The Parting of the Ways

Spaceship...

"You know the Doctor. You understand him. You will predict his actions." The Dalek said.

"I don't know! And even if I did, I wouldn't tell you." Rose said.

"Predict! Predict! Predict!"

"Tardis detected in flight." Dalek 2 said.

"Launch missiles. Exterminate." The Dalek said.

"You can't! The Tardis hasn't got any defences. You're going to kill him." Rose said.

"You have predicted correctly."

Tardis...

"We've got incoming!" Jack said, while the Dalek missiles strike the Tardis, and there is a big fireball in the vacuum of space. "The extrapolator's working. We've got a fully functional forcefield. Try saying that when you're drunk."

"And for my next trick." The Doctor said, and the Tardis materialises around Rose and the nearest Dalek. "Rose, get down! Get down, Rose!"

"Exterminate!" The Dalek said, firing and misses.

Jack takes out the Dalek with the modified Defabricator.

"Now that was nice." Kirito said, looking at Jared and Asuna. "But all for one girl. Who looks pretty average. She is a bit cute too."

"What was that?" Asuna asked, angrily.

"Nothing. Nothing."

"Rose Tyler, I don't want my time with her to ever end." Jared said, happily. "She reminds me too much of you, Asuna."

"You did it." Rose said, hugging the Doctor. "Feels like I haven't seen you in years."

"I told you I'd come and get you." The Doctor said, looking at Rose.

"Never doubted it."

"I did. You all right?"

"Yeah. You?"

"Not bad, been better."

"Hey, don't I get a hug?" Jack asked.

"Oh, come here!" Rose said, happily.

"I was talking to him." Jack said, hugging Rose anyway. "Welcome home."

"Oh, I thought I'd never see you and Jared again."

"Oh, you were lucky. That was just a one shot wonder. Drained the gun of all its power supply. Now it's just a piece of junk."

"So, we're saving the Earth." Kirito said, and Jared nodded his head. "We'll live this. We've survived worse."

"Inside of virtual reality and in real life." Asuna said, agreeing with Jared. "But the Daleks, Team JNPR said they died."

"They were supposed to be dead." Jared said, looking between Kirito and Asuna. "Like the Laughing Coffin."

"You said they were extinct. How comes they're still alive?" Rose asked, looking at the Doctor.

"One minute they're the greatest threat in the Universe, the next minute they vanished out of time and space." Jack said, recalling what happened.

"They went off to fight a bigger war. The Time War…" The Doctor said.

"I thought that was just a legend."

"I was there. The war between the Daleks and the Time Lords, with the whole of creation at stake. My people were destroyed, but they took the Daleks with them. I almost thought it was worth it. Now it turns out they died for nothing."

"There's thousands of them now. We could hardly stop one. What're we going to do?" Rose asked.

"No good stood round here chin wagging. Human race, you'd gossip all day. The Daleks have got the answers. Let's go and meet the neighbours." The Doctor said, running to the doors.

"You can't go out there!"

Spaceship…

"Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!" The Daleks said.

The Dalek rays are stopped by a forcefield extending a good three metres out from the Tardis.

"Is that it? Useless! Nul points. It's all right, come on out. That forcefield can hold back anything." The Doctor said.

"Almost anything." Jack said.

"Yes, but I wasn't going to tell them that. Thanks."

"Sorry."

"Do you know what they call me in the ancient legends of the Dalek Homeworld? The Oncoming Storm. You might've removed all your emotions but I reckon right down deep in your DNA, there's one little spark left, and that's fear. Doesn't it just burn when you face me? So tell me. How did you survive the Time War?"

"They survived through me." The Dalek Emperor said.

The lights come up to reveal a large apparatus, which on closer inspection is an exploded giant Dalek casing, and a blue-skinned one-eyed mutant is happy for everyone to see it sitting there as if on its throne.

"Now that's one big Dalek." Kirito said, looking at the Dalek.

"The size of that thing." Asuna said, shocked.

