Tamakis Apartment

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. Tamakis apartment is a cozy studio in neutral colors and minimal furnishings. The small kitchen has a counter with two stools, an oversized beanbag sits in the living room in front of the TV, his full sized bed sits against a wall opposite of his closet which has no door. What I assume is the bathroom door is closed. I smile when a picture of us on my birthday comes into view hanging on the wall between the two doors. I feel him wrap both arms around me. "Make yourself comfortable bunny, I'll put on some tea."

I slip off my shoes and walk around to get a better look. I hadn't noticed before that the floor was wood, my feet were cold, but as clean as the place was I couldn't bare walk around with my shoes on. "I'm sorry, I don't have many visitors, Miro comes by when he's in town and I usually visit my parents at their place, I'll get you some socks, I know the floor is cold." He walks to the closet and opens some built in drawer I hadn't noticed before. He hands me the socks and watches me as I sit on the beanbag to pull them over my feet.

"I like your place, I hadn't thought much of what it might look like, but now that I'm here it suits you." He smiles genuinely for the first time tonight then heads back into the kitchen when the kettle whistles. "Is green matcha ok my love?" I nod wishing my first time here wasn't because we needed to have a serious discussion. I walk over towards the kitchen and sit on one of the barstools. "Babe, you know that even though I'm happy to be going under cover, I really wish I didn't have to spend so much time around another guy, pretending to love him." His face brightens a little at my words but says nothing. He stands on the other side of the counter drinking his tea.

I check my phone again anxious to hear from Endeavor. When I see that he messaged me almost half an hour ago I quickly read the message and smile at my phone. "You were checking your phone a lot at dinner, is everything ok bunny?"

"Yes, I've been waiting to hear from Endeavor, I asked him to find out what things I can and can't share with you. Before we get to that though, you haven't said anything, please tell me what you're thinking."

"I'm concerned about your safety, I can't understand why you have to work with someone who burns people to death with a smile on his face. I'm also aware he's been voted 'hottest villain' on several websites, so I'm feeling a little insecure he may take you away from me."

I walk over to him and put my arms around him. "My love, you could never be replaced. I promised to love you always and I meant it. As far as my safety goes, try not to worry too much, Dabi won't let anything bad happen to me, he promised earlier at graduation." He suddenly pulls from my hug and looks at me with pain and anger in his eyes, I quickly continue. "You can't tell anyone, but Dabi is actually Touya Todoroki, He's Endeavors oldest child, Shotos brother. That's why he was there, he just wanted to see his brother graduate. He's not as awful as he seems." His expression grows even more concerned his heart racing. He rushes towards the bed and puts his head between his legs, for the first time in weeks I use my quirk on him.

"I thought you would feel better knowing you have no reason to be afraid he wouldn't have my back."

"Nothing about this makes sense, he kills people, why would you trust him just because he's related to your friend."

"It's not as simple as all that. Between first and second year he went to the Todoroki house. Approached his younger siblings throwing himself at their feet sobbing and apologizing. He promised them he would do whatever it took to atone for the things he had done, explaining that he was so angry with their father he gathered powerful friends to help him take him down so he could save the rest of the family from him. You see, he used to be very abusive to his family, he's been trying to make it up to them after becoming number one, and everyone is coming around to it. When Touya saw this he just wanted his family back and to try to give his father another chance even though he nearly killed him when he was young."

I take Tamaki's hand, he sits sobbing in silence. "He's been working as a spy for the commission with Hawks ever since. He's done a lot and put himself in danger. He's proven that he's reformed. He tries not to kill people anymore, but still must sometimes in order to keep Shigaraki and the others from suspecting anything. That's why I feel I can trust him to have my back, his actions not his relations."
