. She's the younger cousin of the Hero Joke and they both learned Martial arts at a young age."


 "Well Red if you think she will make a good addition to the team. Bring her along with you on Tuesday. If anything perhaps she can break past Suneaters nervousness long enough for him to see his own strength."