"I would take bosses from virtual reality or video games to that." Jared said, smiling. "Especially bosses from Sword Art Online."

"Rose, Captain, Jared, Kirito, Asuna, this is the Emperor of the Daleks." The Doctor said.

"You destroyed us, Doctor. The Dalek race died in your inferno, but my ship survived, falling through time, crippled but alive." The Dalek Emperor said.

"I get it."

"Do not interrupt." A Dalek said.

"Do not interrupt." Dalek 2 said.

"Do not interrupt." Dalek 3 said.

"I think you're forgetting something. I'm the Doctor, and if there's one thing I can do, it's talk. I've got five billion languages, and you haven't got one way of stopping me. So if anybody's going to shut up, it's you! Okey doke. So, where were we?" The Doctor asked.

"We waited here in the dark space, damaged but rebuilding. Centuries passed, and we quietly infiltrated the systems of Earth, harvesting the waste of humanity. The prisoners, the refugees, the dispossessed. They all came to us. The bodies were filtered, pulped, sifted. The seed of the human race is perverted. Only one cell in a billion was fit to be nurtured." The Dalek Emperor said.

"So you created an army of Daleks out of the dead."

"That makes them half human." Rose said, sadly.

"That makes them a hybrid." Asuna said, agreeing with Rose. "Half Dalek, half human."

"I don't like the sound of that." Kirito said.

"Neither do I." Jared said, nodding his head. "At least it isn't half Time Lord, half Dalek."

"Those words are blasphemy." The Dalek Emperor said.

"Do not blaspheme." A Dalek said.

"Do not blaspheme." Dalek 2 said.

"Do not blaspheme." Dalek 3 said.

"Everything human has been purged. I cultivated pure and blessed Dalek." The Dalek Emperor said.

"Since when did the Daleks have a concept of blasphemy?" The Doctor asked.

"I reached into the dirt and made new life. I am the God of all Daleks!"

"Worship him. Worship him. Worship him." The Daleks said.

"They're insane. Hiding in silence for hundreds of years, that's enough to drive anyone mad. But it's worse than that. Driven mad by your own flesh. The stink of humanity. You hate your own existence. And that makes them more deadly than ever. We're going." The Doctor said, looking at the Dalek Emperor.

"You may not leave my presence." The Dalek Emperor said.

"Stay where you are." A Dalek said.

"Exterminate!" The Daleks said, and the Doctor, Rose, Jack, Jared, Kirito, and Asuna go back inside the Tardis. The Daleks start shooting at the forcefield again. "Exterminate! Exterminate!"

Tardis...

"Exterminate! Exterminate! Worship him! You will be exterminated!" The Daleks said.

"Those Daleks are a force to be reckoned with." Asuna said, leaning against the TARDIS console. "But so are we."

"What's the plan then?" Kirito asked, looking at Jared.

"We stop the Daleks, and protect the Earth." Jared said, excitedly. "We fight, and save others in the process. That's the plan."

Floor 500...

The Tardis materialises.

"Turn everything up. All transmitters full power, wide open. Now! Do it!" The Doctor said.

"What does this do?" Pavale asked.

"Stops the Daleks from transmatting on board. How did you get on? Did you contact Earth?"

"Well, we tried to warn them, but all they did was suspend our license because we stopped the programmes."

"And the planet's just sitting there, defenceless. Lynda, what're you still doing on board? I told you to evacuate everyone." The Doctor said, looking at Lynda.

"She wouldn't go."

"Didn't want to leave you." Lynda said, smiling.

"There weren't enough shuttles anyway, or I wouldn't be here. We've got about a hundred people stranded on Floor Zero." A woman said.

"Damn, one hundred people." Kirito said, looking at the woman. "And they'll staying there. We need to go down there."

"Kirito, I'll never leave you." Asuna said, looking at Kirito. "But going down there, it is suicide."

"You two are better up here." Jared said, laughing a lot. "Not down there."

