Chapter 5

"What?" Jodie exclaimed as she saw the anger in my eyes. I turned the phone to her so she could read Liam's message. Instead of sharing my frustration, she smiled. I questioned her through eye contact.

"He really gets on your nerve, doesn't he?" She giggled. I nodded.

"He's so annoying. He continously winds me up, makes me feel uncomfortable, belittles me and flirts with me just to make  it seem like I' desperateto sleep with him." I blutered out. She looked at me with a huge smile across her face.

"What?" I asked her. She giggled.

"You really like him." She explained. I shook my head.

   "I can't stand him, Irene!" I expressed.

"He winds you up, flirts with you and it means to you. All the signs a man gives when they like someone. When the girl bites to his wind ups, let them get to her and constantly thinks about him then she has the exact same feelings." She informed me. I groaned at her silly assumption.

"Don't be ridiculous." I scoffed. She continued to giggle.

"I'm going to the bathroom quickly. This alcoholis flowing right through me." She stood up and scurried up the stairs. I looked at my phone. I reply to Liam.

: What makes you think that?

: Because I can tell, you think about me all the time. I bet you haven't stopped talking about me either.

: Get your head out of your ass, Liam. I couldn't care less. Just be back by 8!

I put my phone back onto the table. Ieren came back down. The anger and frustration from Liam's ego was stirring through my body, as soon as Jodie asked me when what was wrong I couldn't hold it anymore. The alcohol pushed my confidence through the roof and I just bluttered it all out.

"Wait, wait, you what?! Why did you watch him?" She exclaimed. I slumped back in my chair.

"I don't know, Jodie. It was massive and I just couldn't look away." I explained.

"Damn, he must be hot." She laughed.

She stood up and walked over to the big glass cabinet and saw a load od picture frames.

   "Is that him!" She shouted.

"Yup." I replied. She was silent for a moment.

"Fucking hell, he's gorgeous!" She was drooling over the picture of him dressed in a blacksuit and tie. Standing next to his dad. Seemed like they were at some formal event, maybe a dinner party or a wedding. Irene turned around to looked at me.

"You're in trouble." She said and filled up my glass.

Soon enough umit was 8pm and there was still no sign of Liam. I was extremly drunk and so was Jodie.

"You're gonna have to get a taxi to a hotel. If my mom catches you here she'll go mad." I suggested and we both started sniggering.

We booked her a last minute hotel down the road. Finally, Liam came through the door with a different girl to last night. He was shocked to find me giggling away with an empty bottle of vodka in front of us.

"Uh-oh!" I laughed childishly. Jodie flashed an pressed expression as she set her eyes on Liam for the first time.

"Elle, have you been drinking?" He asked. I just sniggered at Irene.

"And what makes you think that?" I smirked. Liam didn't look amused at all.

"What's going on here?" The girl asked and looked at me down her nose.

This angered me. I stopped giggling and stumped to my feet.

"Do I have something on my face?" I snapped as her snooty expression increased. She laughed. I gritted my teeth.

"You won't be laughing in a minute you fucking-"

"That's enough, Elle!" Liam exclaimed and turned to the brunette woman he had brought back from his date.

"You'd better go while I deal with this." He quietly said to her.

I scoffed. She flashed me an evil look before leaving. Liam sighed and turned back to me.

"Jodie, have you got somewhere to stay?" He asked.

"Yup... we... b-booked a hotel... down the r-road." She stuttered as she replied.

She started sniggering again. Liam rang a taxi. Once the taxi had picked her up Liam directed the driver and came back into the house.

"Jesus Elise, how much did you drink?" He asked looking at the coffee table.

                 Liam's P.O.V

She wasn't in a right state! I can't have Mary and dad come home to find her like this. I need get her either sober up or to bed. I sighed. I walked over to her and put her arm around my neck. I guided her down the steps to her bedroom.

"I'm not tired, Liam!" She slurred.

I managed to get her to the botton step. She suddenly went over on her ankle and fell down. She squealed in pain. I picked her up in a cradle carry and took her into my bedroom. I checked the clock on the side it was 8:56pm. Dad and Mary were going to be home any second. I laid her onto my bed and told her to stay put. After that, I ran up the stairs and into the kitchen to grab an ice pack for Jennie's ankle. All of a sudden, headlights shone trhough the gap in the curtain and I heard dad's car pull up.

"Fuck!" I rushed to the sofa and put the ice pack behind pillow to avoid any questions. I threw the empty bottle of vodka under the sofa just in time for them to walk through the front door.

"Hey!" I gulped trying to act as normal as I could. Mary and dad were staring at me, confused and concerned.

"Where's Elise?" Mary asked. I tried to think up a quick lie.

"We had finished our movie and she wanted to have a quick shower and get an early night. Something about looking for a job in the morning." I lied.

The suspicion dissolved from their faces and they smiled.

"Did you have a good time?" I prodded trying to change the subject. Dad hung Mary's coat up.

"It was lovely, and if you and Elle are getting along better then hopefully it will be a regular thing." Dad proposed smiling at Mary.

"Great. That's lovely." I smiled at them. They made their way towards the stairs to go up to their room.

"We're gonna head off to bed, had a bit much drink." Mary giggled. I pressed my lips together and smiled.

"Oh, I know exactly what you mean."

Once they were out of sight I grabbed the empty bottle and threw it to the bottom of the bin bag. I tied it up the room a bit then took the ice pack down to Elise.

"Where did you go?" Elise stammered, barely opening her eyes. Luckily she had listened to me. She really stayed where I put her. I put the ice pack in a towel and put it onto her injured ankle.

"Ouch!" She cried out in pain. I apologised.

"What were you thinking?" I asked her. She just smiled back at me.

"Did you enjoy your date?" She spitefully said snarled. I shook my head to her childishness.

"Get some sleep, so we can talk about it in the morning." I instructed. She curled up into my bed.

I sighed deeply and sat beside her before laying down. I felt her soft skin pressed against my back which caused me to harden.

Fuck sake! I could fuck her brains out and she wouldn't care right now. But no, she's too drunk for that and my time will come. I shimmied always from her touch and manage to fall asleep.
