Graduation

"Promise you'll come and see me" Eri squeaks out to the class with tears in her eyes. Everyone moves at once to hug her and pinky promise. Graduation has been a rollercoaster and we're all a little down again, yet happy Mr. Aizawa brought her along for the ceremony.

"You're my best little buddy" I tell her with tears in my eyes, I can't go too long without visiting you."

"Yeah, we'll always have a connection Eri, you saved me remember?" Deku pipes in.

"You're the only kid I can stand, so I'll come and see you." Bakugo chokes out clearly trying to hide his tears.

"Eri, I got them all the same gift, and it's for you too, I already gave them their part, now it's time you've had yours. Mr. Aizawa says smiling to himself with satisfaction. He hands her the gift bag he's been holding and all eyes are on her as she opens it.

"A phone? I don't understand, why are you giving me a phone Shota?" she ask confused. We all beam a huge smile at her as Mr. Aizawa helps her turn on the device. She takes it into her hands and starts looking through it. Happy tears come down her face as she explores its contents.

"It has all your phone numbers and pictures in here!" She hops up and down with excitement as her new phone pings. "Really Denki? You'll text me every day? This is the best gift ever" tears falling from her cheeks again as everyone wraps her into a hug.

I try to pay attention to the speech from Principal Nezu, but as always I'm distracted by how adorable he is and the soothing sound of his voice. They start calling names for each of us to come up and receive our diplomas. I look out into the crowd and spot my grandparents sitting with Emi and the Hagakures. I give them a smile and wave at them, happy they could be here for my big day. The crowd is a mix of families, pros we've worked with, and pros scouting the new graduates. Towards the back I see a tall figure covered in scars hiding in the shadows, I can feel his turquoise eyes and lean over to Todoroki whispering "Hey, Touya made it." He follows my gaze to see his brother shoot out a little blue flame as a hello.

After the ceremony is complete everyone starts gathering into the crowd talking happily with their families. Todoroki tells me to meet him where I saw his brother, he and Yaoyorozu slowly head that way while I tell my grandparents I would be right back. As I approach Touya stares at me intently, for some reason he is anxious. "Touya, this is my good friend L/N, I've told you about her before." He smiles at me "I remember the right hook you gave me just before we took Bakugo from that camp. I told that idiot Shigaraki his plan wouldn't work." I smile at him seeing him so close for the first time I really see the family resemblance. "Yes well, it's my understanding you've changed since then, so let us not dwell on it." He lets out a sigh of relief pulling his hair through his half white half black hair. "That's a load off, really didn't want you to hate me, terrible way to start our professional relationship." Wait, our what? Chimed up the voice. "Ah, here you are great job Shoto, it's better for these two to meet as soon as possible." Endeavor steps out of seemingly nowhere.

"I'm sorry sir, what's happening?"

"I'm afraid I can't go into too many details right now, but the commission is sending you in undercover soon with Touya, so you may as well get used to calling him Dabi. Hawks has all the details and will brief you when the time comes. In the meantime, you and Touya have a date tomorrow, congratulations on your engagement, you'll be a beautiful bride I'm sure." The fuck did he just say? Hell no, I'm NOT going on a date with burnt bacon boy over there, sure as fuck ain't gonna marry him either. Shut up inner voice, that was mean