"Oh, my God. The Fleet is moving. They're on their way." Pavale said, terrified.

"What can we do up here?" Kirito asked.

"A lot of things." Jared said, holding the Monado. "Especially when it comes to tech."

The Doctor is pulling bits out of the conduits, "Dalek plan. Big mistake, because what have they left me with? Anyone? Anyone? Oh, come on, it's obvious. A great big transmitter. This station. If I can change the signal, fold it back, sequence it, anyone?"

"You've got to be kidding." Jack said, shocked.

"Give the man a medal."

"A Delta Wave?"

"A Delta Wave!"

"What's a Delta Wave?" Rose asked.

"A wave of Van Cassadyne energy. It fries your brain. Stand in the way of a Delta Wave and your head gets barbequed." Jack said, as Jared is walking around the room.

"In other words, it's a more powerful version of the tech inside a Nerve Gear." Jared said, taking out a Nerve Gear from inside his pocket. "Picked this up last time I was here."

"Hang on, this is mine." Kirito said, looking at the helmet. "Where do you get this?"

"Oh, it was left here. 100 years ago. I picked it up."

"That means Yui is there." Asuna said, grinning. "What happens to this place exactly?"

"This place can transmit a massive wave. Wipe out the Daleks!" The Doctor said.

"Well, get started and do it then." Lynda said, looking at the Doctor.

"Trouble is, wave this size, building this big, brain as clever as mine, should take about, oh, three days? How long till the Fleet arrive?"

"Twenty two minutes." Pavale said.

"So, you've brought those guys from Beacon across all of time and space." Asuna said, looking at Jared. "Is there a chance you could do it with us?"

"I can." Jared said, eating burgers and fries with Kirito and Asuna. "And I will. After we stop the Daleks. The Doctor can take us anywhere. Anywhere you want."

"That means we'll be together forever." Kirito said, looking at Asuna. "And see what's out there. Beyond virtual reality."

"What does the Doctor have in store for the future?" Asuna asked.

"I don't know." Jared said, shrugging his shoulders. "Things will change with us being here."

Later, after some rerouting of bits and pieces.

"We've now got a forcefield so they can't blast us out of the sky, but that doesn't stop the Daleks from physically invading." Jack said.

"Do they know about the Delta Wave?" Pavale asked.

"They'll have worked it out at the same time. So, they want to stop the Doctor. That means they've got to get to this level, five hundred. Now, I can concentrate the extrapolator around the top six levels, five hundred to four nine five. So they'll penetrate the station below that at level four nine four and fight their way up."

"Who are they fighting?"

"They're fighting us." Kirito said, and Jared tossed him a sword. "Thanks."

"Don't mention it." Jared said, smiling. "Picked that up when we were in Victorian London."

"And what are we fighting with?" Pavale asked.

"The guards had guns with bastic bullets. That's enough to blow a Dalek wide open." Jack said.

"There's eight of us." The woman said.

"Rose, Jared, Kirito, Asuna you can help me. I need all these wires stripping bare." The Doctor said.

"Right, now there's four of us."

"Then let's move it. Into the lift. Isolate the lift controls." Jack said.

Pavale and his colleague run off.

"I just want to say, er, thanks, I suppose, and I'll do my best." Lynda said, walking up to the Doctor.

"Me too." The Doctor said, shaking Lynda's hand, before the blonde walks away.

"It's been fun, but I guess this is goodbye." Jack said.

"Don't talk like that. The Doctor's going to do it. You just watch him." Rose said, happily.

"Rose, you are worth fighting for. Jack said, kissing Rose. "Wish I'd never met you, Doctor, Jared. I was much better off as a coward." He then kissed the Doctor, then Jared. "See you in hell."

Jack leaves.

"He's going to be all right, isn't he?" Rose asked.

"He will be, at the end of this." Jared said, smiling. "I know he will."

"You're exactly like me." Kirito said, looking down at the sword Jared gave him. "What does the sword you have do?"

