And when they couldn't find Lucian while he was busy with father Cannor they tried to attack Katie.

But lady Liliana was a smart woman. She knew that if these high-class people found out that Katie was just a maid they would make things difficult for her. So she didn't let Katie stay alone. And in the process, she walked alone with Katie while ignoring other people in a way. 

"Liliana, what are you doing?" Mr Ruthmore walked over to his wife.

"What happened?" Lady Liliana turned towards her husband.

"Why are you standing here alone? You should talk to other people too," the man said softly.

"It won't leave a good impression if you do this," he said, sending a fleeting glance at Katie.

"I…sure," lady Liliana smiled. She was the host of today's party. If she ignored everyone, that would look bad on their part.

She then smiled at Katie.