"It has a lot of cool arts." Jared said, holding the Monado. "It's helpful in combat."

Floor Zero…

Jack stands on a pile of crates and fires a machine gun into the air to get some attention, "One last time! Any more volunteers? There's an army about to invade this station. I need every last citizen to mount a defence."

"Don't listen to him. There aren't any Daleks. They disappeared thousands of years ago." Rodrick said, angrily.

The Floor Manager volunteers.

"Thanks. As for the rest of you, the Daleks will enter the station at floor four nine four and as far as I can tell, they'll head up, not down. But that's not a promise. So here's a few words of advice. Keep quiet. And if you hear fighting up above, if you hear us dying, then tell me that the Daleks aren't real. Don't make a sound. Let's go." Jack said, as he, Lynda and the few volunteers all get in the lift.

Floor 500…

"Suppose." Rose said.

"What?" The Doctor asked.

"Nothing."

"You said suppose."

"No, I was just thinking. I mean, obviously you can't, but, you've got a time machine. Why can't you just go back to last week and warn them?"

"As soon as the Tardis lands in that second, I become part of events, stuck in the timeline."

"Yeah, thought it'd be something like that…"

"There's another thing the Tardis could do. It could take us away. We could leave. Let history take its course. We go to Marbella in 1989."

"Yeah, but you'd never do that."

"No, but you could ask. Never even occurred to you, did it?"

"Well, I'm just too good."

"The Delta Wave's started building. How long does it need?" The Doctor asked, and they run over to a console.

"It doesn't need that long." Jared said, standing in front of the console with Kirito and Asuna. "We can get it done in a few."

"Is that bad? Okay, it's bad. How bad is it?" Rose asked.

"Rose Tyler, you're a genius! We can do it. If I use the Tardis to cross my old timeline. Yes!"

Tardis….

"Rose, hold that down and keep position." The Doctor said, looking at Rose and Jared. "And Jared, keep Kirito and Asuna lovey-dovey. And the rest of the SAO survivors, Leafa, and Sinon content with what's in the TARDIS."

"What's it do?" Rose asked, looking at what she is pressing. "This button?"

"Cancels the buffers. If I'm very clever and I'm more than clever, I'm brilliant, I might just save the world. Or rip it apart…"

"I'd go for the first one."

"Me too. Now, I've just got to go and power up the Game Station. Hold on!" The Doctor said, running out of the TARDIS console room and stops in the midst of his mares-nest of cables.

Floor 500…

"Rose, Jared." The Doctor said, looking back at the Tardis then points the sonic screwdriver at it. "I'm sorry. Keep those SAO survivors safe, even if it's before their own time."

TARDIS...

The engines start.

"Doctor, what're you doing? Can I take my hand off? It's moving." Rose said, running to the door. "Doctor, let us out!"

Floor 500...

"Let us out! Doctor, what've you done?" Rose asked, and the Tardis dematerialises.

Tardis...

A hologram appears.

"This is Emergency Programme One. Rose, Jared, now listen, this is important. If this message is activated, then it can only mean one thing. We must be in danger. And I mean fatal. I'm dead or about to die any second with no chance of escape." Holo-Doctor said.

"No!" Rose and Jared said at the same time.

"And that's okay. Hope it's a good death. But I promised to look after you, and that's what I'm doing. The Tardis is taking you home."

"I won't let you." Rose said.

"This can't happen, Spaceman!" Jared said, walking around the TARDIS console room. "It can't!"

"And I bet the both of you are fussing and moaning now. Typical. But hold on and just listen a bit more. The Tardis can never return for me. Emergency Programme One means I'm facing an enemy that should never get their hands on this machine. So this is what you should do. Let the Tardis die. Just let this old box gather dust. No one can open it. No one'll even notice it. Let it become a strange little thing standing on a street corner. And over the years, the world'll move on and the box will be buried. And if you want to remember me, then you can do one thing. That's all, one thing. Have a good life. Do that for me, Rose, Jared. Have fantastic lives. And Jared, I made it so that when the TARDIS shuts down, all the SAO survivors will be sent home. That includes the people that played GGO and ALO, they'll be sent home too." Holo-Doctor said.

The hologram flickers out.

"You can't do this to us. You can't. Take us back! Take us back! No!" Rose said, trying to use the controls, but the engine stops. She runs outside into the Powell Estate, then back inside. "Come on, fly. How do you fly? Come on, Jared, help me!"

"I don't know how to fly her." Jared said, walking around the TARDIS console room. "Ki...right, they've been sent home too. The Doctor must have added teleport features to their Augmas."

"And you're stuck in the wrong time and place." Rose said, letting out more tears. "I'm sorry."

"God, I wish I could have done something!" Jared said, kicking his foot onto the TARDIS console, and started crying a lot. "I have no motivation whatsoever!"

Powell Estate...

Rose and Jared finally gave up and goes outside. Mickey comes running down the road.

"I knew it! I was all the way down Clifton Parade, and I heard the engines. I thought, there's only one thing that makes a noise like that. What is it?" Mickey asked, and Rose hugs him, in tears.

Floor 494…

"Rose, Jared, Kirito, Asuna, I've called up the internal laser codes." Jack said.

Floor 500…

"There should be a different number on every screen. Can the four of you read them out to me?" Jack asked.

"They're not here." The Doctor said.

Floor 494…

"Of all the times to take a leak or to go to the virtual world." Jack said, annoyed.

Floor 500…

"When they get back, tell them to read me the codes." Jack said, on the view screen.

"They're not coming back." The Doctor said.

Floor 494…

"What do you mean? Where'd they go?" Jack asked.

Floor 500…

"Just get on with your work." The Doctor said.

"You took them home, didn't you?" Jack asked, on the view screen.

"Yeah."

Floor 494…

"The Delta Wave." Jack said.

Floor 500…

"Is it ever going to be ready?" Jack asked.

"Tell him the truth, Doctor. There is every possibility the Delta Wave could be complete, but no possibility of refining it. The Delta Wave must kill every living thing in its path, with no distinction between human and Dalek." The Dalek Emperor said, on the view screen.

Floor 494…

"All things will die…" The Dalek Emperor said.

Floor 500…

"...by your hand." The Dalek Emperor said, on the view screen.

"Doctor, the range of this transmitter covers the entire Earth." Jack said, on the view screen.

"You would destroy Daleks and Humans together. If I am God, the creator of all things, then what does that make you, Doctor?"

There are colonies out there. The Human Race would survive in some shape or form, but you're the only Daleks in existence. The whole Universe is in danger…" The Doctor said.

Floor 494…

"If I let you live." The Doctor said.

Floor 500…

"Do you see, Jack? That's the decision I've got to make for every living thing. Die as a human or live as a Dalek. What would you do?" The Doctor asked.

"You sent them home. They're safe. Keep working." Jack said, on the view screen.

Spaceship…

"But he will exterminate you!" The Dalek Emperor said.

Floor 494…

"Never doubted him." Jack said.

Floor 500…

"Never will." Jack said.

"Now, you tell me, God of all Daleks, because there's one thing I never worked out. The words Bad Wolf, spread across time and space, everywhere, drawing me in. How'd you manage that?" The Doctor asked.

"I did nothing." The Dalek Emperor said, on the view screen.

"Oh, come on, there's no secrets now, your worship." The Doctor said.

Spaceship…

"They are not part of my design. This is the Truth of God." The Dalek Emperor said.

The Doctor looks up at the BadWolf Corporation sign on the wall.

Cafe...

Whole chickens turn in a rotisserie. Jackie and Mickey are eating their meals out of polystyrene containers. Rose and Jared aren't hungry.

"And it's gone up market, this place. They're doing little tubs of coleslaw, now. It's not very nice. It tastes a bit sort of clinical." Jackie said.

"Have you tried that new pizza place down Minto Road?" Mickey asked.

"What's it selling?"

"Pizza."

"That's nice. Do they deliver?"

"Yeah."

"Oh, Rose, Jared, have something to eat…"

"I'm not hungry." Jared said, hand on its chin, and he lets out a sigh. "I really am not, Jackie."

"Two hundred thousand years in the future, he's dying, and there's nothing we can do." Rose said, and she is sitting next to Jared.

"Well, like you said two hundred thousand years. It's way off." Jackie said, angrily.

"It's not way off." Jared said, letting out another sigh. "It's happening now."

"That fight is happening right now, and he's fighting for us, for the whole planet, and we're just sitting here eating chips." Rose said, annoyed.

"Listen to me. God knows I have hated that man, but right now, I love him and do you know why? Because he did the right thing. He sent you and Jared back to me." Jackie said.

"But what do we do every day, mum? What do we do? Get up, catch the bus, go to work, come back home, eat chips and go to bed? Is that it?"

"It's what the rest of us do." Mickey said.

"But we can't!" Rose said, angrily.

"I can't go back to this life!" Jared said, agreeing with Rose. "It was boring, staying in one area for far too long. Doing the same things over and over again. I needed some excitement in there!"

"Why, because the both of you are better than us?" Mickey asked, looking between Rose and Jared.

"No, I didn't mean that. But it was. It was a better life. And we don't mean all the travelling and seeing aliens and spaceships and things. That don't matter. The Doctor showed us a better way of living your life. You know he showed you too. That you don't just give up. You don't just let things happen. You make a stand. You say no. You have the guts to do what's right when everyone else just runs away, and we just can't…" Rose said, dragging Jared out of the cafe with her.

Observation deck…

"Right, Lynda, you are my eyes and ears. When the Daleks get in, you can follow it on that screen and report it to me." Jack said.

"Understood." Lynda said.

"They'll detect you but the door's made of Hydra Combination. It should keep them out."

"Should?"

"It's the best I can do. How long till the Fleet arrives?"

"They've accelerated."

"This is it, ladies and gentlemen. We are at war!"

Daleks stream out of the flying saucers towards Game Station.

Powell Estate…

"Man, all the adventures I could have with the Doctor." Jared said, sadly. "Especially ones I could have in the virtual world with Kirito and Asuna, and the ones at Remnant with Teams RWBY and JNPR…"

"The both of you can't spend the rest of your life thinking about the Doctor. And Jared, you can't spend the rest of your life thinking about the virtual world and Team RWBY." Mickey said, looking between Rose and Jared.

"But how do we forget them?" Rose asked.

"The two of you have got to start living your own life. You know, a proper life, like the kind they never had." Mickey said, smiling.

"Team RWBY, Team JNPR, Kirito and the others have real lives." Jared said, happily. "Fighting Grimm or boss fights. The ones we have are boring."

"This life isn't boring. And Rose, this is the sort of life that you could have with me." Mickey said, looking back at Rose.

"Bad Wolf." Jared said, as Rose notices large letters painted on the tarmac of the play area. "Do you see what I see?"

"Yeah, I do. It's over here. It's over here as well!" Rose said, happily.

"That's been there for years. It's just a phrase. It's just words." Mickey said.

"I thought it was a warning. Maybe it's the opposite. Maybe it's a message. Jared, you knew and you told Team RWBY about it. How could I be so thick and not notice it? The same words written down now and two hundred thousand years in the future. It's a link between me and the Doctor. Bad Wolf here, Bad Wolf there."

"But if it's a message, what's it saying?"

"It's telling me, and Jared, you're telling me that I can get back. The least I can do is help him escape."

Floor 499…

"Stand your ground, everyone. Follow my commands. And good luck." Jack said.

Observation gallery…

"You were right. They're forcing the airlock on four nine four." Lynda said, and the whole satellite shakes, and the Daleks stream in.

Tardis…

"All the Tardis needs to do is make a return trip. Just reverse." Rose said.

"She just needs to time travel from the year 2006 to the year 200,100." Jared said, agreeing with Rose. "It's that easy."

"Yeah, but we still can't do it." Mickey said.

"Well, the TARDIS is telepathic. The ship is alive, she can listen to us. That's what the Doctor said, and I believe in him. And I have faith in him."

"It's not listening now, is it?"

"We need to get inside it. Last time we saw you, with the Slitheen, this middle bit opened, and there was this light, and the Doctor said it was the heart of the Tardis. If we can open it, I can make contact. I can tell it what to do." Rose said, coming up with a plan.

"Rose." Mickey said.

"Mmm?"

"If you go back, you're going to die."

"That's a risk I've got to take, because there's nothing left for me here."

"Nothing?"

"No."

"Okay, if that's what you think, let's get this thing open."

Observation deck…

"Okay, activate internal lasers. Slice them up." Jack said, and the floor manager did as she is told.

"Defences have gone offline. The Dalek's have overridden the lot." Lynda said.

The Floor Manager and other volunteers start shooting at the approaching Daleks. The bullets are absorbed into a forcefield around each Dalek.

"You lied to me! The bullets don't work!" The floor manager said, and she gets exterminated.

Tardis…

Mickey has fastened a heavy chain to the tow hitch on his Mini. The other end is fastened to the Tardis console. He drives forward slowly, trying to pull it open.

"Faster!" Rose said, angrily.

"Give it all you got, Mickey Mouse!" Jared said, standing next to Rose. "You've got this!"

Powell Estate…

Jackie watches as the Mini burns rubber fruitlessly.

"Come on!" Mickey said.

"It's not moving!" Rose said, and the chain breaks.

"Crap!" Jared said, while he and Rose kicked the TARDIS console in frustration. "We were so close!"

Observation gallery…

"Advance guard have made it…" Lynda said.

Floor 500…

"...to four nine five." Lynda said.

"Jack…" The Doctor said.

Floor 499…

"How're we doing?" The Doctor asked.

"Four nine five should be good. I like four nine five." Jack said, happily.

Floor 495…

"Identify yourself!" The Dalek said.

"You are the weakest link. Goodbye!" The Anne Droid said, and she vapourised three Daleks in quick succession.

Floor 499…

"Yes!" Jack said, excitedly.

Floor 495…

"You are the weakest link…" The Anne Droid said, as the next Dalek to enter blows her head off. "Goodbye."

"Proceed to next level." The Dalek said.

Observation gallery…

"They're flying up the ventilation shafts. No, wait a minute. Oh, my God. Why're they doing that? They're going down." Lynda said, sadly.

Floor Zero…

"Exterminate! Exterminate!" The Daleks said, entering the room and they cause panic. "Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate."

"You can't! You don't exist! It's not fair! I won the game! I should be rich! I'm a winner! You can't do this to me!" Rodrick said, angrily.

"Exterminate." A Dalek said.

Observation gallery…

Lynda turns off the sound on the console, "Floor Zero. They killed them all."

Tardis…

"It was never going to work, sweetheart. And the Doctor knew that. He just wanted the both of you to be safe." Jackie said, looking between Rose and Jared.

"I can't give up." Rose said.

"And you won't give up." Jared said, holding the Monado. "I've got your back, always. Rose Tyler."

"The two of you should lock the door. Walk away." Jackie said.

"Dad wouldn't give up." Rose said.

"Well, he's not here, is he? And even if he was, he'd say the same."

"No, he wouldn't. He'd tell me to try anything. If I could save the Doctor's life, try anything."

"Well, we're never going to know."

"Well, I know because I met him. I met Dad with Jared, Jaune, and Pyrrha."

"Don't be ridiculous."

"The Doctor took us back in time, and I met Dad."

"Don't say that."

"Remember when Dad died? There was someone with him. A girl, a blonde girl. She held his hand. You saw her from a distance, Mum. You saw her! Think about it. That was me. You saw me."

"Stop it." Jackie said, annoyed.

"That's how good the Doctor is." Rose said.

"Stop it! Just stop it!" Jackie said, leaving the TARDIS.

Floor 500…

"Lynda! What's happening on Earth?" The Doctor asked.

Observation deck…

"The Fleet's descending. They're bombing whole continents. Europa, Pacifica, the New American Alliance. Australasia's just gone." Lynda said, sadly.

Spaceship…

"This is perfection. I have created Heaven on Earth." The Dalek Emperor said.

Floor 499…

"Floor 499, we're the last defence. The bullets should work if you concentrate them on the Dalek's eyestalk. I've got the forcefield at maximum so Dalek fire power should be at its weakest." Jack said.

"I'm only here because of you. I joined the Programme because you were on it." Pavale said.

"Am I supposed to say, when this is all over and if we're still alive, maybe we could go for a drink?" A woman asked, looking at Pavale.

"That'd be nice."

"Yeah, well, tough." A woman said, giving him a wink and a smile.

Powell Estate…

"There's got to be something else we can do." Mickey said, frowning.

"Mum was right. Maybe we should just lock the door and walk away." Rose said.

"I'm not having that. I'm not having you just, just give up now. No way."

"I know we're not giving up." Jared said, laughing. "We need something bigger and stronger than your car, Mickey Mouse. Like a truck!"

A big yellow recovery truck comes round the corner and stops by the Tardis.

Jackie was driving, she exited the truck, "Right, you've only got this until six o'clock, so get on with it."

"Mum, where the hell did you get that from?" Rose asked, shocked.

"Rodrigo. He owes me a favour. Never mind why, but you were right about your dad, sweetheart. He was full of mad ideas, and it's exactly what he would've done. Now, get on with it before I change my mind." Jackie said, tossing the keys to Mickey.

Floor 500…

"Open fire!" Jack said, as the Doctor hears the gunfire and rushes to plug in a massive power cable.

The defenders are firing through slits in pieces of bulkhead.

"It's not working!" Pavale said.

"Concentrate your fire! Eyestalk, two o'clock!" Jack said, looking at the Dalek.

"My vision is impaired! I cannot see!" The Dalek said.

"We did it!" A woman said, and she promptly gets exterminated.

"No! No!" Pavale said, showing himself, firing over the top of the barricade, before getting exterminated.

Observation gallery…

"I've got a problem…" Lynda said, terrified.

"Human female detected." A Dalek said.

"They've found me."

Floor 500…

"You'll be all right, Lynda. That side of the station's reinforced against meteors." The Doctor said.

Observation gallery…

"Hope so! You know what they say about Earth workmanship." Lynda said.

A Dalek with an oxy-acetylene torch instead of sink plunger starts cutting through the door. Then she turns to see four Daleks rising up outside the big window. One fires, breaking the glass. Lynda screams, just once.

Floor 500…

Jack backs in, firing at Daleks, "Last man standing! For God's sake, Doctor, finish that thing and kill them!"

"Finish that thing and kill mankind." The Dalek Emperor said, on the view screen.

Powell Estate…

Once again, Jackie and Jared watches as Rose and Mickey use a chain to try and pull the Tardis console open.

"Keep going!" Rose said, angrily.

"You've got this, Mickey!" Jared said, happily.

"Put your foot down!" Jackie said, annoyed.

"Faster!" Rose said.

"Give it some more, Mickey!"

"Keep going!"

"Come on, come on!"

"Keep going!"

"Give it some more!"

"Hit the gas harder!" Jared said, and the TARDIS console burst open. "Yes! Go and save him, Bad Wolf Girl!"

Rose looks inside and golden energy streams into her eyes.

"Rose!" Mickey said, while the Tardis doors slam shut on him.

"It looks like I can hang out with Team RWBY for a while." Jared said, walking away, disappearing and the Tardis dematerialises. "You'll see me on Christmas Eve."
